Once agian, I disagree. I think the previous games had something more that 343's is missing. I mean I know this isn't tied to the Cheif's story, but look at ODST. That was written well. While however, I think New Blood is the fucking worst.

Hey, Halo 4 was pretty mediocre when compared to the other Halos but its story was better written for the most part. Halo 2 comes close but it was incomplete which is sad.
I still say for me, there are only 3 stories in the Halo universe that define Halo. Halo Combat Evolved, Halo The Fall of Reach, and Halo First Strike.

There's someone as strong, as fast and as dangerous as the Master Chief himself going after him with orders given by ONI To be fair, Chief is actually a pretty average skilled Spartan. There's already others that are faster, stronger etc etc than him.
Still, the Chief is like one of a handful of Spartan-IIs left and seen as the best of them...because he stopped galactic genocide...twice. Locke is a Spartan, a more advanced Spartan, and seeing him going against the Chief seems pretty interesting.
If you ask me, even in the books, I find it beyond ridiculous how he always lives every situation. His luck just never runs out, it's fucking insane. And as for the current story, what is Chief the villain now? In the past, Chief wanted to save many people as he can, that was his mission, even in Fall of Reach. He was always pushing himself to save his team and get them out alive, this was before he was paired with Cortana as well. Now after losing Cortana he decides to go rouge and will kill the very organization that trained him and has been on his side for years? If that's the case let's bring the alternate cannon to light where Chief kills Captain Keys real early in the game causing Cortana to rat on you by getting invincible marines to pretty much kick your ass dead.

Sounds like you don't know anything about making a character feel real. Bungie added shit, Halo 3 while my favorite Halo had a pretty simple story. Halo 2 was fantastic, it introduced a lot of shit. Halo 1 was simple, like bare bones simple but good regardless. Halo 4 had an amazing story that ACKNOWLEDGED the canon beyond the games rather than just ignore it like Bungie did.
I see nothing wrong with the Chief talking, what's wrong with him actually interacting verbally with others when he needs to? The only person he constantly talks to is Cortana, he only speaks to others when he needs like superior officers and the like. Cortana clingy? She was going insane and then going to die. Cortana had emotions too, so my guess is that she didn't want to die and leave the only being she cares about. Sounds pretty good to me since it too gave Chief some freaking character, a PERSONAL goal.
And all of this being hunted and stuff? Its interesting. There's someone as strong, as fast and as dangerous as the Master Chief himself going after him with orders given by ONI, all behind the UNSC's back MEANWHILE there's an alien civil war occurring and the Arbiter is going out of his way to aid Locke to HUNT his former friend, Its not that black and white anymore, there is deeper shit going on. Deeper shit that the Forerunners basically created 100,000 years prior. Its not about big green guy shoots aliens on a giant ringworld anymore, the story is evolving for the better. Something Bungie never had the spine to do because they denied the larger canon every single time.
Nothing wrong with the Chief talking. I just don't like the direction the story itself is headed. Oh and the art assets don't look right.

I had to go to the Dr.'s last year for some heart problems, had tests and all that. Turns out my BPM is pretty low considering my circulation overall is absolutely crap, and I've got a future of potential heart problems to contend with.*

I had to go to the Dr.'s last year for some heart problems, had tests and all that. Turns out my BPM is pretty low considering my circulation overall is absolutely crap, and I've got a future of potential heart problems to contend with.*
