A daily reminder that anyone who suggests middle American states are dumb.

You don't move there unless you've given up on your hopes and dreams.

That's what made Halo 4 bad

But uhh, I'm curious if the MP drop off will be as severe as it was in Halo 4, where only like 10k people were playing after 2 months.

Because nobody cares about a bad game?
Now I know to invalidate all of your opinions aboot Halo from here on out.
"He doesn't agree with my opinions so I'll shut his reasoning out".

Sounds like pretty good thinking. You'd fit in with the Tumblrites.

It's like you guys don't take into account the MP when comparing Halo games.

Any game charged at full price should be able to stand on it's own single player.
Maybe in the 90's.

It is the year of our lord 2015 where MP is a huge aspect of things now, especially FPS's. Those usually have like 6 hour long average campaign's. RPG's and things should have SP games that stand on their own.

If anyone has played the Dust mod for new Vegas that gives a very accurate representation of what would happen if the NCR won and got control of the Mojave
I was thinking about it.

I really don't.
Well sad to say, it's part of what makes the whole picture, so you should. That being said, Halo 4's MP took away what Halo was, and was a mess for a long time.

Probably isn't now, but idk.

Yeah, it kinda was...until 4 came out.

But..... But... Halo 3.... is.... be..

Sorry bud, but I just felt that Halo 4 had a more professionally written story.
No amount of story can save Call of Duty: Future Space Warfighter
When did you last play Halo 4?
I didn't buy MCC if that's what your asking.

I like my games finished.

I play NCR or Indy sheerly because you don't have to blow up the Brotherhood. Call me a dick, but I actually like the classic Brotherhood/ FO3 Outcasts and can never bear to bring myself to kill them.

Besides, surely having the Brotherhood, Boomers and a massive army of Securitrons, plus whatever you find in Big MT and Sierra Madre and the Strip Families on your side would be able to keep order pretty well.

I mean, my FNV headcanon dictates that the Courier, with the Brotherhood's knowledge at their side, is able to unlock the technologies and weaponry of the Divide, BMT and Madre to basically create a post-war superpower able to rival the Legion or NCR. Complete with a whole dozen silos worth of nuclear weapons and invincible holo-soldiers. In doing this, the Vegas nation slowly grows bigger and bigger, in a shaky NATO-esque alliance with NCR and an active war with Legion.
Also, this has to be the most creative outlook on Indie ending I've seen. Could write a story about that.

Also on actual lore now that I'm in the mood (huge fallout nerd).

I think Mr. House is the best choice for the place for obvious reasons, but at the same time I think he saves the NCR. The NCR was expanding too quick and with Bush Kimball in charge with his imperialistic and war mongering ways, it only makes it worse. The corruption is bad, people are pissed at the NCR for taking land so rapidly, and yeah, corruption is terrible.

By letting the NCR retreat and Kimball take the fall, the NCR ousts him out (probably) and focuses more on domestic shit and consolidating their borders like with Tandi.

On the comment of Tandi, Caesar brought up a great point in that when Tandi died and the democracy really had a chance to "start", it was quickly overrun with corruption like Pre-war America. If the NCR took over, odds are they're be stretched too thin (they already are when NV starts), resources would be thin, and even more corruption would be going around.

Just my two cents.

Speaking of BoS outcasts, I really think that Fallout 3's main quest should have focused on the Brotherhood civil war instead of the Enclave.

I mean, it could be pretty much as it was up until the bit where you've found Qui-Gon and then shift to the civil war.

Kind of like how the Imperial-stormcloak thing is way more interesting than the dragons in Skyrim.
I think Fallout 4 will focus more on the old school BoS and not the DC chapter, seeing as you're killing them in trailers.

Why do th call it Greenland if it's covered in snow year-round?

Because people like to fuck with each other.
Didn't the Vikings do that to confuse people or something? And Iceland is the nice paradise.

But they can though... at a slight cost to your reputation with the NCR, but it can be done.

You mean siding with House? He's the only one who actually has no option to side with the Brotherhood (apart from I assume the Legion, who are just shit).

Anywho, I've always had a bad feeling about Mr House. He virtually ruled pre-war America what with his technology industry so I'm surprised he didn't join up with the Enclave when it decided to go like Poseidon Energy and other undisclosed parties (...or perhaps he did and distanced himself, I dunno). Now that he survived the Great War, he wants to rule post-war America too, although in the short term he's only concerned with New Vegas and the surrounding area.

That just screams hidden evil at me.
Oops

yeah I meant House. And meh, he just hates what the world has become and doesn't give a fuck about politics.

huh, I was considering something similar... as an MGS newbie. Start with MGS1 on PSN, get the HD Collection, then play my neglected MGS4. Should I do it?

Alternatively, I could hunt down the PS2 versions, but then I'd miss out on Peace Walker because I ain't gettin a PSP
Honestly, I don't think you're missing much with Peacewalker. It's a PSP game so going to it right after 4 would be jarring. Lack on controls and all, and it's SO easy.

You might be better off sticking to cutscenes on youtube.
Oi how dare you. Peace Walker is gr8 m8. Doing the missions and building up your staff with Mother Base is cool.
Building up your staff is cool but it's so damn easy and boring each mission. The enemy is so freaking blind.

Big Boss in his current age (MGS V) looks better without it. I always saw him having the bandanna as a more immature part of him holding onto the past.

In fact, I completely forgot he didn't even have it on in Ground Zeroes because it looked more natural without it.

A reminder that Obsidian didn't let NCR and Brotherhood of Steel get along because they'd think players would choose that path over all else.

But none of them matter in the end
In a way. NCR is going to start falling apart at any minute from over-expansion. The Legion will lose direction after Caesar dies. House can last indefinitely, but that's assuming his plan to land on a heavenly body in the next 100 years works; otherwise, he'll end up stagnating too. Independent New Vegas can last as long as you can hold it.
That's a shit excuse. You could get overrun easily.

Don't people understand that an outpouring of uneducated brainwashed skeletons is really fucking bad?
Almost all North Korean citizens aren't brainwashed, they're just basically held at gunpoint and told what to do when a camera is around them.

If you see when they interview them, you can literally see the fear behind their eyes. The body language shows it all as well. Stiff, proper, speaking in a professional tone like being put on stage.

Then compare it to the South citizens talking and it's like any other citizen in the world talking when news media bug em. Mainly relaxed and with a calm voice.

So I've sank like 6 hours into Peace Walker, and while it's okay, I really really can't find myself liking it like the other Metal Gears. The bosses, the supporting characters other than Miller, and the gameplay itself.

The gameplay feels so shallow to me, and it is SO freaking easy that I'm just waltzing through. I can't bring myself to finish it.

I'm just gonna watch the movie version to a story I already really know, but yeah. It is the only MG I won't finish.

hahaha

I meant the armor and spartans, silly. Facial animations were shit.
