I think this gives a good idea of what U.S. citizens can expect if Net Neutrality is passed.
So you don't have apprehensions about opening the door for government regulation of the internet?
Already happening. Been happening for a long time.

Nobody.
If you live in an inhospitable shit-hole, your culture is going to stagnate. That's just how it works.
Notice how all the successful, powerful cultures throughout history have been the ones who LEFT Africa? Yeah, there's a reason for that.

Implying that having a degree makes you more "educated"
Without using Google and only using your mind, please answer these simple history questions
1. What caused the creation of Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims? 2. List in order the following Chinese Dynasties: Qin, Shang, Han, Sung, Sui, Tang, and Zhou 3. Who was the Roman Emperor that increased persecutions of Christians? 4. Name the Indian leader who campaigned against the Macedonian general named Seleucus 5. What was the largest empire ever created?
nigga I'm in high school and I can answer all of these except for the Chinese dynasties.
Step it up.
I'm about to finish my Masters and I don't know the answer to a single one.
Honestly, most people don't need to know this shit unless it is relevant to their intended field of work.
Knowing the difference between Islamic sects is rather important, as it's wrong to offend a person and assume all Muslims are the same
The Qin Dynasty created a very central government and with it, a civil service exam which has been a major reason for Chinese political stability for over 2,000 years. It's even the basis for other exams found throughout the world
Christian persecutions actually benefited the growth of the religion, making it one of the most influential belief systems
Genghis Khan's Mongolian Empire set the basis for the foundations of many world nations, including the formation of the Russian Empire
4/5 questions I posted off the top of my head have VERY strong connections to our everyday life and things could be different if Khan was killed by his blood brother or the Chinese never established a central examination. So yes, most people NEED to know this stuff, not only because it's our history but lack of historical education will be the rise of people like Stalin, Hussein, and Hitler
The majority of people have gone on not knowing these things for centuries, and things have been going alright for them. It's great and useful stuff, but it is not knowledge your average joe pencildick needs to survive.

This is really more an issue of being a history nut and getting wikilost than it is an issue of education. Honestly, most people don't need to know this shit unless it is relevant to their intended field of work.

"Mr. Bush’s administration did cut taxes for middle- and low-income families, but by vastly less than for the top 1 percent."
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/16/upshot/how-the-gop-can-court-the-working-class.html?abt=0002&abg=1
Aight, I'll give you Dubya.
It should also be noted that Bush could have cut a lot more if billions weren't spent at war, but whatever.
Lets be real here, if Bush didn't go to war he would be looked at even more unfavorably today. We couldn't do NOTHING over being attacked on our soil.
I don't disagree.

Isn't it obvious?
I'd say around 40% of democrats turn Republican after they get out of college and get a real job and understand that being Republican (at least fiscally) is what is best for their hard earned dollar.
Yes, registering with a political party helps save money. Totally. You're so right.
sauce.
Voting and electing certain candidates does.
Give me one example of a Republican candidate cutting taxes for the middle class.
George W Bush.
While it was less than the taxes he cut for the wealthy (obviously because the wealthy has more money to cut), he also cut taxes for middle and lower middle class.

This starts to make sense when you consider most poor minority groups in urban areas vote blue.
Welfare dependency/farming for votes i.e. slavery.
It's a well known fact that Red states are bigger burdens on the welfare budget.
Probably has to do with most of them being poor.

I know you're mocking conservatives but this is not far from the truth. Similar to how the party got behind marriage equality, really. It was a voter-base the Republicans were acting against. Actually, I take that back. Not all too similar.

The ultimate problem with Feminism is that the term is such a huge umbrella, covering ideologies ranging from innocent equalism (which I for one do not believe has reached all it's goals yet, even in the West) to the radical, dare-I-Say Cultural Marxist (oh god I said it) shit you see pushed around Tumblr.

Obligatory jokes aside, though, the media and the government have done everything they can to separate the races. The media jumps on any black shot by white story even when the black guy is clearly in the wrong. The blacks are, of course, pressured into supporting the black guy who was shot while the white guilt faggots pour in to support it without evaluating any of the actual evidence. Then you have the people who view it objectively, majority whites, who realize either; oh he was being violent and it was justified, or we don't have enough evidence yet so let's wait before we riot. Then you have the actual hood blacks who believe that whites are the devil and fugg da poleeze, etc. This leads to a divide over what is a fucking clear cut case, the shooter was a fucking police officer who was treated for injuries afterwards.
Meanwhile you have shit like the young black man who was clearly doing nothing wrong in Ohio but was shot in the back by police. This is something that the whole country would riot over if Al Sharpton and Eric Holder blew it up like they did with these other cases. Instead of becoming a huge national story it gets swept under the rug. They don't want social justice, they don't want to take care of us. They want to divide us, they want us to continue to be racist and continue to not trust each other.
The fact that the fucking President of the United States comments on local court cases is absolutely fucking appalling, Zimmerman was lucky he didn't go to prison based on Obama's "muh son" comment alone.

In competition, which is the soul of capitalism, it does pay off not to limit oneself with strict ethics or moral rules.
