When people stop buying into FUD and giving the media the ratings they want by peddling and manipulating stories to give them whatever they think will achieve the highest ratings and thus bring in more revenue.

i don't always play tf2, but when i do, i play on console master race

which is good, because then the game is purely vanilla--just the way i like it

but it also means that the engineer is stupidly overpowered, because the only thing that can viably intercept level 3 sentries is the spy sapper, and it's easy as fuck to tell who is a spy, if they're just walking towards the fucking sentry

your only other option is to attempt to destroy it with artillery, which is hard as fuck, because wherever you can see the sentry, it can see you as well--so while you might be able to plug it with a few rockets, you're always gonna fucking die--no question--and the engineer will always be camped near it to fix up any damage it takes

really just... ridiculous class

by the time you actually manage to destroy it, a couple of enemy scouts will probably have already captured enough points to end the game--there's just no hope
That sounds like some DICE level of balance, why is it different on the PC version?

The PC version was updated and balanced before Valve decided to milk it for all its worth with microtransactions. The console version is kind of in a piss poor state because Valve doesn't care about consoles and hasn't given it a single update.

I mean TF2 still sucks ass regardless of what platform you play it on, but the PC version use to suck a little less ass. Now they're about the same.

« on: August 16, 2015, 12:27:20 PM »
Good.
He's only surging in New Hampshire where the poll took place. In places where it actually matters, like Iowa, Clinton is still double digits ahead of Sanders.

That's a joke right? Cause Iowa doesn't matter in the democratic primary.

The general election however is a different story.

Buy a console for the games you like and the people you enjoy.

If there aren't any games you like or people you enjoy on a platform then I'd suggest not purchasing it.

« on: August 15, 2015, 07:44:58 PM »

Psy's apparently going to take it apart tomorrow.

However if you actually read the source I gave you'd see that this study was done by people who had a vested interest in creating a certain result, had zero transparency with how the were conducting their study, and then proceeded to "peer review" their own work.

You don't have to be a psychologist to have a few red flags raise up in your mind when that's going on.

Serious / Re: APA, what the fuck, stop it

You're completely neglecting to mention he fact that this study is pretty much bogus due to the fact that the people who did it were looking to create a result that agreed with their biases.

“As a researcher in this field, I thought you might be curious to know that there are actually a lot of problems with this report, how the task force was comprised, and the basis for its conclusions on research,”

“Indeed, the evidence linking violent games to aggression is honestly a lot less clear than the APA report would have one believe.  There are an increasing number of studies coming out now that suggest there is no link whatsoever. Further, the task force appeared to have been selected from among scholars with clear anti-media views (two had previously signed an amicus brief supporting attempts to regulate violent video games in the Brown v EMA 2011 Supreme Court case for instance).”

It's apparently a pretty controversial study among American psychologists as a lot of them are having issues with how the APA went about doing that study.

Basically it seems to have been created with the intention of creating this result and there's currently an open letter signed by 230 psychologists requesting that they rescind this study.

A TL;DR of what seems to have went down is that a bunch of anti-media anti-youth old people got together and looked for "evidence" to confirm their biases.

All mobile games are ass sucking cancer.

However some suck less ass and are less cancerous than others. As much as I shit on Fate/Grand Order I actually find it to be kinda fun. It would probably be top tier too for a mobile game if they reduced the AP recharge rate and made the gacha a bit better.
