The Flood / Re: Got a new keyboard
« on: May 10, 2016, 04:09:52 PM »
I purchased some red hair dye about a week ago and I'm probably dyeing sometime this week. Besides that I've purchased ingredients for cooking. I can sympathize having one of those clunky Dell keyboards and I also prefer flat keys.

Nice!

Yeah, even the ibuypower stock keyboard this computer came with didn't have flat keys, and that sucked. Flat is just what I prefer, it makes typing easier.

I'm happy that this has the calculator button and This PC (my computer) button even, along with a button to launch Windows Media Player, and they all work on the fly. Seriously, none of my keyboards have that button. And the volume control buttons which is a very underrated feature, granted I have my speakers for that but I don't use my speakers all the time.
I don't like the feeling of having to press the keys down further, I type loudly enough already. The keyboard I'm using has a sound dial to adjust the volume and a section which activates my itunes library. If it had flat keys and a backlight it would be perfect.

I don't really need a backlight since mine is right in front of my monitor and I can see it fine, but I get ya.

Nice waste of your money.

Sorry I don't have $146 to spend on a mechanical keyboard, which I've learned not to care for after trying one out.

I urge that anybody who supports this uncivilized practice to watch this.

It was really hard to watch how that foreskin got clipped. I cringed so bad that I grabbed my own dick in fear. Like holy shit. Parents should never have the choice for this at all, it should be illegal.

I'm thinking about bringing my girl Nova back but idk

You had this one bald wrestler guy before. I thought that one was cool.
Steve Austin? I remember that coup. That was probably the best one I made.

Yeah, you gotta have that theme back on here man. It would be so badass to see that again. It suits you.

The Flood / Got a new keyboard
« on: May 10, 2016, 03:11:12 PM »

I ordered it 2 days ago and it came just now. Since I donated my old clunky dell one, I decided to get a new keyboard. The keyboard that originally came with this computer sucked, so I don't use it really, and the $50 gaming keyboard with built in red lights was really clunky and big. I found out that I'm actually much more comfortable with flat keys. You'd think my current keyboard before this one would do the job, but no. The white keys get dirty easily and on top of that in lacked features and was $25.

This one that I'm typing on right now, was $15 and so far, its probably the most comfortable keyboard I ever used. I was skeptical on trying something from Amazon Basics thinking it was gonna be 99 cents cheap, but its actually really good so far. Its rather noisy than my last keyboard but I actually like the noise this one makes. What I love more is how simple this one is, in terms of features. Volume control, calculator button, This PC button, Windows Media Player button, etc. My last keyboard didn't have any of that, and I also love how this doesn't use tabs. It has like one bar that's part of the body like the $60 iMac keyboards, and like most keyboards today, its USB and plug in play, no additional software required.

I could have gotten the bundle for $21 which includes this keyboard and the AmazonBasics mouse, but that mouse is optical and my ass spoiled to Microsoft's bluetrack technology, so my mouse will remain a Microsoft mouse. Seriously, bluetrack is the best thing I've ever used for a mouse, you'll never want to go back to an optical once you use it. The feed back its just really amazing.

As for this keyboard, it has great travel, feels really nice when you type. Of course its wired, I'd never buy a keyboard or mouse wireless, especially since I PC game, I don't always use a controller.

You guys got anything new that you wanna share?

7/10
8/10 for Dark Souls, but a bit hard to see.

Mine is just the ODST Firefight one I got back on B.net. The yellow bar filled up based on how many maps you beat or something, and when I more or less stopped playing the game I found out it was pretty much perfectly horizontal and even in my case. I liked the symmetry, so I just used it for a profile picture.

And it was added on a black background in Photoshop courtesy of the Decimator Omega Foundation. <_<

Spoiler
I couldn't resist saying that. :P You know I actually can refine it a bit and clean up the actual transparent image again and improve it quite a bit if you want. I've picked up some new skills in PS ever since last year with Photoshop 2 as my class, so I'm pretty good. I have Photoshop CC 2016 legit until the fall since that's when I'm gonna stop paying for CC.

