Because people still buy their games.

Also because it doesn't matter to anyone who isn't preoccupied caring about trifle.

When you're out traveling around and happen to come across ore veins, equip your pickaxe and swing at the veins so you don't have to sit through the animation. If you dual wield pickaxes and do this, you'll get double the ore.
Holy shit, really?
Ye.

The Flood / Gender equal snow ploughing
« on: November 17, 2016, 04:53:59 AM »
Sweden's Green Party is bonkers.

Quote
Politicians blame a new “gender equal” snow plowing policy for the Swedish capital of Stockholm’s failure to clear roads during the season’s first snow fall.

Stockholm’s center-left government introduced a new “gender equal” approach to clearing the roads of snow last year. The policy states that sidewalks, public transport and bicycle lanes should be cleared before turning attention to the roads. The reason is that women are more likely to use sidewalks while men are overrepresented among commuters driving to work.

When the first major snow storm swept the capital last week, traffic went into a standstill as no one cleared the streets. People couldn’t get to work, schools had to close and commuters were stuck in traffic for hours without moving.

“Some parts haven’t been touched at all, and it’s equally bad for everyone,” conservative opposition member Cecilia Brinck told public broadcaster SVT.

Daniel Helldén, the city’s Green Party head of transportation, said the policy had nothing to do with the chaos. He instead suggests that there was a lack of gender equality in the snow clearing effort. [fucking what, mate]

“There is a lack of gender equal snow-clearing now, according to the reports I’m getting,” he said. “It’s still difficult to walk on the pavements — and it is important that snow-clearing prioritizes walkways, public transport and cycle paths.”

I still have the vain hope that this is just a well executed hoax, but it doesn't seem like it.

Gaming / Re: Dishonored 2, who's played it?
« on: November 16, 2016, 11:28:12 AM »
It's great and I think it's better than the first. The ending segment(final fight) is bit disappointing though.
The way Dishonored plays I suppose it's rather difficult to create a good bossfight especially if it's designed to be solvable with stealth like it was in the first game.

It's literally Skyrim with slightly higher brighness settings and the DLC included.

If you didn't find any reason to play the game during the four years after you got every achievement and don't bother about the DLC you have no reason to rebuy the same game.

Is this a blind playthrough? Considering it's been out for quite some time you may have been spoilt about some things already.
Yes it is
Alright, have fun with it. Judging by first playthoughs I had the most fun with DaS3, so I hope you can savour it as well. Where are you currently?

I forgot to ask if you're going solo (best way to play no bias) or also summon others. If you've got questions I'll be happy to answer them.

Or we could literally divide the whole fucking country in half. Let Trump be the president of west and Clinton be president of the east.

Or we could go to war.

Or you calm down and accept that Trump is President for (at least) the next 4 years.
No, that isn't something a rational person would do.

Allow me to relay a question challenger asked Korra in Serious:

So if you get raped then become pregnant and you're unable to get an abortion because of Trump, what will you do?

Pray to the great Lord Cthulhu. May he kill and destroy us all.

im asking if Korra answered it when she was asked in another thread.

Unless she did, this just seems like a way to shift it to another person.
My bad, sorry.

Serious / Re: Are transwomen a type of man?
« on: November 05, 2016, 08:43:46 AM »
Specifically it was regarding the casting of cis men in roles of transwomen in film.
This is something only the creators of the movie have to decide and not someone else. If it's somehow important to them that there's a transwoman starring then it is. But the content and the message of the movie will still remain the same if a man plays the role of a transgender woman in a respectable manner and it would be irrational to get upset about the casting.

Otherwise people would get upset about Angelina Jolie's role as Mariane Pearl in 'A Mighty Heart' as well as the roles of many other actors.

I'm gonna be honest, even if an individual was able to switch their chromosomes I still wouldn't be fully ok with it.
Interested in your reasoning for that.

Going by the assumption that the decision was made with thought and preparation (including talking with family members, friends etc.), what would be your concern regarding a sex change (or in this case chrosome change, which is even more thorough than a conventional sex change)?
