Serious / Re: "Anti-gay" Republican sent nude photos to people on Grindr« on: May 01, 2015, 01:41:35 PM »Looking at the image in the news story, it looks as if the person he sent the picture to reciprocated nonetheless. Not, of course, that sending unsolicited pictures justifies outing somebody in the first place--regardless of how stupid a thing it is to do. So if someone out of the blue just started sending you a bunch of explicit nudes of themselves you'd be perfectly fine with that and wouldn't tell anybody? 6790

Randy Boehning: sending unsolicited explicit photos to other men So what part of sending explicit photos of yourself to people who never wanted or asked for them is ok? This was bound to happen eventually. 6792

Septagon / Re: For everyone proposing stricter rules and regulations...« on: May 01, 2015, 12:52:56 AM »Okay who got butthurt? There's the problem. This forum has so many butthurt people that their favorite pasttime in the forum is to flood the moderators with reports. Thankfully, the two biggest perpetrators of this (Kinder and Noelle) are gone for the foreseeable future. If there rules and regulations stayed relaxed, then these butthurt people would continue to be denied influence since honestly, most of them tend to be annoying pricks in the eyes of some 75% of the forum. There are no plans to change the rules at this time. 6795

Gaming / Re: This is why Mods are the best thing to happen to gaming.« on: May 01, 2015, 12:42:40 AM »But Verbchan if your car is stock with all season tires and you deiced to put winter tires on with new rims for them you're pissing on the designers art. If they intended for that car to have different rims with winter tires they would have designed the car to be stock with them. Getting different tires and rims is modding it since they weren't stock. Getting different tires and rims is just like someone modding a game to have different armor designs. Since you're against modding because it's changing the game from what the developers designed. You might as we be against adding things to a car like different tires since they're not stock just like a mod in a game. No, it's a good analogy that describes your viewpoint on mods. You think mods are bad because they "piss on the artwork of the people that made the game". To you if the game intended to have that whatever that mod is doing it would have it from the start. Hell if you have a car do you change the tires since those new tires you would be putting on weren't stock?sigh Because Verb doesn't spam porn. 6797

Septagon / Re: Selective Moderation« on: April 30, 2015, 06:03:18 PM »Well the system only lists you as online if you're active, refreshing a page or clicking something, so you had to have been doing one of those for your username to be listed on the Index page. And really, Comms made 5-7 shitposts earlier, when Flee and LC were online, during that time only a couple of other threads were made and the ones made by Comms stayed at the top for a couple of hours. Like I said, I'll sit on the index and refresh for reports every now and again if I'm doing something else. If I don't see any report notifications I assume everything is fine. This is a volunteer job after all, I'm not getting paid to sit here and watch everything. I use up my free time doing it that I could be using to do something more enjoyable like playing vidya, catching up on tv series, or seeing a movie that's been on my backlog. You also have some of the mods on Skype and can send PMs if you think there's an issue or don't know if the mods are actually available at the moment. It's pretty easy to get in contact with most of us. 6807
Septagon / Re: Selective Moderation« on: April 30, 2015, 05:47:24 PM »There's also only been one report total today, so if I'm checking in on reports and don't see anything then I'm going to assume that everything is daijobu.maybe people don't bother leaving reports because they don't think anything is actually going to be done, or because it seems annoyingly tattletale-ish Well if you're having an issue with not wanting to be seen as a tattle-tale you can't exactly get angry at the mods when they're not around to handle it and don't when they do get on due to not even knowing it took place. 6808
Septagon / Re: Selective Moderation« on: April 30, 2015, 05:36:27 PM »And really, Comms made 5-7 shitposts earlier, when Flee and LC were online, during that time only a couple of other threads were made and the ones made by Comms stayed at the top for a couple of hours. Was I actually on? Or was my computer on? I leave this thing on all day so me being "on" doesn't mean I'm actually on. I don't even know what happened with meta's thread today since I haven't really looked on here much. To busy with other shit. There's also only been one report total today, so if I'm checking in on reports and don't see anything then I'm going to assume that everything is daijobu. 6810