People talk shit about you and your posts can be a bit cringy sometimes but you're pretty nice. Just need to cool off and chill a little. Don't take the forum so seriously man. When you get stuck into things it's great (like my card game) but don't go overboard!

Alright. I'll try not to.

Fap.

Or distract yourself with a new hobby.

How is jerking off or finding a hobby going to help him do that?

The Flood / Re: I'm beginning to think I might have a depression
« on: May 10, 2016, 12:49:57 PM »
If you've been feeling flat and empty for a while, struggling to find interest in things and are starting to neglect personal care (cooking, cleaning etc) which is all pretty much what's listed in the OP then that's a pretty common signifier of depression.

So I'm glad you've already decided to go and see a psych of some kind, because I think it will be a sensible move to tackle this before it becomes set in and particularly hard to shift.

With regards to the stigma, it very often boils down to people just not understanding the condition. It's hard to know what it feels like if you haven't experienced it before, you can have colourful metaphors aplenty but they only do so much. It's bloody difficult going into a shrink's office for the first time, but they will be there to help you feel comfortable talking and to see what they can do to help you get better.

Psy and reason why you're not an actual Psychologist yet?
5 years of study down, 1 more and I'm a psychologist (although that's the title, in practice I'd be an assistant psychologist).
after that it's 4-5 more years and I'll be a fully fledged clinical psych.

It takes a long time.

Damn. Well as far as this website goes, I certify you as Sep7agon's own Internet Psychologist

Flee is right Verbatim. There aren't any real benefits to circumcision other than not having to clean your dick, which is pretty lazy imo.

And the whole infant thing getting strapped down just to have a piece of his penis removed... I don't know how that can't be traumatic.

Just masturbate.
So I can't actually do that either...still a sin...
I do it, but I've been trying to stop for awhile. I was a sex addict and such. I'm working on breaking the addiction. Been rough though. I went from 3 times a day to once every couple weeks or so.

Ohhhhhhh.

Okay, see this is why I have a problem with religion. You can't masturbate because hurr durr god hates you for it. That really bothers me.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm imposing on your beliefs, but not being allowed to fap at all is fucking dangerous.

Good luck to you. Thank goodness I'm an atheist.

The Flood / Re: You know I've kinda learned something
« on: May 10, 2016, 02:33:39 AM »
Damn. I guess I can try that.
Remember, trying isn't enough. If you want it to have an impact you have to actually do it.

Just know that it takes time to get used to. Don't expect to enter a true state of focused attention the first time you meditate. Or the second time, third , etc. In fact, what you should do is not worry about it at all. Just focus.

Thoughts and emotions will arise, just let them. They will pass, and then some others will arise. Just let them as well. Eventually the 'noise' will dissipate. Don't worry about when, just know the truth that it will so long as you remain focused and keep practicing.

Thanks for the tip man. I appreciate it.

The Flood / Re: You know I've kinda learned something
« on: May 10, 2016, 02:10:01 AM »

I don't, but at the same time I don't want to be this overemotional wreck.
Like I've said. Repetition.

No one masters anything with a single thought or a single experience. You have to repeat the thought, the experience, again and again.

Have you ever considered meditation? I mean true meditation, as in, clearing the mind of all thought and emotion and achieving true focused attention.

Not really because its too damn noisy here where I live. I'd have to go up north to the mountains and hills to basically hike to escape from any noise.
Noise just makes for more vigorous practice. When you meditate effectively the noise is meaningless because it never enters your attention (unless it is the noise that you are focused on). In fact, some noise can help augment the experience, as it can be something to focus on rather than thoughts and emotions.

I remember hearing a story, in a book by Chuck Norris actually, about a monk that would meditate to the Bee Gees because it made the practice more effective, and it showed just how much he had mastered it.

Damn. I guess I can try that.
