But seriously, the console fanbase needs to accept that the PS4 and Xbox One are under powered so that MS and Sony can prioritize good gameplay over good visuals. I mean MS and Sony are just as guilty when it comes to pushing this stuff, but if the fanbase didn't eat it all up and demanded that they prioritize the opposite they'd follow the money.
You should be buying a console for its games and social features, not it's power.

But why did they not reserve 30 fps to split-screen? Its totally possible for a game to have separate frame-rates for separate modes. I think it wasn't a technical decision but either a design or a business one.
Apparently gameplay mechanics are tied to frames.

That math is wrong.
It also neglects to mention the fact that the US became a country during a period of almost constant war, was subsequently involved in two world wars, and then became a super power as it was the only country that wasn't fucked over by them and had to go up against the other world supper power that was expansionist and ideologically opposed to western Europe/ the US, had to clean up after the collapse of the European empires, and then had to undertake operations to intervene in other countries on the behalf of the UN and it's allies due to it's status as the only reliable (and later sole remaining) super power. If you were to take a look at say, the UK you'd find that they've been involved in just as many, if not more wars than we have during that same time period. However due to the fact that they've been around for a few thousand years (in one form or another) it doesn't look as bad.

I think you guys are very confused concerning the definition of "puppet state".
I was directing that more towards the statement you made about it being an independent nation. It really isn't as it relies on the US for a lot of things. If you're referring to real puppet states then you'll be hard pressed to find a nation that actually is one these days. Do certain nations (like the US) have sway in a lot of nations? Yes, but these nations aren't being controlled by said large and influential nations.
