Also, I feel the bandada doesn't match Big Boss in this game. He threw it out with The Boss at the end of Peace Walker anyway, signalling he was ready to let go and choose his own path (which he basically says).
I always felt it was more fitting for Solid, who wears it for... whatever reason.

I know it's in the game...
You just research it after getting a bit further in the game I believe. Make sure you're recruiting the soldiers for that field as well and building the struts for em. I use it ALL the time.

I play with reflex mode on, but I feel I've gotten good enough to turn it off.
Also, rolling while prone is the best damn thing at night. I feel so tactical.

Spoiler On the way to getting Huey, I snuck through that entire base, crawling, diving, etc. That was the most satisfying infiltration I've had.
Then I stormed out and blew up vehicles left and right on that cool little automobile thing. Also pro tip: If you dive while on stairs, you'll shoot all the way up to the top.

I asked my dad's onions about the Soviet invasion back then. He was 22 and in the Marines, so I felt I had to know. He thought it was bad (obviously), but doesn't really hate the Soviets or any of that. Probably because he was 22 by the time the Cold War was really almost already over.
He was in the first Gulf War as a tank commander too. Lost 10 of his friends due to friendly fire unfortunately. THAT, he doesn't talk about much obviously. I'll have to really ask him when he's in a good mood one day.
Edit: Pretty cool though when he went BACK to Afghanistan a few years back to train the army (He works at Black Water as a fire arms instructor. The man is like Big Boss and knows CQC to an insane extent and shit lol. Though they call it CQB), he mentioned how he still saw blown up Soviet tanks scattered across the sides of roads and everything.

Do yourself a favor and actually play the game Miyazaki had his touch on. He's like Kojima and MGS. Without him, it's not Souls.
Dark Souls 2 has much better PvP though.
No arguing that. But the majority of the Souls experience comes from the atmosphere, bosses, music, and everything else. PvP is the thing that helps keep the longevity. Dark Souls 1 nailed all of those mentioned above better (except PvP).

I like the gameplay to this game better than all the other Metal Gears, but in terms of story so far, I still think MGS3 is my favorite. I'm still not that far though, mind you, so it might change.

Okay so I am officially going to get it. Only one answer remains, should I get it for PC or should I get it for Xbox 360 or PS3?
What did you end up getting it for, btw? General consensus is:
PS3 is a no go unless you live in Japan because its community is dead.
Xbox 360 has the most active / best PVP community still, so it's a very popular choice.
PC offers the best single player experience due to 60fps and best performance, but lacks in the multiplayer department.

I hope you have the mod and controller to actually make it playable. The port was awful.

I'm honestly just waiting to see where Miller has a falling out with Big Boss.
Because in Metal Gear 2, he calls him a monster and urges Snake to kill him. I feel that needs a LOT of clarification.
He was referring to Big Boss' bionic implants.
Was he? Even if he was, I want to know more. Why does he leave? Why is he on the Patriots side? Why is he supporting the son killing a person he said "will always have your back"? I want context on that stuff. It seems to me they had a massive falling out. Even in Peace Walker he's in contact with Zero over the Les Enfants Terribles project.
