Basically. They want to try and use the Pokemon model on Fire Emblem and it's awful. Especially since this game was not made with that in mind and was obviously split like this late into development. It's almost like they want FE to die after it found its footing again with FE:A.

Too bad Planetside 2 has sucked shit since the lattice update. Otherwise I'd still be playing it.
The lattice update massively improved the game, most players loved the update when it first came out and they still do. It fixed a large problem with regional capture, and made it so idiots didn't just focus the crown all day, just most of the day.
It's kind of hard to say that most players loved the update when the games population tanked after its release. Also it made things worse since now biolabs couldn't be taken stealthily (forcing you to engage in meat grinder simulator 2013) and you still had crown issues due to the way the lattice lanes were laid out.

I'm looking up graphs, and I can't find a single one to suggest the population tanked.
Unfortunately the map I use to use for this now only goes back to Sep 2013. However even with that you can see that the population has been dwindling (and all the server merges reflect it) since then save for the spike during the Hossin update that quickly went back down to normal levels and continued to drop after.

Apparently Hoshido is really friendly towards grinding while Nohr is harder and doesn't allow for as much of it. This basically means that Hoshido is the only viable MP game unless you buy the other route as a Nohr player.
Thank you Ninty, your decision to split up a game that was intended to be whole for more monies is really shaping up to be a great decision.
EDIT: There might be something that caps MP units at level 20 and reverts stats back to what they were at level 20. While not as bad Hoshido still has the advantage since they can bring every unit to 20 while Nohr won't get that opportunity without something like FE: Awakening DLC that allows you to continuously grind on DLC maps.

I thought it was pretty good, but suffered from what most modern movies suffer from. Something always has to be happening, or they think the audience is going to fall asleep. But I still liked it.
What bugs the hell out of me, though, is how they can just throw cuttlefish dna into the mix.
