I really enjoy Joe Scarborough and Mark Halperin. Halperin has consistently said that Trump could still win, even if it was tough. Even telling people that a week is forever in the political world and people would rebound to Trump.

Great video though, and he's right. NY Times and Washington Post, as well as CNN, really showed their true faces this election cycle.

Looks like dogshit? Try running like dogshit.

Holy hell, I've tried so much with this game, but (UN)surprisingly, this game is very fucking poorly optimized. I'm getting dips of 40 to 30 frames by simply turning and looking towards a group of trees. This with godrays off, AA as low as FXAA, and a bunch of other things.

I'm not the only one too. Currently trying to do the v-sync work around thing, but holy hell. This game shouldn't be this bad. I run better looking games than this at 60 EASILY.

Whelp. The derogatory slurs began on campus today.
My sister's friend at Harvard is here illegally. She's been staying at a friend's house because one of the roommates turned on her.

We had a couple "Fuck Muslims", "Fuck Gays", "Go Trump" written on bathroom walls. Nothing to cause alarm, but still disheartening.

100% was written by a liberal. I'd bet my house on that.
You know, normally I'd say you're an idiot. But when you see stories like this

http://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/news/crime_police/article_2e351106-a74b-11e6-86d9-cf799c2824a8.html?reload3

I'm more hesitant to instantly believe it was by a Trump supporter. That obviously doesn't mean all of them are lies, but I doubt all of them are completely real either.

This is absolutely fucking disgraceful. Putting aside my initial knee jerk reaction, BLM is a domestic terrorist organization and deserves be treated as such. They've repeatedly shown themselves to be no different than the Black Panthers, and yet the media continues to embrace them. If the left is ever going to get any of it's credibility back after this election, they need to stop enabling groups like this.
Were these even BLM? Even then, BLM's base message isn't a terrorist organization, but it's definitely been hijacked by people going too far.

I'm on the left and even that pisses me off. Do the country a favor and don't think these guys represent everyone on the left, just like some racist who supports Trump doesn't represent the entire right. These people are thugs who should be locked up, regardless of their political ideologies. This shit pisses me off and I hope they get caught.

The Flood / Re: what a disgusting fucked up society
« on: November 11, 2016, 12:44:39 AM »
The fact is that Hillary aligns with everything wrong with American government and Trump aligns with everything wrong with American society.  It's debatable which one is more important in a time like this.
no it isnt, society is far more important right now

everyones thinking is completely backwards
Tell that to almost all of middle America that lost their jobs because everything is turning to robots for manufacturing and other things slowly putting Americans/advanced nations out of jobs. The issue is after NAFTA was passed to help speed it up (it wasn't going to stay in America even without that), the government never helped these people find jobs, leaving them struggling. Though the Middle Class has slowly started getting fucked over in the 80's when Reagan came into office.

Pair that with constant corporate greed, and Washington being run by said corporations, and you'll have pretty pissed off people.

Social issues are important to you. To me. To our entire generation. Our generation however hasn't been in the workforce for 20 years, living stable lives, having stable wages, and living in stable homes, only to have it suddenly ripped away from you, and suddenly things go to shit for you. Shit where you're working two jobs now instead of one, working twice as many hours for the same wages you made 20 years ago when only having one job. The Great Recession people call it. For a LOT of Americans in the world, that recession is a DEpression. One that isn't getting any better for them.

The economy is what matters to these people, because social issues won't matter when they get evicted, or when they can't afford healthcare for their kids, or not be able to send them to college, or not be able to provide for their families like they used to be able to. Social issues won't be a priority to them because it's not having the direct impact on their lives, waking up every morning staring them in the face, knowing they can't do anything to fix their situation, and knowing they used to have a life not so long ago where they were the face of what the Middle Class was.

So you should really put yourself in the other sides shoe and see how the hell they're dealing with THEIR lives, before you unequivocally, without any shadow of a doubt, say social issues are more important than anything else. I feel we should all do that, on both sides, Democrat, Republican, whatever, instead of instantly blaming the other side for suddenly not agreeing 100% with what you feel, and what you think.

I said it because it seems you're being rather emotional again and posting rather angry. It came off a little cold. What I meant was basically, do yourself a favor and take a breather, and get away from all the cancerous political shit that has been the headlines in your life for a year now.

We should all do as much.
Yeah, agreed.

This works a lot better than "move on" or "get over it" or "just accept it," by the way.
Good. Play some Dark Souls, get yourself something good to drink or eat. Relax and at least be happy that this shit is finally over, at least for 4 years.

I thought you were gonna stop posting.
While lurking, I had a lot of things I wanted to post--so I should've saved the first thing I posted for last. I was getting pretty close to finished, actually.

