We should all remember that unconventional =/= unconstitutional. We throw that word around a lot, but it's not getting as fucked over as often as we'd think.

Our loss of factory jobs isn't just because of simple trade deals. Much of it has to do with technology advancing too and robots overtaking simple jobs humans used to do. They're much more efficient, less accident prone, and you don't need to maintain as big a work safety environment for them.

You can be excited for Trump's trade/job policies all you want, and you're within your right to be as excited as you can be. It's just good to be aware of the happenings that go on around you, and the cause/effect of them is all.

I'll be the first to admit that even I know next to nothing when it comes to how local elected officials/governor of state handle the job situations. It's something I should honestly research.

ITT: Let's antagonize Deci because he voted for Trump.
That's not what anyone is saying. They're just saying you getting your job isn't related to Trump at all, along with Obama, who's policies on trade and whatever else job related are still in effect.

And even if Trumps policies were in effect, places like the one you applied to are down to the state level. So whoever your governor is, or local officials around your area, you should be thanking them.

Edit: You also never replied to my post when I said the thing about Trump and Obama. Don't ignore something I'm quite clearly trying to help you with so you better understand it. I'm not laughing at you for being wrong. I'm trying to help you understand what's happening.

The only person I just don't talk about it with is Flee, because him and I would get into very heated arguments before and its not worth fighting over it.
I don't think I've ever seen you defend your position in supporting Drumpf.

I'm just going to say this. I'm going to make a followup call on Wednesday. I'm likely going to get the job. If I do, I thank Based Trump.

I just got back from my interview at the machine shop. I'm not going to disclose the name of the business because I know most of you would Google it and start prank calling.

So...you're thanking Trump that you might get the job?

Do you really believe that correlation?

Its at least a possible outcome. What was crooked Hillary gonna do? Another 4 years of Obama? No thank you.
You getting a job has nothing to do with Trump nor Obama (who's policies are still mostly in place at the moment). It has more to do with your state level and even more local than that.

Apply some critical thinking every so often.

The only one I heard of so far that I consider credible is from CNET.

If this is true, Well... Fuck.

Still, I want a legit news article from a credible news source that's not CNET.
I just googled "Net neutrality" and went to the news section and got a bunch.

As opposed as I am to say this, I do kinda have to agree that I'd like other sources from a more credible news source.

I've not heard of these guys, and the page seems... shady.

Edit: Just looked at various other news sources. At the moment, they all seem to be speculative, however it is fact that the person he appointed as head of FCC was critical of Net Neutrality. So it is possibly at risk.

But really though, throwing my Trump hate out for a second.

I just want to see the man stick to his promises and focus on the trade deals, infrastructure, and military force again. Those 3 things are things I agree with him on. He just brings a lot of baggage and annoyances. If he kept his mouth shut and let his work do the talking, his approval rating would easily increase incredibly fast.

Even if he's gonna do shit I know I will 100% disagree with (such as the whole coal thing), I want to at least give him a chance.

The fact we're even arguing this because Trump brought it up due to his ego complex (or fear of the marches dominating the headlines), has me honestly kind of looking forward to what other petty things he's gonna bring up in the next 4 years.

His fat ass should stop worrying about how many people came and focus on his promises like he's doing atm. He did it on purpose though to counter the women marches around the globe, so whatever.

On that note, I wonder if him and Turkey will boost relations

In what universe is it a good statement to lie, from your first time behind the podium, 4 times in under 5 minutes?
Don't argue with Trumpets. Lies and Truths are whatever they do or do not agree with. They're subjective.

I just wish he'd shut the fuck up about crowd size and get over his ego and just focus on doing work.

Maybe then his approval rating wouldn't be in the 30's and people wouldn't hate him. Just do your job and shut up.

Also Kellyanne Conway is smart, she's just knowing what she has to say. I doubt she believes any of this. She's helped some good people run for office before.

If anything, I saw these protests as a way for the left to be rejuvenated after the crushing loss that fully showed the divide in the Democratic party. For as often as people talked about the Republican civil war, the Democrats were having one of their own, but it took this election to really draw it out.

Now these people are asking for a leader to lead them, and want things to change. I think people realize that their hubris let Donald win, and the media spinning it as though he had no chance, so why go vote? People were complacent and he won.

If anything, this election probably woke these idiots up who DIDN'T vote, because one can only ask "where were you 3 months ago?" But I understand why people didn't vote for Hillary, both due to Clinton fatigue, and all the baggage that came with her. So now the Democrats really need a leader, though preferably a young one.

It's not hard to get the Democrats back who voted for Obama or the working class white man, but they really need a message and a goal to rally behind. As stupid as MAGA was on hats, it was a rallying message. Democrats didn't have that.

