Would anyone here be interested in something like this:
?

Maybe pushed back till the second half of the year but I think it would be a nice little sendoff.
Requirements:
Xbox 360 versions of Halo 3 MP, Halo Reach, Halo 4.
All MP DLC for the games above. (It is now free on Xbox Live)
XBL Gold.
Xbox 360 or Xbox One/S/X or Series X/S
I'm down, would we be able to get some customs in there too? Been curious to see how 5 Levels of Terror ends with a populated lobby for nearly a decade lol.

Added Indy Racing 2000 and NHL Breakaway 99 today. Here's a chart of all the sports/racing games I still need:

Spoiler

Games highlighted in green are "expensive" games that go for $40 or more loose. If I were to just buy all of these at once, I would have 84% of the library—the sad part being that there's only 4 or 5 here that I could actually see myself enjoying.

Still no sign of Banjo-Tooie, and I've been to at least three new retro game shops that I've never been to before lately.
Road rash 64 and San Francisco Rush 2049 are banger games. I'd actually like to hear your thoughts on the former if you get to play it, the gameplay and combat is so stupid and funny it never fails to make me laugh. NTSC in particular has some jank shenanigans with AI racers clipping through the ground and getting sent into the stratosphere that made me cackle with tears of laughter as a kid.

i just don't know why you would do this, unless you suffer from "PC master race" brainrot to such a degree that the mere thought of playing a game on its intended console makes you want to vomit, or something

best justification i can think of would be a speedrunner who wants to use emulator tools for the sake of practice
Nah my main reason for emulating certain games would be to netplay older titles that don't have an online feature/no longer have a supported online. It's a pretty niche reason and only really applies to Melee netplay for me where netplay allows access to long distance friendlies that are otherwise hard to access. Also my SNES has a hard time starting up certain games, and it's kind of a pain in the ass trying to remove, clean and reset Yoshi's Island 50+ times before it finally boots up properly lol.

Outside those reasons and cases where people might want to stream their games but don't have a capture card, I mostly prefer to play through the original console.

I'm pretty sure you can make a rom from a copy you already own, and as long as you don't distribute said rom to others, acquire the rom from illegal distribution or sell your physical copy there's no law to prevent you from playing it via emulator. Regardless of whether you purchased it directly from the developer or second-hand.

Also fuck supporting Nintendo directly all my homies buy second-hand.

i still have a different perspective, though, and i think my way of thinking tends to lead to more fulfilling gameplay experiences—my vanilla skyrim may not be as fun to play as your ultra-modified version of it, but for me, part of a game's fun factor is having the opportunity to experience, discuss, and criticize its imperfections, which you'll miss out on entirely if you decide to mod those imperfections out (whether you care or not)
Interesting you should mention this; ever since the recent mods added to Melee (Volleyball/Wolf build and Custom Stages designed for comp in particular), there have been a few propositions for what the future of Melee tournaments should be going forward. I've seen mention of whether Wolf and the custom stages themselves should be tourney legal, and whether to rebalance the characters to increase viability of the low tiers.

Usually I'm pro modification and I love what things like CTGP have done for the Mario Kart Wii community (granted it's more of a DLC-style mod with extra tracks, online support and game modes than an actual revision of the game itself) but I actually feel Melee should be left alone in a tournament setting, rule changes within the vanilla game notwithstanding. I can appreciate what adding custom characters, rebalancing bad ones and adding extra stages could do, but I actually like Vanilla Melee as a competitive game for its relatively small list of matchups that you *need* to learn, and even with its limited stage list Top professionals don't even seem to be close to 'solving' the game to a point where every set ever played is going to be identical. It's already in a good enough spot to not try to 'fix' anything. But also Project M exists as an option for people who do want a more modified game experience anyway.

I got around to taking a couple screenshots of my old stats page before the wipe. Seeing the recent games section and remembering the group of friends I was playing with back when I was 14-15 got the nostalgia flowing a little. We couldn't quite get the steaktacular medal against bungie in that bungie vs. the world event. I dunno how rare an achievement this was but in Reach I got 2 unfrig medals in campaign, on Pillar of Autumn. I've heard of people doing it on other levels but at the time I was convinced I was the only person in the world who had done it on that map.

any reason to think they won't?
Idk, from the sounds of it organisers are being extra careful with nintendo related keywords in announcements and tournament banners. Still, I would not be surprised if at least 1 round (or another major altogether) gets cancelled again.

Not gonna lie, been pretty apathetic towards DLC in smash since around the time Bayonetta and Corrin were announced. But looking back there’s been a couple of fire picks for Ult.

Had Ult as a side bracket at melee locals and it was pretty fun cycling through different characters.

Front Mount intercooler is almost done

Of course the kit that ‘suits’ the car forces you to cut a bunch of brackets and the front reinforcement bar just for it to fit smh

The DeLorean never caught my eye. Just looks like any other generic late 70s and 80s car to me, bland and boring looking with an even less fun power train than most of them.
Should've gone the true American way and slapped in a 13.9L small block pushing 260hp to the crank and 80hp to the wheels instead smh.

I bought it and pay it with my own money and the car is signed onto my name only.

And don't ever get a DeLorean. That car is a piece of shit but hey, Back To The Future was a popular movie once right?
I'd get a DMC-12 or a Replica kit car of a Lancia Stratos tbh

Don't get me wrong in either case I'd be slapping in running gear from my R34 instead of the shitty OEM V6 but hey. They're good lookin' cars tbh

they absolutely need to know, they're just complacent with shitty online in smash

Going across the country in a RV was something I always wanted to do. Maybe one day I'll do that.
do it but in an R-chassis that throws sparks on flat roads

kinda wack that they’re doubling down so hard on this. I know of a few streamers getting openly sexually harassed by chat with no consequences outside their mods timing out offending commenters. Like, if they’re targeting bullying shouldn’t the biggest problem be the first on the list?

Picking up spacies was a mistake. I jump out of shine with Y and I just know it’s gonna come back and bite me if I don’t look after my hands properly. But I’m so addicted to the reward for high APM with them now.

tbh it's for the better with the revenge porn and underage video scandals I've heard about. Mind you, they could, y'know, actually have a decent report system with active moderation instead.

i only know what the check engine means lol

i have no idea what the other 3 mean

if you couldnt tell i have very little knowledge about cars
Top is oil mixed with coolant, a symptom of a blown head gasket which can be a pretty expensive fix. Second is coolant temperature light which means the engine is overheating or has a leak. Third is oil pressure light which basically means guaranteed engine death.

a friend of mine has been reading The Rise of Kyoshi, which is supposed to be good i guess?

idk if i could get into tertiary material like this myself, though
It depends how curious you are about unanswered questions and storylines from the series. This one tackles the topic of what happened to Zuko and Azula’s Mother after she disappeared and honestly was a satisfying read. Took me about 2 hours to complete.
