Little attention to detail I dont see often

Spoiler
it's nice but it can get a little bit annoying to lose your momentum because of it when traveling long distances
That's good to me, Just means you cant blindly run through terrains

eh.. sometimes you don't have a choice but to run through bumpy areas
But you're not always sprinting

i am when i'm doing long distance running for side quests
Maybe this is so you don't sprint through bumpy terrain

Secrets

i wouldn't have to sprint everywhere if they gave me a sweet ass motorcycle to ride
Yeah but this is Taro, stuff probably appears around the world that you can find at a limited time

well a mount wouldn't be fast travel so i don't think i'd miss events like that and even then if i miss something it's kind of my fault for not going slower
the moose

doesn't go up stairs

that might have been because it was a transition to a new area though

even if platinum didn't like nintendo for some reason (even though they're producing exclusive games for them) and they wanted to make it known to the world that they think the N64 is useless trash would it really matter? does it really require internet outrage and petitions to get them to apologize and change the game so as to not hurt the delicate sensibilities of nintendo fans?
No, I just think trying to deny that it was a blatant N64 reference is really really dumb. The way I see it, it was a playful jab--nothing to take seriously, let alone start petitions over and get outraged over. But it was a Nintendo 64 reference and everybody knows it. They wouldn't have rearranged the MIM-46's name in such a way--they probably wouldn't have rearranged it at all. It's not like military devices have copyright protection.

brb making a h&s video game with a hidden weapon called  the "x-bone" (note the hyphen) with the description "useless piece of underpowered garbage; has very little competitive merit"

oh what's that, you think it's a reference to the xbox one? NO, it's just a bone that breaks really easily, and that's why i called it useless and underpowered

teehee~

i mean all they did was move the letter M one up in the alphabet and swap the 4 and the 6. in all likelihood it was just a acronym they took and slightly modified to create a weapon that looked like it would have come from a world similar to ours, albeit it in the future.

any similarities to a 20 year old video game console are purely coincidental and i don't think anyone there really cares about taking pot shots at a console most people playing video games today have never even touched. i know i sure as hell wouldn't and i actually own one of those things.

i really think this is just a case of nintendo fans being sensitive and creating conspiracy theories where none exist.

>MIM-46 is a self propelled anti-aircraft system that uses rockets to down enemy aircraft

>NIN64 has the profile that's somewhat similar to the igla, a soviet man portable SAM

ok
"it is impossible to reference two things at the same time"

ok

fucking retard

i'm going to start a petition right now to make platinim, Taro, and Square apologize to me personally for insulting the glorious MIM-46. It was an amazing piece of american ingenuity and HOW DARE they EVER think that it's ANYTHING other than THE BEST piece of military hardware EVER.

Fishing is fun.
Planning to catch them all? I'm happy they brought fishing back

>it's ok when Aria does it

SHE DIDNT SPEND TWO HOURS FISHING IN A POND

it wasn't a pond

it was a river, then an oil spill, and then a sewer

I've spent a few hours with the game now and I feel like it's the best game to come out so far this year. I've found the gameplay to be really enjoyable and I like that it does a lot of things that I really haven't seen done in video games before. Some of which was shown off in the demo where the change of perspective will turn this 3d action rpg into a 2d side scroller or an isometric twin stick.

Boss fights have all been enjoyable so far as well and the OST has been pretty on point so far which adds immensely to the overall experience imo.

this game does have a couple minor faults though

a) the environment looks almost last gen which stands as a stark contrast to the highly detailed (and very good looking) models for the main characters.

b) 9S, while generally helpful, can occasionally get in the way during boss fights with funky mechanics. i found myself smacking into him when trying to jump out of the way of something or getting caught up on him when trying to run away.

c) while the OST has been pretty great for the most part the music for one of the towns is so god damn annoying that it makes me want to rip out my ear drums. this could probably be lessened by lowering the pitch to something below ear piercing levels.

Rip playing tonight I guess, Halfway done with the update and I've still got another 40 minutes and counting to go.
wow

that sounds like a personal problem kiddo
i mean it literally is

:^)
heh

Tbh though knowing how much Comcast hates Sony, I wouldn't be surprised if it was my isp throttling me.

i've got att&t and i get the same thing. it's the ps4 doing it.

here's a nice read on the subject if you're interested

the graphical jump from last gen to this gen was never going to be amazing. the real advancements have been in the size of the worlds, more realistic physics, and the amount of different things that can go on in these games at once on screen

i actually hated 2 and brotherhood but liked revelations and 3

mainly because it was nice to be able to play as master luke skywalker instead of yet again having to be farmboy luke and be a bumbling neophyte and colonial era US is a setting that's pretty much never used in video games

it probably also helps that i paid less than $10 for the two of them
