See looking at this and trying to understand it makes me want to cry
Each one of those squares/dots is a ship being flown by a person. Color denotes standing to your corp do it's essentially a friend or for tag. Person is zoomed out to see the entire battlefield. I'd imagine they're a capital ship pilot since they're sorting dreads first and don't need things like frigs and cruisers cluttering their overview. Primary denotes who the DD should be focusing fire on. The rest of the chat looks to be reinforcements relaying their current positions and asking the primary fc who to target once they arrive. That's just a brief overview of what's going on with the UI with ought getting into things like doctrines, fittings, et cetera. Which to be honest I'm not to familiar with capital ships because I typically fly frigates and cruisers.

Bro, iirc the katana was basically just a status symbol for officers in WW2. They weren't expected to actually use the thing. Kind of like how officers still carry mamelukes as part of their uniform in the US.

Eh, don't think it was an out of options thing, they seriously considered it as a viable tactic for a while until they realized how horribly it kept back firing.
In China it was a viable tactic because the Chinese were poorly organized, trained, and disciplined. However when the tactic kept failing against the US it became a last resort tactic that was used by the survivors of whatever battle that was about to be lost.

In the anime maybe, but the anime unnecessarily plays up Shinji as much worse than he actually is. In the VN it's just stated that she was found unconscious in a back ally. That's one of my gripes with the UBW anime actually.

I’m talking about Kono Yo no Kyūseishu Futarime no Rikudō Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan (which is capable of Enton Amaterasu, Izanagi, Izanami and the Tsyukuyomi Genjutsu), his two original Rinnegan (which grant him Chikushōdō, Shuradō, Tendō, Ningendō, Jigokudō, Gakidō, Gedō, Banshō Ten’in, Chibaku Tensei, Shinra Tensei, Tengai Shinsei and Banbutsu Sōzō) and a third Tomoe Rinnegan on his forehead, capable of using Katon, Fūton, Raiton, Doton, Suiton, Mokuton, Ranton, Inton, Yōton and even Onmyōton Jutsu, equipped with his Gunbai(capable of using Uchihagaeshi) and a Shakujō because he is a master in kenjutsu and taijutsu, a perfect Susano’o (that can use Yasaka no Magatama ), control of both the Juubi and the Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju’s DNA and face implanted on his chest, his four Rinbo Hengoku Clones guarding him and nine Gudōdama floating behind him AFTER he absorbed Senjutsu from the First Hokage, entered Rikudō Senjutsu Mode, cast Mugen Tsukuyomi on everybody and used Shin: Jukai Kōtan so he can use their Chakra while they are under Genjutsu.
Let's even hypothetically say that I'm instead referring to Rinne Tensei Madara Uchiha with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikidou paths ability) equipped with his Gunbai and control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, a complete Susano'o, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in his chest so he can perform Mokuton kekkei genkai and yin-yang release ninjutsu as well as being extremely skilled in taijutsu and bukijutsu. No anime character in existence could even beat him on that level!

They were using public domain music for their soundtrack and the artwork is complete shit. The remake pretty much requires an entire overhaul of the VN.
