ITT Flee points out everything he doesnt like about Bloodborne so he doesn't feel like he's missing out

Spoiler
jk flee
There probably is some truth to that, lol.

That being said though, I do think that Bloodborne looks amazing and I would feel like I'm missing out even if it really wasn't as good. But I must say that I was expecting more. The extreme diversity of weapons, armor and environments and the punishing nature of the PVP were some of the things that I loved the most about the previous Souls games. Bloodborne seems to be missing a lot of that.
You have to keep in mind though that each of Bloodborne's weapons have their own moveset and so many combo's to them, where as in Dark Souls it was just the case of a different looking weapon that swung the same. Sure they looked nice, but I can't tell you have my greatswords/normal swords I knew that did the exact same motions.

Armor is a different story, but I can look past it.

And it turns out that healing is back in PVP. Both sides can use blood vials during the fight. And seeing how they take only a fraction of a second to use, all PVP footage that I've seen so far had people using them like there's no tomorrow. This brings back bad memories of Demon Souls.
I'm sure they'll edit it in PvP arena's if there are any. But if you're invading, they SHOULD have a right to heal.

Still, this is a Souls game. PvP and MP sessions in general are never amazing at launch.

I've learned to combo properly which is a night and day difference. Kinda like the switch axe from monster hunter.

That and to grind out some kills for better gear. Goin a bit smoother now.
What IS the difference? I can't really tell.

I have a video for you my friend. Better than any of us could really explain I think.

But yeah, like Tyger said. What makes Demon different from Dark? But as someone who's played the game, I will say that any magical feeling you felt during the first run through Dark Souls 1, is right back here with this game.

It all comes down to the fact that Miyazaki wanted to make a dark souls game without being caught up in the dark souls lore or setting
Not at all. He wanted to make the hybrid of Demon and Dark Souls without resorting to B teams pathetic attempt at it (Dark Souls 2). He drew inspiration from both. I mean, it's obvious just from the setting and the doll's voice actress (same as the one in Demon Souls).

Do we really need an announcement of a Call of Duty? I mean we all know that they're going to start advertising the next one in the spring and it'll be out sometime in November of the same year just as surely as the sun comes up and goes down each day.
Mainly for trailers and wut not.

Black Ops 3 is a little much. 2 ended it nicely. Besides, I'm getting a bit tired of the whole black ops setting.

I wouldn't mind a WW2 shooter again. WaW's campaign captured the brutality of it perfectly and had such a dark and amazing atmosphere. Darkest CoD they ever did.

At least you actually got it for a reasonable price. You will very happy that you were not ripped off, because I think it is about $15 worth of content. That seems like a very fair price for what the game is.
Pretty much. Same price I got it for.

Yearly releases is another one

Sports I can understand (I enjoy FIFA but even as a soccer nerd, I know better than to get it every year), but games like CoD and Assassins Creed show that they're only in it for the money with little upgrades.

Which is a shame too because AC used to be good and actually have some effort put into it. But naturally, Ubisoft is just messing up everything.

Sprint and AAs in halo.
I dunno how it will be in Halo 5, but I do think Halo 4 was way too influenced by CoD.

I'm gonna regret asking but

why?
Every single time someone asks me this question, and I explain it, a shitstorm starts, so I'm gonna keep it simple.

I prefer to play games strictly in vanilla.

That's how the developers made the game, that's how the developers intended the game to be, and that's how I'm going to play the game.

To me, there is no such thing as a "lore friendly" mod. Any mod that could be conceived as "lore friendly" is something that the developers should have done themselves. For example--better graphics mods. It shouldn't be up to the community to fix your broke-ass game. The game should be good out of the gate. I shouldn't have to mod the game just to enjoy it, and if I have to, then why even bother? Play a game that's good even without mods.
You know what? I agree with you. Like, I'll take mods for say, Skyrim to help improve the game, but at the same time I actually say "Why should you have to NEED mods to make a game better? The developers should have done this anyway."

Graphics mods for age old games I can understand, but when you need to fix a PORT of a game (Skyrim, Dark Souls) because of the developers laziness, there is really no excuse.

Sorry for multiple posts, I just keep thinking of more.

Uhh... I think remaster's for this next gen is just silly. As a video brought up, so far the library for next gen stuff isn't that great and the highest game scores are of remasters from LAST gen/ports.

Last of Us, Halo, Dark Souls 2 soon, God of War 3, Tomb Raider, etc etc.

Oh, Verb mentioned this in another thread

Season Passes. The main turnoff for me with Battlefront 3 is an "aggressive DLC plan" by EA.

Aka: Things taken out of the game and thrown in via season pass

]Its just the lie for me. I dont mind it one way or the other. They seem to place the FPS in contributing to making their game feel "cinematic" when thats the other stuffs job.
It was Ubisoft that said it. That alone should make you realize it is a freaking lie and they're too lazy to push for 60. Besides, promoting something like this, much like EA's online passes, is something horrible for the industry.

You should be demanding the best out of the games you get, not a comfortable routine thing. I'm just glad people realize it's shit. I'm also glad EA got rid of online passes.

I'm surprised no one has said this yet

Early Access

Games have tried to follow the Minecraft effect and it led this this cancer of developers releasing clearly unfinished games and on some cases, not even finishing them. It ultimately led to fucking people over.

Still, people finally caught on that, much like pre-ordering, early access is a bad thing if you have to pay for it. So i'm glad it's scaling back.
