Fallout 3 was good, Skyrim still sets a benchmark for modern games, and Fallout 4 looks to be packed with an obscene amount of content. Instead they've walked in and said 'on your bike' to this latest proposal instead of just sitting idly by. Even if you aren't keen on the concept of the house of lords, the function it serves should still be reasonably similar to something like the senate. I'm not sure why a room stacked full of businessmen-peers shouldn't be able to question/delay controversial tax reforms. If they were simply stonewalling anything and everything that was sent their way, then I could understand this desire for reform but it just strikes me as the cabinet having a hissy fit because their plans were delayed until a review of the financial impact of these cuts could be determined. As opposed to rushing them through and then picking up the pieces afterwards. So anyhoo, this is probably beyond most of the yanks so hello meta, what do you make of the HoL?

So in light of recent events in which both times I've tried to clean up a discussion without just resorting to the hammers and neither of which has been remotely successful there is going to be a bit of a change in the serious board. Think of it as more of a back to basics because we've been pretty lax when it comes to serious lately, well most of us have and some of us haven't which has made consistency a problem. So I'm going to make it simple for this board for the next while, keep your flaming and personal attacks in the flood. If there is a post in here calling someone else a dumbass, moron, dipshit, dense, retard, spaz, mong, fucking anything, cunt, wanker etc then the person using that term is going to get a one day serious blacklist ban right off the bat. The next one will be two days and so on and so forth. If you wish to refer to someone with a perjorative term, tough shit. Call them 'Friend  ' instead. I'll be editing any of the offending words out to include 'Friend ' in addition to any bans handed out. If you see it, report it and it'll be ganked. In the report reason please link to this thread or refer to it in some way, when the report is pertaining to a post in serious. I'm gonna leave this open for discussion as well, so feedback is appreciated. I'll make the grace period 24 hours as of 17/10/15 22:00 GMT. After that, you better be on good behaviour. For those who don't, it was basically a nice short and concise thread in which I clearly and precisely explained the dream that I had had recently. And it totally wasn't my trademarked rambling half-coherent blood splattered mess. So here is 2.0 e.e +++How to play+++ Step 1 - Pick the most bloody, gory, horrific nightmare/dream you had recently and post it e.e Step 2 - There is no step 2. Step 3 - Don't post boring ones where there is no carnage, if you never have interesting dreams then I recommend taking a handful of random medication shortly before bed and seeing what happens. +++Let's begin e.e+++ Last Night A little while ago (15 years ish actually) I used to have a lot of nightmares from Gollum. Seems kinda silly now but he creeped five year old me the fuck out. It ended when I cracked him over my knee and chucked him off a bridge in a dream and that way that.
But for some reason, he came back last night.
And oh boy did the little bastard get what he deserved e.e
It was a relatively shortlived dream, but I woke up grinning from ear to ear.
He was swimming across the water's edge near the sea towards me for some reason and I grappled the little swine out of the water and he shrieked and fled under a pier.
Out comes this lovely little kitchen knife we have at home, I recognised it by the shape of the blade/weight of the handle and all that. Dunno where it came from but hey. It was time for some fun. e.e
So he's hiding behind this rock underneath the pier and going from side to side trying to benny hill up in this shit. That's not how it works and courtesy of dream physics my arm extended a bit further than it should have done and caught him right under the jawline in the throat with the knife.
Oh the screaming ;x;
Well, gurgling shrieks of panic.
I then dragged him across the shingle beach using the knife in his throat and he flailed around a bit bleeding all over the place and eventually stopped moving. Then to make sure I finished the job because apparently a broken spine and a fall off khazad-dum doesn't finish people off, I sliced his head off nice and properly so that it wouldn't be coming back ever again.
Overall it was a 10/10 dream, I haven't woken up feeling that refreshed and satisfied in a long bloody time. Post yours to join the e.e

At some point in the near future, I think I'm probably going to have to upgrade from a phone that crashes when opening texts with more than 100 words (Runs out of deditated wam) to something slightly more useful.
Since I imagine some of you will have phones that do more than lag when typing in the phone number you want to ring, you might have any suggestions/phones to shill for.
Specs wise, I have no fuggin clue. Size, no feckin clue. Price no foken cloo.
Android obviously, but as for anything beyond that I really have no idea.
So um, what phones do you have/know of that are good.
Since my introduction to smart phones has been uh... not exactly enamouring, something reasonably powerful(?) would be a good bet rather than something to save money on.

I know yanks had this thread a little while back, but since the euros are all off to university nowish I thought I'd make one now <.<
I've had all my textbooks arrive in the last couple of weeks and gone over the year ahead on the website and it's looking 10/10 for me.
I haven't seen any irrelevant, boring or inane bollocks which is very good. It's basically Mental Healthcare from start to finish. The only bit I'm not looking forwards to is the psychodynamic bollocks which of course falls under the counselling module but hey ho. Should be an enjoyable year all the same.
What about you folks?

I don't mean like brown to blue sort of change but where eyes that are Green/Gray/Blue/Indistinct and they shift between colours depending on your environment/ambient light/clothes that you are wearing.
If I wear a black/dark blue jumper, my eyes will appear green. If I wear a cream one, like now, I looked in the mirror and my eyes were bordering on white/very light Gray.
I used to be a little annoyed that my eyes stopped being blue, but I quite like how they change colour nowadays.
Anyone have this/know what it is?

For those of us who play RTS games, which are fairly broad in scope so not every tactic works for every game - what is your preferred style?
If it's a general one, you don't need to post the game but for certain ones where a strategy only really works for a certain game it's helpful to elaborate.
So for total war games, I found that the style that suits my redcoats the best is to make a hill that is absolutely plastered in riflemen covering every approach. A skirmish screen to take out anything with range and some culverins on the top to counter enemy artillery <.<
Then just sit and wait for the enemy to come to you, rip them to shreds and win e.e
For dawn of war though, I'd turtle quite heavily until the endgame when I just go for their HQ in one ridiculously overwhelming strike. Spehss Mehren orbital insertion spam with the right timing lets you rain dreadnoughts, marines and terminators into their base in the space of about 1 second.
It's kind of hard to counter that too, because of the sheer amount of killing that gets done in the first few seconds of deployment.
I'm also a big fan of artillery creeping in general, just slowly walking a barrage across a map until the enemy is utterly destroyed e.e
I'm not in anyway a fan of rushing though, it ruins the fun imo.
