It's like Battlefield 1 somehow having random black dudes in the German army with white dudes. Didn't happen.
BUT, you can argue multiplayer doesn't exactly have to follow the history bit to a tee like that of the single player of those games does. Because in BF1 single player when you're the black dude you're in a colored unit, so that was accurate.
It would have been better had they given players the option for customisation, rather than just setting default races for classes per faction. Instead of seeing a bit of variety, you end up with the most popular classes filling the battlefield, and you end up with the ve voss kaisers und scheiße legion filling the game.

It really depends on how the next few games go tbh, if I climb quickly to a little closer to where I ought to be - bueno. If it's just a right meme, it'll probably take a long time to get there.
EDIT: I just checked and I'd only need to get it up by 200 or so to be able to queue with you, if what I read about SR is right then that shouldn't be hard.

Yeah, but what happens if we queue together with a difference of a 1000? Will you end up with diamonds and masters who have lost rank, or will I end up with low golds? Because if it's the latter, it'll be very high risk and low reward for me. If I win against 2200's, I'll barely go up at all. But if I lose, it'll cost me heaps if SR.
I'm not sure tbh, I think it would average it out somewhat. I haven't done it in a long time (Mixed golds and diamonds) but usually it just goes with high plat/diamond. It's hard to say though. If you fancy giving it a shot when I've gained a bit, we can see what happens but no worries if you'd rather wait until I've got myself up to what I should be at.

The placement matches system is so trash. 3 out of my 10 had leavers on my team, 2 a thower / griefer who put teleporters near the edge as symmetra or just did dances in the middle of the map. I got 5 golds as Road for the first time in Competitive for my last game, which we still lost, and now my starting rank is 2800. Pretty damn discouraging when you consistently play at 3500+.

It's quite interesting, because this theory was kicking around a few years ago. From what I vaguely remember scientists couldn't quite figure out the presence/absence of a haplogroup in Africans and Europeans. Loosely along the lines of it wouldn't be possible for europeans to have evolved from Africa because there were certain genetic markers that were absent.
I wish I'd bookmarked the study now, but someone on here (Trojanlord maybe) linked it like 2 years ago.

You know, if I ever were to die for any reason, I think its best that none of you here know, or if someone here does find out, they don't tell any of you, because of shit like this. The lack of respect this place has only seems to be getting worse and worse.
For a long time this place has been toxic by nature when you have others telling you to kill yourself, I thought I could change the nature of the community, instead I not only became the butt of a joke but I found myself becoming more and more toxic the more I picked up everyone elses habits. I started saying Sep7agon phrases elsewhere online and it really backfired.
A year or so ago I'd have probably snapped at this post.
Today it just makes me tired.
The amount of respect and decency shown towards Sandtrap's passing here has been without fault. Nobody used it as an excuse for quibbling or soapboxing. Nobody.
