Holy fuck.  Wonder what that means for Episode VIII
They finished recording it before she got the heart attack. They'll either kill her off screen or CGI her briefly in ep 9.

Doesn't the grail just make a copy?

His instructions were for if he lost the war. Why would he give his daughter the servant he lost with?

Also, Gil currently lives outside of the natural rules of the game, seeing as he was a living being for those ten years and didn't disappear back in to the void like Saber at the end of the 4th war.

The Gil summoned in the 4th war was a copy of Gils record in the throne of heroes. But Gil was granted true incarnation at the end of the 4th war and therefore is an actual living being in the 5th.
We will never get Fate/Extra CCC translated and have the Gil closest to his real self. Kill me.

either learn nip or wait for the iwakara translation

i think i'm about half way through CCC right now, it's pretty good
Hold the phone, 2 things

1. You know Moon Runes?

2. They're translating it?

by the time i actually watch an anime and love it, everyone in the world will decide that they all hate anime now
What would constitute a good anime for you?
Anything that doesn't have fanservice, or the generic anime settings (like highshcool) you run across would be the first thing to make him even consider it.

Well I don't think we should expect much from an anime literally made by Pizza Hut.

I've honestly forgotten a lot of what goes on with that anime. The artstyle always annoyed me because everyone looks anorexic, and the music annoyed me a lot. Idk, I've enjoyed things of lower quality far better than I did Code Geass.
And I completely forgot about THAT crap. Advertising left and freaking right. God how annoying.

I actually preferred the second season over the first.

Mao was literally the worst fucking thing in both seasons, and season 2 had significantly less Nina (plus her fucking gold mine reaction face to Zero being alive). Seasons 1's battles also felt like nothing but a bunch of happenings and antics going on for no real reason.

Yeah I enjoyed it while watching, but I'm inclined to agree. The first season was acceptable because the plot wasn't too bad, but the 2nd season just went batshit crazy with so many things and I didn't like it.

I think the only thing I enjoyed in the end was the mom with the DSL's, and the relationship between the brown chick and Ougi.

Also, yeah you'll learn a lot of anime is garbage. A lot of it. Miyazaki wasn't lying when he said anime is dead/shit/whatever.

In fact the only time I've seemed to find an anime I really like is digging through things from the past and finding gems here and there. The season rotation I know a few people do contains almost all shitty things.

It's a negative kinda way to look at things, but it's true. A lot of it is just pandering, generic tropes/settings, and appealing to the LCD's. You're not going to find many masterpieces left and right, though you can say that with anything. I guess I am just picky and find some things hard to enjoy, but I'm not some elitist who thinks only subs are the only true way to go and blah blah blah a bunch of other crap.

I'm kinda mumbling at this point. Idk, ignore me? Sure, let's go with that.

I only do it if I've read it before, or if I'm in a small bit of a rush. I did it with Tomb Raider when they read out the scrolls. So many of em, don't have time to wait.

As for VN's like Fate, I have it auto complete and have the scrolling just fast enough for me to read and have a small waiting time, so the voice acting is evenly paced as well.

All the things I enjoy are meaningless entertainments that boil down to masturbatory pleasure, just like everybody else. Life is simply finding ways to get dopamine-induced pleasure and virtually nothing else. This is ultimately meaningless and therefore bad.

You know why it's called dopamine?

Because it's for dopes.
You must be fun at parties

Therefore, you're not invited to my birthday one. I'll draw your face and stick it on the door so they know who to look out for.

I'm invited right?
Sure

I'm not convinced
inviteeeeeeeed yay

I dunno. Maybe people actually want to feel good about themselves and find a reason to get out of bed, or to feel more confident. Self esteem is a thing.

Not everything is about the end game
i understand that--how else do you think i get out of bed

i just really wish we could be more than what we boil down to, philosophically speaking
We need the small things in life to help us go for the big goals in life. Picture it like a race car going for a pit stop to ultimately finish the race

bad analogy? maybe, but you get it

Not until October, so I won't feel worthless for another 10 months!

What about working out to lose weight and taking better care of your health?
Sure? But I don't really view personal health as all that important, and chances are, if you're working out, you're probably doing it for pretty dumb reasons. Like to help win meaningless competitions and have an easier time stuffing your genitals inside of people. Or to "live longer," as if living to 90 is all that much better than living to 70.

It seems to have too much weebery for me.
I was also hesitant at first, but don't let the art style fool you. It's actually very grounded. It's also made by non Japanese people, so you don't have to expect the whole generic VN things you'd usually expect (there is a reason I've only read 1 and only 1 VN ever).

I mean, it takes place in a bar for starters, along with dealing with some issues I'm sure we could all relate to. Just saying, take a look at it. It also has Overwhelming Positive, both overall and recent. Steam reviews tend to be one of the very few consensus reviews I can trust.

He likes grand strategy and RTS games. Nothing wrong with that. Now get off the high horse, I don't want the fall to hurt you, dear friend.
my ass is firmly planted on this horse

I'm sure you can find something. These are not the only kinds of games I enjoy.
if you like RTS games maybe you'll like sins of a solar empire

that's the only one i've played and had a good time with
I hated Sins of a Solar Empire, and I think I hate you now.

I could seriously get every game recommended to me so far.
The ones I recommended are pretty decent. If you want something a bit off the brand and more cyber punk/old school feeling, try this.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/447530/

It's basically a visual novel, but the story is fantastic, and the soundtrack for the cyber punk scene is to die for. Something to just sit back and relax to while sipping some tea (the first screen actually recommends you do that).

that's the thing--if those are the kind of games you're into, there's probably very little i could recommend to you

RTS: Total War: Warhammer

MMO: Final Fantasy 14 (it's better than ESO. Trust me.)

RPG: Dragon Age Inquisition/The Witcher 3 (i'd recommend Witcher more)

FPS: DOOM

Stealthy game: MGS V

Those are some solid games
