Help me Flee, I scared of these new, revolutionary concepts.
Me too, my friend. Visiting the US was a traumatizing experience.
In all seriousness though, I've had people ask me if I knew what fireworks were and if we "already had them" in Europe. Or whether "Belgium" was in Montana or another state (after careful consideration, she decided it couldn't have been in Montana because she knew here own state pretty well). Or if we have holidays and weekends in Europe. Or whether I had ever seen an automatic bowling alley before.
The American ignorance thing is a petty joke and stupid stereotype, but all of the time I've spent in the US generally has only supported these stereotypes.
Can't judge all of America by visiting one state. Want a different experience next time? Come to Glendale, California for one hell of a wake up.
Home of System of a down and of course, me along with a majority of Armenians. Watch out for bad drivers though.
To be fair, at this point I've been to Montana, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming, Virginia and Colarado. Not even close to all of the US, of course, but definitely more than just a single state.
Well you got California left to add on your list of states to visit. It's where I currently am and most likely will be for a very long time.

There are times where I just wish you were born in the states like me, because your ego is showing again.
I get it. America is the laughing stock of Belgium. Must you keep making fun of us?
We're just making some mutual jokes Deci. Challenger, Byrne and myself. No ill will.whatsoever.
Well it's beginning to cross a line.

Yeah, stereotypes all come from somewhere.
This one woman at my sister's workplace who's from Texas actually thought that Texas was the largest country in the world. I went Awall once I heard that someone said that. Fucking idiots ruin everything!

This thread went wayyyyy off topic.
what was it supposed to be about?
Which one of us is the Monster.
Not many Twilight Zone fans here.
Also did you get the PM I sent you?
In a minute, I'm trying to figure some stuff out on the phone with my bank.
Didn't get your paycheck? That's what I feel like happened to me, even though according to my records I did, but it doesn't show up on my checking.
Hahaha, no I'm job hunting. Spending government money right now.
Fuck my life.

I do want to visit Sweden once. If anything, I'll be able to make the comparison US - Sweden myself.
*pays Flee $100USD to say that America is better than Sweden*
Send it to me cash and I'll see what I can do.
Cash? Don't you people use Paypal?
They don't have banks in Belgium, actually.
Banks are just such a marvel of American excellence that we, poor Europeans, can't even begin to comprehend that.

I hate deviantART. I quit it years ago. Recently noticed their more recent updates too, and it's goddamn terrible.
I only kept my account for the hot women.
psh.
What? I love women. Especially the ones in the Artistic Nude section...
Good for you >_>
Okay then.

Christmas just becomes a bit pointless once you get older. It kind of is a commercial holiday.
It is just consumerism being thrown at your face. It can be good, but most people lose the whole "spend time with friends and family" part and focus on the giving and getting.
Yeah. To me it's more of that closeness with friends and family, and the traditions and whatnot. shit...
I'm realizing now that I'm getting none of that this year...
I just ask for $50 bucks and I'm good.
I don't care about the gifts. I've hardly gotten anything for the past two years anyway. Last Christmas was my first time without my family, but I still had my friends...and the family of my now ex. I won't be able to spend the holidays with any of the people I care about this year because they threw me out.
That's rough.
At least you could celebrate the new year with me though. Drinks are on me.
I may be over 21 but I'm not a fan of alcohol.
I'm not really much of a drinker myself, I just drink Hard Cider or Champagne if I'm celebrating something.

It is a commercial holiday. People kill each other over deals. It's pathetic.
