The only thing that would make all this even more crazy is if someone in that same year wrote out exactly what's going to happen to Bungie.old to forwarn us. That would me someone has discovered a time machine or has created one. Spoiler I really wish time machines were real. :/ 21693

If you're looking for something new to listen to or something to listen to while you chill or study, then check this internet radio station out.
http://somafm.com/groovesalad/ They're listener supported, so there are no ads. I mainly listen to this when I've got work to do or when I feel like chilling. Let me know what you think in this thread if you've given Soma FM a chance. 21703

The Flood / Re: TrussingDoor, I have something to say to you« on: September 14, 2014, 10:29:16 PM »I'm 17 now (18 in a month), meaning by the time I graduate college it'll be extremely unlikely that people would have developed the technology for employers to check everything anyone has done over the internet. I have a minimal footprint on Facebook and it's nothing I'm worried about. I also doubt they'd be that unforgiving to people who acted like idiots on the internet when they were kids. But yeah, I don't think I want to put any more time or effort onto an internet forum that I'm already doing or already have done.My internet reputation isn't something I care about. Even on B.net, I've already came out about making shit loads of alts and I've even released the names of those alts (my time of doing that is done, I've realized how much time I've wasted with that). And that made everyone look down on me. How am I going to survive in the real world? Yeah well I've thought about that. First of all it doesn't matter how successful you are if you end up miserable with no family or friends. If I go on an internet forum, Sep7agon or Bungie, and I have too few people to keep me preoccupied, it's an incentive to talk to people IRL, spend time with friends, and work to make new friends. It's a completely untested, random theory, but if I have friends then it's comforting to know how unlikely it is I would ever fallback to the internet for a social life. Because I've been there before in life and it's just miserable. Then instead of posting here, you should write your paper instead. 21705
The Flood / Re: I had to put one of my dogs down this morning« on: September 14, 2014, 10:26:56 PM »I have two labs, the older of the two has had some health problems over the last year, and they finally caught up with her last night. We took her to the emergency vet and they said it's best if we put her down, since there wasn't really anything they could do. I had my cat put down last year. He was 10. Poor guy was suffering and wasn't himself anymore since he was obese for most of his life and even though he lost weight, he had arthritis and diabetes. One day he just started randomly pissing everywhere and didn't eat so much anymore and just stopped caring. He was looking for places to hide too from my understanding so he could pass out and pass away, but he had trouble passing. His mind was already going, he wasn't him anymore. So we had to take him to an emergency place for animals and euthanize him. I had his body cremated but I choose not to keep the ashes and let them go elsewhere. It may have been his ashes, but it wasn't him anymore. The cat that I grew up with for 10 years of my life was gone, and on the day he died, it was really hard not having him at home. The whole place was empty, and I would expect him to pop up from somewhere, but no. It took me months for everyone to finally get used to him not here anymore, but I still miss him and sometimes I dream about him. So I can understand what you're going through. Believe me it's one of the hardest things to lose a member of your family, even if it's a dog or cat, they're still family. I lost 3 family members last year alone. My grandfather, my aunt, and my cat. I'm sorry for your loss. You have my condolences. 21706

Because I've been there before in life and it's just miserable. You should care about your rep overall. I know this is the internet but it's good practice to have a good rep regardless, because if you're not careful, it can backfire if you ever end up doing anything professional later on. It's not too late to change. If you refuse to be a better person and choose to remain a Le Dusticle, that's on you. Not on us. No one here is mad. The only people that are mad are pretty much you and me, but you seem to be even more mad than me, that's also on you. Also if you don't like anyone here, why not leave? The door's right over there. No one's stopping you. 21707
The Flood / Re: TrussingDoor, I have something to say to you« on: September 14, 2014, 10:05:47 PM »I'm not sure why people were mad at you for it.Holy shit, people are still salty about the whole Viltre situation? Because I was trying to save the dark theme when Viltre no longer wanted to support it. I figured I get a bunch of thank yous and awesomes as responses, but it completely backfired in my thread. It was all open source code which means I can take it and change it, not to mention it wasn't fully Viltre's to begin with as well. It was going to be a dark pirate theme and would have looked really nice too if I kept going with development, but after receiving so much hate and even death threats in PM's, I gave up on it and abandoned the theme altogether. Btw, copying the theme does not equal stealing. I credited all the creators, including Viltre. If I copied the theme unmodified, credited no one, and sold it for money, then people would have had the right to tell me to go fuck myself and whatnot. No wonder why no likes you here. You keep insulting people! How the hell do you expect to survive in this world? And you're saying I'm universally disliked? What about you Le Dustin? Sure some people are unruly, but it makes the place more interesting. But really, as long as you don't overstep your bounds as a mod you won't lose your pretty orange bar even if people bitch and moan. You'll bring law and order to the lands, eh?Yeaaaah...that never affected anything. Just look at Kiyo. Everyone used to hate the fact that she got a mod position and regularly complained about it, but here we are now. Long as you don't abuse your powers you have nothing to worry about.Your first act? That and your trust rating. Also, I don't give 2 fucks about being a mod on Bungie anymore like I used to back in 09. It wouldn't make a difference now. 21716

It's not like Bungie.net where they have an exclusive private group called HFCS where they possibly talk behind your back and you wreck your chances of becoming a mod when trying to join, and since they never cleared the queue, I put myself on the no mod list on Bungie.old before I released that this is the list of people not to appoint to as a mod. Pretty stupid huh? I'm just glad this site doesn't have an HFCS. 21720

Everyone used to hate the fact that she got a mod position and regularly complained about it, but here we are now. Long as you don't abuse your powers you have nothing to worry about.Your first act? Pretty much. That's what I did in the one private group that I pretty much ended up growing up with known as RA, I was a moderator there, that is until I became a temporary Admin after the launch of Bungie.next and became a discriminative "dicktator" kicking out new members that were trashing the place, but then receiving shit from the older classy members for doing so telling me to bring them back in the group. After I got banned from Bungie since March of this year, RA was dying out, and I didn't see a point in staying anymore. Everyone just changed. Even one of the best groups I've ever been in for nearly 4 years went down the drain, mainly due to Bungie's site updates, but also due to my own actions. So as long as I don't become Admin here, I think I'll be fine. |
