Updated with details for the Nero event.

Master difficulty caught me off guard, I actually have to plan out how I'm going to fight that final battle now.
Its a pretty easy fight.

On my first run Waver gave jing ke and himself like 12 defense buffs so I was fighting an assassin with the tankiness of Jeanne and no beserker.
And thats why you kill Waver off in one round.

I've found that going Lu bu -> jing ke -> waver works well because waver doesn't do enough damage as a support character to take out your entire team with his defense buffs.

The only way you're taking out waver in one turn is if you're running a BBB or BBR.

I'm running an ASB.
Yeh I said it worked best <_<

My problem was that I thought I was going to roll through it effortlessly like I do everything else. So by the time i realized that waver had turned himself into a brick wall it was to late to stop what was essentially an assassin Jeanne rape train.

Oh for fuck's sake.

Yes, if veganism were as simple as pulling a lever and saving five animals, many people would ascribe to it. But it's not, because it turns out life is more complicated than a stupid, contrived situation. And just a reminder that eating a vegan diet doesn't actually save any animals; it would take a massive, species-wide change to do so, and that's only feasible once the vast majority of people are living affluent, privileged lifestyles that grant the freedom of wealth to afford an expensive, catered approach to food consumption.

Then there's also the elaphant in the room of more blood being shed harvesting a field of corn than there is a heard of cattle.

The lives of amphibians, birds, rodents, and other small animals don't matter I guess.

Did none of you realize that "The Arbiter is dead the war is over" was said by a grunt in the officially released gameplay? You know, the same gameplay that said he was alive later on in the level?

It sound like Osiris wasnt paying the grunt any mind, it was probably just another fanatic. They seemed pretty convinced he was still alive.
Plus it seemed to me like that mission is the first on sangheios before Arby gets to do anything major

Bacon pointed out in another thread that this mission takes place before the E3 one and the Arbiter is clearly alive during that since he's guiding Osiris through the city.

"Here are a few questions I've been pondering, please don't answer them."

>Mikasa promptly gives an in-depth, four-paragraph (+ two lines) answer

Well.
*shrug*

i appreciate her fervor

i would prefer it if future questions asked by me weren't answered until i finish the game, though

K.

Regarding how the flood aren't scary, Bungie do a shit job of setting a tone in a game. The novels depict the war as how fighting an ultra advanced alien empire where one of te species capture and eat humans. Eat them like hot dogs.

As for the flood not being scary...

This motherfucker is like to disagree.

I'm sorry, but a giant tentacle monster isn't scary.

It's something I can't see people playing for more than a week at most.

Just want to point out that I haven't read the article in the OP, nor have I read this one:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2015/09/15/no-bernie-sanders-is-not-going-to-bankrupt-america-to-the-tune-of-18-trillion/?postshare=4311442369518137

I didn't read the OP, but it this basically confirmed what I thought. It's not in additional expenses, it's just rearranging how we pay for what we already have for the most part.

The WSJ is once again trying to influence the debate with misleading clickbait titles it looks like.

Copy and pasting this from another thread for those of you who are worried about the Batch "spoiler". It's false and derives from people either not understanding the context in which the line is said or people who just flat out did not watch/finish the video.

Personally I view this on the same level as saying that the MC is a transsexual black midget since it's already been proven that he isn't, but I'm going to talk to Cheat and see how we want to handle these kinds of "spoilers" in the future.

Your teacher sounds like a Valve fanboy.
How does liking one Valve game make you a Valve fanboy?

It's not about liking the game, it's about using it as an example of "good narrative in video games".
I'll rephrase the question then... how does using Half Life as an example of good narrative in a video game make you a Valve fanboy?

Because it isn't.

He actually mentioned Bungie games several times, how the computer addressed the protagonists in Marathon for example. He also mentioned Myth briefly, but I don't remember the context.

All of Marathons "good narrative" is in the form of terminals you can access to find out more about the story and universe. I wouldn't exactly call that good narrative in video games since that's like forcing the player to play a game to find bits and pieces of [insert good book of choice here] and then proclaiming your game good narrative. The story of the actual game itself is nothing special.
He didn't use that game in particular as an example of good narrative, he just said that it was kind of unique for it's time in the way it presented the story to the player, where in most shooters the player just had a lot of enemies to kill and then proceed to the next level.

Also, it's not about the story, it's bout the narrative techniques.

I'll grant him Marathon, because that way of presenting a story was unique at the time. However saying Half-Life has a good or unique narrative is just wrong. They only thing different it did from a lot of other games was not use cutscenes and use a lot of scripted sequences, but even then that wasn't a first to do either of those and it didn't do anything special to differentiate it from those that came before.

Chances are, you're going to get lost. This mission does that the first time.

Also, the devs got pretty lazy because everything after The Library is copypasta of te terrain from other levels. But you play it backwards!

That was actually a pretty common thing to do at the time. It's dated as hell now, but back then it was a way to provide the player with more content while also saving space on the disc.

You can actually skip right to the top of the pyramid from the skybridge that the banshee is on if you can kill the elite that runs to it before he can get it.

I honestly don't remember the last time I've gone through that last descent of grey circular bullshit.
