Gaming / Re: Halo Wars 2
« on: January 12, 2015, 01:05:33 PM »
If they don't put it on PC and actually make a game like that to its full potential I will be pissed. The Halo Wars that was shown back in E3 was amazing looking, I'd imagine free build was disabled because the 360 couldn't handle it.

It was changed because their design director left after that E3 and a new guy took over shortly after. The pallet swaps for the units are also attributed to this.

The best console RTS is EndWar.

To bad Ubisoft has decided to rape it by giving us a fucking MOBA instead of a real sequel.
EndWar was so shit, RUSE and Supreme Commander 2 were both better by a very, very long way

lolno

EndWar outclassed both by a country mile.

Both are impractical.
It doesn't get much more practical than a chainsword.

Nah m8, it operates on the rule of cool.

In reality the chunks of flesh, leather, metal, et cetera would clog up the thing and stop it from rotating. Thus turning your "chain sword" into a spikey metal club.
I have considered that and I assume they have the technology to prevent this from happening which is why it doesn't.

Like I said, it operates on the rule of cool. It's never explained to my knowledge how this doesn't happen so it's essentially the same as claiming "its magic/science I don't gotta explain shit".

More British and Irish per capita.

Wouldn't have it any other way  :P

Hehe, that's for damn sure.

Less yanks, more bongers. The way the world should be.

God damn, I really nabbed the wrong image.

Canadians like to take credit for it even though they weren't involved in it for some reason so I can see why that image was made. It was purely a British affair however.

FMA

https://www.netflix.com/us/
doesnt have the last season, to be fair.

I'm pretty sure it does unless they recently removed it.
apparently they are removing it from instant on the 15th and the last chapter (season) still hasnt been released on Netflix instant/DVD.

Could have sworn it was up there a few months ago.

I'm on the fence on allowing images in the sigs, though. Would anyone be for allowing that?

I'll go on strike if you allow it.

It's like you don't like fun.

Or 1080p.

If I wanted crunchy rips I'd do it myself.
Pfft, whatever. At least I have full HD right away.

Or I could wait for the BDs and have UTW translated 1080p with all of the extras.

The Flood / What Should I Stream Next?
« on: January 11, 2015, 07:20:41 PM »
So I'm thinking about starting up the anime streaming nights/afternoons again. However I'm not sure what I'm going to show at the moment.

I could repeat Kara no Kyoukai for those who missed it and have asked me to repeat it.

I could show Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam, cause it's on my computer and why the fuck not.

I could also show the Evangelion Rebuild movies because reasons.

I've got Fate/Zero, but everyone and their mother has seen it at this point.

I would have a UBW option, but UTW never finished their work on it so that'll be a no go.

Spoiler
Oh, and I also have Fate/Kalied Liner Prisma Illya on here, but Psy thinks it's "haram".

Nujabes is rolling in his fucking grave you plebs.

He made some good stuff, but a lot of it was pretty average.

To be honest, I can't remember anything other than the intro of Samurai Champloo when it comes to his work on anime OSTs.
He produced a lot of the SC soundtrack with Fat Jon, and the reason you wouldn't have heard him in other anime OSTs would be because Champloo was the only anime he worked on.

Here is his first studio album, Metaphorical Music, which is absolutely fantastic.

Doesn't change anything I've said. Most of his stuff is pretty average/forgettable. However he does have some good stuff.

His only work in the anime industry shows this. Other than the intro I can't really recall much about it because it's just so damn generic.
