Lol

what?

2193
If he was black, I expect a riot.
There actually were protests the day he was shot, with a lot of people covering their faces and a few hurling shit at the cops.

Ever since Mark Duggan was shot in 2011 and the riots kicked off people are going to take police killings as an excuse to have a bust-up. Fucking animals.
Which is ironic because the guy shot was the kind of people weakening black people, not the cops who shot him.

2194
Is this surprising? I honestly wasn't expecting much different.
Maybe it's because I mostly hang out on econ-based subreddits; standard assumption was that economic insecurity was behind Brexit/Trump.
Brexit maybe, but not Trump. Whites (or the alt right, I guess?) are afraid they're slowly not becoming the dominant force in the US.

Should I just combine the two threads together?

Not to take away from this image because it's retarded if you don't think it's a hate crime

but I thought it was 4 people?

The Flood / Re: how much of a raise should i ask for?
« on: January 05, 2017, 03:51:44 PM »
Cut the guy some slack, he's asking people who're more experienced in the field, so pointing and going "lol noob" is sort of redundant.

OT: I think like some others said, 3 months might be a bit too early to be asking for a raise, regardless of where you're working. You honestly JUST started the job. I'd say wait until like, idk, 6 months minimum. Turkey seems to have more of a grasp on it than I do.

This'll be good for race relations.

I hope they're fucked for life.

and the banning mod
What are you trying to say?!

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/04/politics/free-weed-inauguration-day-washington-dc-donald-trump/

So a question regarding the law in general. Since it's passed already in the states, and Jeff Sessions in your granddaddy when it comes to weed ("good people don't smoke weed" he said), can the Federal government actually remove these laws, or is that overreach? I would assume the Supreme Court would get in and say a word if they tried.

I'd be reading that shit too if Merkel was my leader.
>germany has a centrist leader
>endorses nazism

just psu things

>Centrist
>Merkel

Choose 1
She's pretty centrist. Keep in mind Europeans as a whole are far more liberal than Americans. Their typical conservatives would be considered Democrats over here.

I wouldn't be too worried. Germans aren't exactly very fond of far right nationalists when it comes to its leaders for obvious reasons, as stated on this board before.

Serious / Re: GOP Push to Gut Congressional Ethics Committee
« on: January 04, 2017, 02:32:34 AM »
The House wants to replace the current Ethics committee that has caught three congress members in breaking the law and getting them jailed with a new ethics committee that wont take anonymous complaints and must answer to The House itself whereas the current one is made up of a small group that only answers to a slightly bigger group.

Can I get a tl;dr version of this?
So basically the Republican party is once again trying to work around the laws to further maintain its grip on power. Nice.

I know this thread is pretty much shot with the news update, but didn't the Republican party and governor of SC try this shit with the incoming Democratic governor and limit his power?

Yes, the Republican controlled North Carolina Legislature passed reforms limiting the power of Governor-Elect Cooper, a Democrat. The reforms were signed by outgoing Governor McCrory and are currently pending litigation in court.
Can't he take that to the Supreme Court?

It'd have to work it's way up the court system, but yes. It has the potential to make it there.
I assume it will, since this is a gross overreach.

2206
Ahaha

they do all look the same

They just did jack shit to try and change it.
Shows a lack of leadership. I think Trump coming in and saying this spoke how he might lead. I do have to give him credit.

Did anyone say that? I'm pretty sure it's people saying "big deal, they're not anymore important than others dying".

And hell, if you do like your job, you've probably been reduced to a soulless husk anyway.
Well that's just false. I love voice acting and would love to get paid to do that, because it wouldn't really feel like a "job" at all, other than spending time in the booth, which is something I enjoy doing.

You're banned I know, but maybe you can see this.

I'll withhold my own feelings on the ban length since I feel it's not right for a mod to discuss it openly in the public.

Either way, this thread this something.

I'm reading the thread and god it's annoying.

I don't get how Verb can go from someone logical to talk to, to illogical and childish in the snap of a finger.

I think he's exaggerating on purpose a few times (like the PC having no games, when it shares everything with consoles minus a handful of exclusives), but yeah.

Everyone but mudslimes are going to be persecuted.
Mudslimes are dying the most out of all those people though, and half of their religion has always been persecuted by the majority one in charge

I appreciate the actual reply. I know what you were getting at, I was just teasing <3
Did you have anything to say about my thoughts on the demo, or did Tru's response nail all your points?

Just to steer this back on topic.
I can't play it cuz PS4, but yeah I agree with both you and Tru. The music is honestly my second biggest sell for this game, aside from the gameplay. I like the design of the main girl, but I do agree the deliberate pantsu shots can be silly and eye rolley. Idk how I feel about the camera push. It could both serve as a no no, and more enticing on how you look at it.

Either way, I am looking forward to it. Will be playing Revengeance to hype it.

rip pineapples
Nah she didn't. She walked out crestfallen. A sore loser is not shaking hands or flipping them off or something. She just had her head hung low and looked beaten, which was sort of depressing to see.

I still highly recommend XII, best in the series.
We'll have to disagree here. 6 or 7, or even 10 is the best in the series, even if 7 is vastly overrated.

The main character for 12 is terrible. Gideon Emery is one of the few saving graces for that MMO that didn't quite make it.

12 is legitimately the best in the series.
Nope

Globally it's probably going to get worse with the way the politics and world are going. The Pax Americana is more or less coming to an end it seems, and Western society is in turmoil via immigration, along with Russia poking at them as well to try and reclaim their former glory. China meanwhile is going for the Economic victory, and America is an unknown under the Trump administration.

PERSONALLY however, things can look more bright for each of us. The world is in our hands, and we're all one year (hopefully) wiser. Learn from your mistakes in 2016, and improve on them, and try to find your happiness.

Thanks Luciana, I'll try. As far as how the world goes, that is indeed uncertain.
I may have been a bit drunk typing that and re-reading, it's way too mellow dramatic, but yeah. Try to find your own happiness and self worth and try not to let world news which doesn't really directly effect you, bring you down.
