As I say, every Halo fan reaches a tipping point where one of the games changes too much of what they liked. They can either abandon the franchise and be scornful of every new game or accept the changes and move on.
Reach was my tipping point, and I thankfully moved on.
Reach is what really messed it up for me though.

He used to be one of my favorite internet people, he's still good but has gone downhill a bit.
Who Doug Walker? Well it's not easy doing the same thing for so many years. He even quit being NC at one point. When demo reel wasn't as successful, he decided to bring it back. He really is a fortunate fellow. Just doing what he does gets the bills paid.

I'm just not satisfied with the way the Xbone turned out, that's why I refuse to get it. I only mock the trope of people saying how much better their shit is on this platform because really, I don't care if the game has a lower framerate and lacks graphics, I just wanna play it really regardless of platform and I believe people really overblow on that, especially PC and Console fanboys. A game running 60fps with super awesome graphics is what shouldn't count as the fun factor. The game itself should be fun regardless of FPS or textures, because if the game isn't fun, you're throwing your money away.
Ill agree with that ow. I don't think any particular console is best as they all have strength and weaknesses. I just choose based on the franchises and friends, most of mine are on X1 and th only exclusive franchise on any platform I care for is Halo. Everything else I play is multiplat :3

Yeah. Please don't let me discourage you to try PC one day. Steam is actually really cool and I can use more friends on that platform because I'm going to stop paying for Live soon. January 8th of next year is when my membership is expiring.
When I get a job and my own house, I'll be definitely getting a desktop. I have 100%ed fallout 3, Vegas and Skyrim and want to get mods.
Cool. Yeah mods are always fun. Most are at least. If only modding on console was actually easier and legal to do.

I don't mind the forerunners coming back, but good grief at least get some of your other shit right. One pet peeve of mine is that according to chief, they thought they had truce with the "covenant."
You mean the Elites Chief? Because the covenant never had a truce with you, they wanted you dead!
Part of this issue boils down to Bungie refusing to make their story and gameplay interesting at the cost of confusing newcomers.
The "Elites" in Halo 3 are officially called the Covenant Separatists. Why? Because they still have other client races serving with them. Bungie neglected to show them because they didn't want to confuse players. (It's why the Elite Phantoms are Green in Halo 3.)
So yes, while the truce was made with the Elites,it extended to the client races still in their control, hence "Covenant".

It's official canon, though. Chief is reasonable in assuming there was a truce with the Covenant, as they teamed up and worked together and there actually IS a treaty. It was obvious though that the line was intended for first time Halo players. As to why they would not start from the beginning, I have no idea, but it was most likely necessary.

Blu-rays actually do look rather shitty in terms of framerate. I don't know about you but I'd hate to see my movies have a throttled framerate.
And for the record, the PC versions of Halo 1 and 2 are better than the original console versions.
Not to mention Halo 2 on the PC has achievements as well. Why do that shit all over again on the MCC?

Also... on a slightly unrelated note... 343 forgot to add an important line of code in their campaign that made it really easy to beat campaign on Legendary. Bungie got it right because this line of code exists in Halo 3, ODST, and Reach but 343 failed to write it down.
And what exactly does that line of code do?
Eh I might as well as tell you since I already Cheat the game on Legendary. The line of code is suppose to prevent the level from counting as "completed" when starting at Rally point Bravo, Charlie, or Delta, making sure that you can only do it from the Alpha. 343 forgot to include this in their game so you can just go all the way to the last rally, play the mission from there on Legendary and it will count as beating the entire level on Legendary. Do this on all 8 missions and the achievement will unlock and you'll get your Mark VI armor. You'll even get 2 achievements instead of one if you do it solo. I got 3 achievements because I never beat the game on Heroic. It counts as a legitimate way because 343 nor MS can prove that you jumped ahead of the mission or not, so they cannot reset you for it. I'm sure this cannot be patched because people could just do it offline, that or 343 doesn't care to patch it.
