I can't because genuine capitalism has never occurred
Okay, broadly capitalist.

I think we can safely define a fair few nations as sufficiently capitalist to warrant judgement; otherwise what the fuck is your criticism even based on?

So, go ahead. Broadly or typically capitalist countries that have had significant socio-economic problems because of capitalism?

alright, here is a chart of corruption for 2010

almost all of the countries in red have had capitalist platforms introduced or are poor.

and the socialist countries like france and canada are less corrupt than the capitalist ones

most of the capitalist countries are the embodiment of corruption.
I'm not going to take you seriously if you insist upon making broad and unsubstantiated claims like that.

So I'll put forward my challenge again: name me one instance of genuine corruption resulting from a genuinely capitalist economy that has caused a society-wide downturn.

I can't because genuine capitalism has never occurred

if you think outside what the media feeds you, it would make sense for the us to create this force of evil

everyone is equal to one another
Obviously false.

why?
Because some people are inferior to others.

Not because of race or anything trivial like that. But some people are simply superior to others, and others are inferior.

by saying that your just blanketing over different skills. noone is superior to someone in every way. everyone has their weaknesses and strengths

it balances out
True, but some people are better than others even in certain skills.

Not all people are equal. We should all have equal rights, but we're not all equal.

equal under what sense though??

not really islamists are a product of their location more than anything else. people who practice actual islam in other parts of the world aren't terrorists

and once again, they don't have to die, they could just as easily be incarcerated or rehabilitated
Um, excuse me? First of all I said Islamists, not terrorists. Second of all, to think fundamentalist Islam doesn't exist outside of the Middle East is shockingly ignorant.

When you find a way to gaol or rehabilitate all of the militants and Islamists, come find me.

alright no need to call my opinion ignorant, i'm just saying the environment plays a bigger role than islam

well, no.. the thing is capitalism is dangerous in the fact that it can sustain itself for roughly 200 years before turning ugly. it builds infrastructure but also sets the bomb to destroy it
All you're doing is spouting cryptic nonsense that doesn't challenge what I'm saying or even make much sense.

What does sustain itself for 200 years before "turning ugly" even mean?

it means that capitalism encourages corruption. and its basically humanely impossible to have pure capitalism due to human nature itself.

the system should just be scrapped if its not realistic
Except it doesn't because, as I already said, most of the most capitalist countries on the planet are largely free of corruption. I bet you can't even name on instance of genuine corruption that has plunged a capitalist economy into decay.

So the system which has given 1pc of human history 99pc of its wealth is unrealistic, whereas your ideal of a classless society is realistic? Give me a break.

what? most of the capitalist countries are the embodiment of corruption. its gotten to the point where social values are effected. the fact that one percent of the population hold 99 percent of the wealth is corruption in itself. its not different from a monarchy. which is a step back in my opinion

Disturbed has to be trolling, right?
Pretty sure this thread attracted the attention of the government and they made a couple of accounts to disuade us from becoming socialists.

lol, i obviously don't approve of the current gov

why do you have to kill them though, its the fact that those individuals are a product of their environment/government and not the religion or race that they would be taking up the mantle of a false Islamist or mugger.

we should focus on fixing society itself before killing anyone
Islamists are obviously a product of their religion--to think otherwise is to be ignorant or dishonest.

We can't fix things in the long term with people like that running around in the short term; it might be an ugly idea,  but sometimes some people just have to die.

create a classless society.
That's not even possible,  let alone desirable.

yes it is. just because noone has tried it yet doesn't mean the idea shouldn't be scrapped

we shouldn't kill other people..
We obviously should if it produces quite a clear and necessary benefit. Like defending yourself from a mugger or killing militant Islamists.

why do you have to kill them though, its the fact that those individuals are a product of their environment/government and not the religion or race that they would be taking up the mantle of a false Islamist or mugger.

In the mean time, people will still be killed. You can't just flip a switch.

you can start somewhere though right?

everyone is equal to one another
Obviously false.
why?
Because people aren't equal.

Moreover, individuals who aren't so well-off aren't in any way entitled to the wealth or labour of those better of than them insofar as it goes beyond sustaining the necessities.

but it's the person not well off shouldn't be the one to blame for his/her current situation. its not a matter of entitlement, but leveling the playing field to create a classless society.

most people are, capitalism encourages corruption and destroys nations. it's practically a fact if you look at history
Is that why capitalist countries are usually the least corrupt and the wealthiest?

I still don't know why anyone needs a gun......
To kill another person. Pretty fucking self explanatory if you ask me.

we shouldn't kill other people..
I disagree. If I had my way, I'd absolutely kill you for your stupid opinion.

why is my opinion stupid? killing only reinforces the notion that we are just as barbaric as we were since the dawn of time. I'd like our species to transcend past those things
Born a few centuries too early for that my friend. We're going to keep killing each other.

And I'd like a gun to defend myself from people who would do me harm.

I don't get it though, why not just make those things outlawed so you wouldn't need to feel threatened?

I still don't know why you need an account here. . .

Or a computer for that matter. So let's just take them away.

You see why this is a stupid way of thinking right?

a computer and a gun are two very different things.

remember different functions = different needs

this whole system was built to create poor people, if we just redistributed the wealth of the rich, noone would be getting monitored as their standard of living would make them content with the usa
Capitalism was created to keep peopls poor? That's news to me.  People are discontented with the U.S. government because of their standard of living? They must be very ignorant and self-entitled then.

look, prices rise, market falls, the economy, the government they're all on the same side. Politicians speak the same garbage to try and win us over. it's all a game and were just there to observe the wrekage.

everyone deserves a standard of living as everyone is equal to one another, once those with wealth can realize this, then we will prosper.
