Waiting for Amiami to request payment so I can have my Lucina fig processed and be on its way.

Spoiler

This is probably the only figma that I'll ever buy. Though I was thinking about getting "The Thinker" just because it's so strange.

Hopefully the steam thing happens though since more Japanese devs are starting to release their VNs in the west on that platform.
It's really our last hope. Most VN's have been shit so far, but there are a few good ones on steam. They should know they have a western audience too considering Fate/Extra sold more to the west than Japan.

Part of the problem though is that Nasuverse shit is pretty long and wordy when it's actually him that's writing the stuff. Fate/Extra was pretty light on dialogue in comparison and IIRC Fate/Extra CCC is almost like a proper Nasu light novel.

That's gotta be a bitch and a half to translate, not to mention the cost.
> Cost

> Ufotable animates their stuff

I don't think money is a problem

I'm talking more about the companies that do the translations. Cause they have to pay for the license on top of paying their translators and coders full time.
Ah good point :(

So just to rub in some salt.

F/SN was originally supposed to get a US release as well. However Type-Moon found that there weren't any eroge companies in the west that could afford a high profile license like Fate so the project was scrapped. If eroge was more accepted in the west Type-Moon could have established itself here back in 2005 and we could have been getting direct in house translations at this point instead of having to rely either on fan translators or on translation companies to cobble together funds.

Nasuverse is my favorite fictional universe. Nasu needs to hop off the Fate/Dick though and get back to his Tsukihimi remake. Also doing some sort of post F/SN stuff with Shirou in a visual novel would be totes be awesome.

Just watch the Tsukihime anime :^)

Luci, fan made OVAs don't count. There has never been a Tsukihime anime.
That was the reply I was hoping for. You really are a Nasuverse lover.

I would play the VN but it's too... dated. Though that remake will take 20 years to be made and translated unless Nasu sees Steam is an accessible way to show it to western audiences.

Well other than the Sacchin route the remake should be largely the same text wise. It's mainly an art and sound overhaul with voice acting being put into the game. Plus I have no doubt that they'll put in some bonus mini games and stuff like they did with the remake of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.

Hopefully the steam thing happens though since more Japanese devs are starting to release their VNs in the west on that platform.

Other than that I can't think of anything to objectionable.
Caster and Ryuunosuke's fun time with children might be a bit off putting to some people.

Although funnily enough, I don't remember that part from my viewing, must've been a BluRay release thing.

I don't think child killing is objectionable. I mean you have to see it coming when Gilles de Rais is summoned.
If you know who he is.

Well if you have any interest in the Hundred Year War then you should know who he is....

Thanks lads, gunna try and convince Mrs Batch to watch Fate Zero with me.

*sips tea*

Fair warning, Fate/Zero starts off a bit slow since the first three episodes are world building. The first of which can get kind of boring for some first time viewers, especially if they aren't already into the nasuverse since it's about 40 minutes long.

Also if you're opposed to questionable content there's a bit in it where one of the characters (Kariya Matou) has his motivations set up for entering the grail war. Basically his niece is being put through the trials that enable the Matous to use their particular brand of magic that entails being the breeding ground for insects. To save her from going through any more of the training he takes per place and becomes a master in the grail war in exchange for having his father free her from ever having to participate in it again if he wins.

Other than that I can't think of anything to objectionable.

From what I've seen and heard The Order 1886 is a 5 hour one.

Where have you seen enough evidence to validate that the game is 5 hours long?

The playthrough of the game on youtube.

Telltale games are interactive movies. They give freedom in what happens, but there's very little actual 'gameplay'. They can't really be 'lost' in the traditional sense, so they're not really games at all.

They're also not charging you $60 though.
Nobody's saying they're not worth getting.

I'm just making the distinction between something like a telltale game and something like say, The Order 1886. One knows it's an interactive movie and doesn't try to hide it. Thus charging significantly less money. The other is an interactive movie and is trying to hide it. Thus you're being charged $60 and the devs are trying to damage control.

The mods got rid of that because people were wearing t like a badge of pride.

Stay on topic and praise me for being the hero you need.
Uh, that is what Nexus stated. They rid of that feature because of him and I, and I was telling him what you were talking about. You are derailing your own thread by trying to continue this discussion.

He's talking about moderated status. It's something that no longer exists. Basically at a certain percentage every one of your posts would have to be approved by a moderator. Only the people who were on moderated status could see the indication though.

That shit was a pain in the ass to deal with and I'm glad it's gone.