So the next few years will present a challenge to see who exactly will lead. I'd put my money on Sanders, but he's in and out all the time, and the Democrats could really use someone younger who actually represents what these people want, rather than the same faces that've been in office with no competition the last 20 years.

the million dollar question is if this march will turn into action in any way, be it more effort on the local levels, or if it's just a one off. As much as I don't like the Tea Party, these people could take note and learn from how they came into office, and the efforts they went through on grassroots levels.

I... already explained it to you in my post where you replied with "I see". Last page

Yes because I got your point with that on why its not called All Lives Matter, but I still don't understand how that makes me a racist when I wasn't even trying to be racist to begin with.

Christ almighty I feel like this world is way too easily triggered these days.
It's racist because it completely invalidates the struggle blacks are even facing in this country, and treating it like the oppression they've faced isn't that big a deal.

It's not about being triggered. It's about the context of what both BLM and ALM means.

Okay I never had the intent to invalidate that. I'm just against any hate crimes. I never said that what that faced isn't a big deal. Racism is a big deal, either way.

However, two wrongs don't make a right. Just because it happened to them doesn't mean that someone who's white should get killed for it or severely beaten because they're white, or because of what white people historically did in the past.

We are not those white people, and I'm not a racist. If I'm a racist, I would be racist towards all humans in that regard.
I cam back to edit my post, but since you already did

I know YOU'RE not a racist. I wasn't accusing you ever of that, so sorry if that's how it came off. I just more so meant it in general to the statement. Trust me, I'm not the kind of person to fling around the word "racist" at everyone who might disagree with me.

Also, yes I agree. Whites today had literally nothing to do with slavery, and don't deserve the hate for it unless they advocate racism. However I would also argue blacks don't deserve the same hate simply because of gangs and stereotypes. Sadly, blacks are more prone to be cast into these groups of "thugs" than whites. Either way, I don't agree with violence, no.

"my guy had more people at his party than YOUR guy did!!!2"

So this is what the debate has come to.
To be fair, Trump started it as far as I know.
He did, because he can't stand losing to a blackie who held office in ANYTHING. Couldn't just move on and actually do his job, so now we have the Trumpets trying to quite clearly buy into what is clearly a lie, while the "left" is somehow looking around and going

'...but he's lying'.

So what's with the white lives matter too much sign in the back there?

Black Lives Matter thinks we suck dick so...
No they don't. At least not the "leaders"/core movement, but BLM's issue is that it doesn't have a universal message other than "fight the oppression", and no end game goal like MLK's movement did. Granted, it was WAY easier to rally against easily defined segregation, but still. They could use a strong leader right about now to clarify a message rather than the mess it is right now.

Or, they hate white people because they're white. Just like the ones that attacked the mentally disabled kid in Chicago.

MLK must be rolling in his grave now.
Yeah, because a group of thugs and those that act out defines the entire movement and an group of people.

I suppose all of MLK's followers were pretty shit too since some followed Malcolm X as well, who promoted more violent means.

They lack unity and leadership, but to assume the entire movement is hating whites simply for hating whites, is looking at things in way too narrow a view, and paints the entire thing in a black and white way, and movements like that are anything but that.

Even with several bad apples in a so called movement harm another person because they're white, it delegitimatizes the point of BLM being a movement. You might as well as call it the black version of the KKK then.

Also, Black Lives Matter? Why not All Lives Matter? At least the lives of innocent people. It shouldn't be singled out to one race but whatever.

But anyway, with those people as an example, if BLM is suppose to be a good thing, they make it look bad, and frankly, I don't see it as a good thing. If I ever run across a BLM event going on here, I'm getting the far fuck out of there asap, because I bet you it would turn into a riot fast.
it's black lives matter because black people specifically have been the victims of extremely unjust treatment for the entirety of the united states' history (they also have an intersectional approach when it comes to immigrants' rights & indigenous peoples' issues sooooo). they needed a movement to fight back against the powers that oppress them. it's not "black lives are the only lives that matter," it's just "black lives matter." only a fool would read hostility in their moniker. you're a fucking idiot and your racist statements are horrid. martin luther king jr would recoil with disgust seeing you invoke his name.

Deci is an ethnic minority. Therefore, he can't be racist because racism is prejudice plus power. Check your privledge, cishet white male.
mad/10

"I have no response, so I'm just going to say that you're mad"
you are clearly mad tho. anyway here's the issue: deci can't really benefit from racism due to the power+privilege thing, but that doesn't invalidate the fact that he does hold racist views. i think, in the back of your head, you already knew this.

I don't hold any racist views actually.

All I did was disagree with one thing and that suddenly makes me a racist?

Well that's childish.
The statement itself has a racist rhetoric behind it, but most who say it are ignorant to what it really means

The "all lives matter" phrase is racist at its core, but the ones that use it as an argument don't understand that.

Simple enough?
