I've stated my opinion, that most games are bad, and that I can judge a game's quality without playing it
I've backed that up with the fact that there aren't any aspects of a game that can't be experienced without player control, except for small things like the control layout
And that bad is subjective, so I don't actually have to support that if I don't want to (i did anyway)
so... what's your position, and how do you justify it? I'll be civil if you will, I just want to know.
I also hope I cleared up how i'm not a fanboy, because that was pretty ridiculous tbh
Alright, I'll just say one thing to sate your curiosity. I personally think the video game market is suffering an identity crisis, for more than a few reasons. The problems with video games today (or more so the publishers), is they treat making a game like they do making a movie, and simply pouring money into something doesn't make it good. Also take into account that you have so many people across so many parts of a company making the same thing (like over 100 at times, which is insane if you just think about it), and it somehow gets put together. It's just weird. Then publishers abuse DLC, marketing, cut content, etc. There are intelligent articles out there saying if the trends keep up, the video game market will crash upon its own weight. That's why it's up to us to promote innovative and creative things, and we mostly see that via the indie market. They're not subjected to corporate greed and quotas. The only limit aside from budget, is their own imagination. Because of that, we got things like Minecraft, Terraria, Super Meat Boy, Outlast, Hotline Miami, Day Z mod (the actual game sucks), mods in GENERAL (sorry Verby-kun), and many other games. Sorry if that's not at all related to what you wanted me to say, but we agreed on the video game market being mostly shit. So I expanded on it.
