personally i like having a little bit of control over it rather than it being totally random. honestly felt like i got critical hits too often in the previous games.

I mean Fallout 3 gets hated on a lot, but one of the more consistent things that's liked about it, as opposed to New Vegas, is the world to explore. NV was a great game, but shit was nothing but deserts with small settlements here and there.
