I'd have to ask our resident sadist and old lady who is married to the forum Fuddy-Duddy.

Tell me, do you know?
I don't see how your growing resemblance to your mother-- who you have on every occasion described with negativity-- and proliferated private affairs with your sister that border on implausible anime-trope ridden standards relate to your forced meme that there's some sort of non-platonic history to Verb and me. So dear, please inform me when you find yourself as a mirror of your mother if she were a stunted boy of androgynous nature, both continuously drunk and devoid of humor sans your particular fascination with droll memetics and weeaboo-antics.

Spoiler
Don't fuck around with me while I'm writing papers, I'll become belligerently descriptive in the nastiest ways.
My mother is great, if you honestly think there's some negativity between me and her, you're either joking or thought I was serious.

The private affairs, as you call them, are between her and my dumb-ass uncle trying to run something he's not involved in. So please, lets not assume.

Don't come onto this forum while you're writing papers. --not my fault.
Calm down dear, I was just escalating the back and forth to a level that you would have to give up at. I was only saying that you shouldn't attempt me while I'm writing unless you'd like to combat a few walls.

Spoiler
The old-couple thing actually does irk me though. The implications irrationally unhinge me a bit.

So when's your 30th anniversary again?
When are you going to acknowledge the fact that you erroneously defend precarious positions until the other person gives up or you outright cease responding to the issue? In context, of course; I'm afraid that assurances that only arise when you're called out on it, and never in the moment, don't count for much.

Or you could go back to pseudo-jokingly posting perverted comments for e-cred and leave the situation well enough alone.
Spoiler
Seriously, stop

It's not my fault I'm right all the time

>implying i care about e-cred and people liking me
If I cared about that I wouldn't be a mod

come on, do some research before you do this stuff bae

also put down the thesaurus, it doesn't make you look intelligent

:))))

OT: If i liked men i'd totally let nathan put it in my butt

Hmm not really to that extent, but there are a lot of people I enjoy talking to.

I'm not great for proactive conversation starting, because of the sheer volume of people I have messaging me every day. It's not manageable to be starting conversations on the whole, depends a little on the how busy the day is though.

I do remember the kinda feeling though, when you make a new friend/good friend etc you want to spend time talking with them and all that.

As for clingyness though, I don't think that's really my style. I suffer greatly with a large number of Denkos that seem to be drawn to me like moths to a flame, all jabbering for attention and getting pissy when I don't have infinite time to spend with them. Sure it's nice to think that people want to talk to you, but it gets kinda tiresome when the world and his wife constantly barrage you with Hey :) or Hi :)))))))) or EKS DEE etc

: ))))

Hey

How's it goin

Want to play some destiny?

The Flood / Re: What's your view on tipping?
« on: November 12, 2015, 01:06:28 AM »
When you live in a city area

I do live in a city area. It's actually easier to go to the store because there's a hell of a lot more of them and they're hell of a lot closer. Sounds like you need to manage your time better m8. Safeway and other super markets close at 1 am and if I can work night shifts that let me off at 11pm-12am as well as having school during the week and still find time to go to the store at least once a week then so can you.

fixed wages incentivize sub-par customer service

Restaurants that have gone no tip have found that their customer service actually improved due to it. Happy workers are better workers.

Also quality of service =/= better tip. There's no correlation whatsoever and waiters that provide a better quality service only see above average tips about 2% of the time.

The Flood / Re: What's your view on tipping?
« on: November 11, 2015, 04:22:06 PM »
If you can't afford to tip in the US then you can't afford to eat out. Until the minimum wage for service jobs is raised or tip restaurants start following the lead of the no tip ones then you should continue to tip.

It's shit, but it's the system we're stuck with for the time being.

Thread opened because there was no reason to lock this. The discussion is political in nature, contains a source, and there's no flood tier bait in the OP.

I have half a mind to clean up the thread and remove the "this is the serious board posts".

Gaming / Re: Biggest gaming disappointments?
« on: November 11, 2015, 12:56:47 PM »
It stands out in that the game presented you with real issues with a big money democracy, and an autocratic government, both with their perms and flaws. And in the harshness of a wasteland, it made you actually sit and think about it, and talk about the outcomes long after, along with advantages and disadvantages of both. Not even bringing the other to scenarios in it.

You sure we played the same game? Cause all the factions were pretty bare bones and not once did I have to actually sit and think about what I was going to do. Sure it had more variety than a game like Fallout 3, but that doesn't automatically make the story good. You need actual good writing and a good story to tell for that. None of the characters for the main story really felt like real people and most of them were really just plot vehicles. I honestly couldn't tell you the names of 90% of the characters central to it, that's how forgettable they are. Even then the plot really isn't much more than "gather support, fight at the dam, slide show about what happens due to your choices".

Quote
If a games story keeps you talking long after its done, I think it's done well.

I guess that means that Mass Effect 3's ending is a masterpiece because that little gem is still talked about today.

You're not allowed to hate fallout
No, I'm just not allowed to hate you.

Spoiler
think you read this wrong, to no surprise you massive shill, Youre not allowed to hate fallout if all you've done is play the main questline. That's not really enough time, especially if you just zoomed through.

The story of Fallout has always been bad. I really hope he/any of you didn't really expect different in this one?
But New Vegas's story was insanely good.

No it wasn't. It was slightly above average at best.
I disagree. I felt the factions and their ideological choices was far better and complex than just "good vs evil", and the build up to a war was great. It was a great homage to the original Fallout's as well.

That doesn't mean it was good. It was pretty run of the mill nothing special fam, nothing really stands out as exceptional in the story telling department.

It's amusing that most of the big advances for fallout 4 are just mods from 3 and NV. I mean it's great that they're part of the base game and all, but certain ones like real time settler could have really benefitted from being done by a professional studio intending it to be a full featured mechanic instead of continuing to function like a hacky workaround.