But, if people like you are going to exploit that statement as a way of getting me to shut up, I guess I'll take it right back.

Sorry, but shutting down people who disagree with you is much more retarded.
So what's the message you're sending me by saying things like "I thought you were going to stop posting"?

Am I not allowed?

american liberals will use scapegoats like third party voters and abstaining voters to deny the fact that their candidate was awful, they wont move any further left because that would endanger their bottom line. will probably try to pander to some of the more "reasonable" republican voters. we'll know more about how the party changes its platform/overall approach as we edge closer to the next midterms.
Maybe the people will, but the people in charge? I think they'll do a lot of self reflecting and "what if?" moments, and see they have their own civil war. Because if they keep up this elitist people at the top dictating how things go, how people are chosen, when to do debates to shut someone up, and to promote a clearly corrupt person, they're going to lose the very people supporting them.

They have two years to reflect. 4 if you don't count the mid-terms. If people like Warren and her ideals don't come to the top, and help influence the new Democratic party (who I believe WILL be more left, and more populist), then they're finished.

They're not wrong. US can't play caretaker forever.

Why not? We're the best suited for it.
Because Europe needs to realize we can't protect every single nation from big bad Russia, and they should invest more in their military, much like Poland is doing in the wake of Russian aggression.

b-but the military is evil and only evil people have strong militaries and being militarily powerful literally makes you a Nazi
Then get me Hugo Boss, because I need to get the fashion back in line.

In related news, Howard Dean is running for Chariman of the DNC
Is this good or bad news for the new version of the DNC?

If Elizabeth Warren does not become the first female President in 2020, Trump will win a second term and the Democratic party will be functionally destroyed.

Screencap this.
It's already destroyed because they supported Clinton and they've lost on even the lower levels. They already know the formula to success.

Well this is ironic. I expected this from Texas or some other deeply conservative state first.
I'd like to see them try. Their stance on 2A is going to come and bite them in the ass with a vengeance.
Nah they won't. No state would. People are just upset and venting.

it's just that the government should have helped direct people into different jobs rather than leave them to their own accord.
Thanks, Bill.
What is this meme?
NAFTA

helped move manufacturing jobs to Mexico and Canada land.

Honestly, I feel bad for them. If they can't deal with this shit while still in school, theres NO CHANCE they'll ever be successful in the real world.

Well guess what - these students that you are deriding as immature, spoiled, whatever word you wish to use, they will be taking control of governments, both state and federally, in 10-20 years. You may not like it, but it is going to happen.

I'm guessing they'll be very different people in 10-20 years. From what I understand, a lot of the Baby Boomers that were involved with the counterculture of the 1960s later became conservatives and Republicans, so I imagine the pattern will repeat itself in some form.
It's been shown that the older you get, the more conservative you get. Not everyone, but you know what I mean.

Good post, but on your PSU point, he's been insanely tame, making me think he was posting inflammatory just to get a rise out of people.
That's not what he said.
I'm on about him shutting up about the rigged election, which almost always baited people into arguing with him, and thus it continued. He hasn't mentioned it, or much of anything bait wise after the election. Hell even during it he was relaxed.
Duh that was Flee's point
I know, and my point was that during the election he wasn't baiting and was calm, and afterwards he was as well, making me think it was all just inflammatory to get a rise out of people.

What's your point here? You could go back to replying to my post to you about how I was under a rock with that congress that totally wasn't under Republican control.

Democrats are pretty much where the Republicans were in 2008 - no party leader, an aging Congressional delegation, and no Congressional majority. Problem is, Democrats are also decimated at the state level, which is a long term issue.

I imagine we'll see the party tilt further left, with the strong chance of a Warren/Sanders type of Democrat getting a role in the party leadership. After that, it's really just a slow slog of trying to find solid and viable candidates.
This. Expect to see a rise in populism with people like Warren taking the helm. Sanders message should be a wake up call to Democrats, and this election more or less ousted the Clintonomics era of Democrats to an end.

Thank god.

Seven of the nine judiciaries that ruled on Roe v Wade were republican appointed. It's not going anywhere and neither is marriage equality.
You raised that up before, and I hope you are correct. I know gay marriage isn't. Obamacare is all but out though, but that was falling on its face before this was happening anyway.

Where do you get the idea that I think this is the end times?

I'm saying we're going to go through some really rough times due to this, everybody is.

You might be able to just say "oh well back to everyday life", but tons of people who will be directly affected by this can't.
It just feels like that's where you were coming from.

And yeah, but regardless of who won, tough times were ahead. Race relations were going to get worse regardless of who won. And the middle class, or whatever is left of it, will only suffer more unless something massive happens, and one person sadly can't do it.
