If you zoom in on Civ VI Amphitheaters you can hear it play themes from previous Civ games

For what is shipped with the game, is it worth the $60 price tag? I want to get it, but I don't want to pay full price for a game which ship's with less maps than what came with 1942.
Shipped with the same maps as BF3/4. Just go to Greenman Gaming to get it for like $45.

In all seriousness, I wish the Gandhi meme would end. It's ran its joke long enough, pick a new leader for India.

Reality clearly has a liberal bias
SUUUUURE
Yeah, we're gonna read 34 pages of that shit.
If you can't read a 34 page article you don't deserve to claim reality has a bias in your favour.
I didn't claim anything. I just came in to act like the smug bitch I usually am, and I saw my target.

So if anyone is having any of those stuttering problems from time to time in the game, where everything seems to lag, from the picture to the sound, and get choppy, just turn Ambient Occlusion and Origin Overlay off. It's helped me out a lot, and AO in this game doesn't take away too much from the games look to make you want it back on. That, plus AO is always a huge performance hog.

Does anyone else find the bayonet charge absolutely useless?
They nerfed it bad.
I spent entire games in the beta just charging people.
But there are games now where I bounce off people even after hitting them head on with the bayonet.

Didn't get a clip of it, but I charged straight through a cluster of three people yesterday and pinged between their hitboxes, total horseshit.
It's still a bit okay, but yeah it's odd sometimes.

This we wuz souljas n shiet is really starting to heck me off. Like, black German soldiers, really DICE?

I have no quarrels with games that use a diverse range of characters in a fictional or historically accurate context, but if you're going to make a WWI game at least pay some respects to the 99% of white soldiers that died in the war.
Yeah it does seem out of place. Just make the black people the Americans and the Brits. The black Germans are just comical. Funny thing is they're not in SP, so they're just there for PR.

That's a while though. I think I like this game because it clicked to me like Civ 4 did, only with the general eye candy that was Civ Rev for the consoles. I dunno what it was with Civ 5, but I bought it a long while before I got my new PC, looking forward to it, then when I played it, just.... eh. Something was missing. It just felt so uninspired compared to Civ 4 and Rev.

Haven't seen a military FPS been reviewed so favorably since Cod 4/MW2. Never has a BF single player been praised so heavily. Even Bad Company 2 was faulted for its predictable "twist".

Looks like it's the real deal, boyz.
I didn't read what was in the link (since it 404'd for me) but it
YouTube

doesn't seem like it is the real deal.
Doesn't Total Biscuit shit on everything though?
He's a bit of a miserable sod.
As much as I like criticizing things (and trust me, I do), I'm not sure I can give much credit to people who make an entire career of just shitting on things without so much as giving positives either. It's insanely easy to just shit on everything.
Yep

It must be a pretty shitty life if the only enjoyment you get out of it is to shit on everything that other people like.
I kinda gave up on that mindset after my teenage years.

Trump turned the Republican party into the Workers party since they strayed away from their small business stance, and got in bed with big businesses. That's one of the very VERY few positives I can give Trump. Finally able to break the Ronald Reagan meme that has been that parties identity for 3.6 decades.

Why are there so many liberals on this site?
You don't have to be a liberal to realise what a terrible candidate Trump is.
Hence the majority of the Republican Party, and even Republican voters, voting for the other ticket.

So what does this one offer to amount to the £50 tag?
YouTube

I just like it because it reminds me of Civ Rev, which was my first Civ. That, plus the music is amazing, and Civ V just bored me a lot and didn't feel very inspired.

I wouldn't say this site is very liberal, a lot of us here just don't buy into the Trump meme
A lot of people don't, but at least they are knowledgeable he is not as dangerous and corrupt as Hillary.

It's kind of sad. I used to be able to lurk here every day and see so many new threads, but now it seems I'm seeing the same stuff everyday because hardly anyone is posting anymore.

Serious / Al Smith dinner tonight with Clinton X Trump
« on: October 20, 2016, 04:54:22 PM »
So to make matters even more awkward, Trump and Clinton will be seated one seat apart at the Al Smith dinner tonight. For those who don't know, the dinner is mainly to set aside political differences for one night for both sides of the parties, and come together for a dinner amidst a heated campaign. In 2012, Romney and Obama more or less complimented each others hard work and families, Mitt saying he doesn't dislike Obama, and both agreeing family is always more important than politics.

So we'll see how awkward that is, given they didn't shake hands last night.

Womanizing? So every man ever? Cause literally every normal man talks like that to their friends.
I like how Trump says something and you just believe it as if its common knowledge. It's not that normal.

Its pretty normal. I could read my group texts from the last 48 hours and its much more "womanizing" than anything Trump has said.
It sounds like college frat boys talking about women. It's not normal for a grown ass man.

Guess my father and his friends are "frat boys".

I guess my uncle and his fellow Vets at the VFW are "frat boys"
I dunno about that, but they sure do sound like immature misogynistic cunts.

Then every man ever is too

Sounding like a feminist.
We've come full circle.

Nice sweeping statement. All men are pigs. Anything to defend The Donster and not realize he's just an idiot. I want Mitt back. Maybe he can actually handle Russia rather than try to suck Putin's dick like Hillary and Trump have.

Luci has a point, people need to realize The Donald is just stirring the pot at this point. He's made his money off this campaign, and he managed to rile the fringe groups that were shunned by the establishment while he's at it. The last thing people should fear is Trump winning, they should be more worried on either the reaction immediately after Hillary wins, or who the fringe bring up in the next four-eight years.

Maybe if people didn't answer rhetoric with rhetoric, and demonize the last two Republican candidates as literally "The worst candidate ever", we wouldn't have gotten the worst candidate ever. 2008, everyone thought McCain was a horrible, racist, insane monster, partly because they were so dissatisfied with Bush and also because he was running against the Democrat Jesus, he doesn't look so bad in comparison does he? Literally the same scenario in 2012 only Romney gave up a month before the election and just phoned in his interviews, rallies, and debates.
McCain is a war hero, and Romney only wanted what was best for the nation through stability and tolerance. His entire healthcare system was what Obama got his idea from.

It's very sad just how far it's gotten, but this sort of thing is going on all around the world.
