Gaming / Re: This guy on Bungie wants my mythic account for Destiny
« on: January 24, 2016, 01:38:41 AM »
All I get on b.net are random requests to join Sep7 from people who think we're a destiny clan.

How does anyone even come to that conclusion? Doesn't the vast majority of them think of us as like stormfront or something?

I don't even know man, I haven't looked at their forums in ages. Last I heard people still go chimp whenever sep7 is mentioned and a group of them (including a newer mod and monitor) came up with some plan where they thought they'd be able to steal our domain name and shut us down.

Yes

Even the Russians have formed some sort of weird love cult around the mouse girl from Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers.

The only way my browsing habit would cause ads like that is the amount of weeb threads on Sep7 every day

Which is close to none actually. Psy took a look recently and there were maybe 12 over the course of 4 months from what I recall.

Except there's nothing inherently wrong with lolicon.
I'm sure she'll find other ways of asking people for money.

Wonder what group of exploitable nerds will be her next target of her flame bait.
My money's on weebs. She'll have no problem destroying them with lolicon alone.

And Japan doesn't give a shit about third wave feminism.

I'd be fine with this.

Streaming is for faggots and the only good animes never get an English license so you can torrent all the shitty fan subs you want.

CR actually isn't that bad. All of the "fan sub" groups these days just rip from them anyway.

Then again it's one of the few legal options.

Serious / Re: Reason number 683058 why America is better than the UK
« on: January 18, 2016, 12:52:06 PM »
Yeah, because of a stupid petition that got X amount of signatures.

I mean, the american government had to debate and research whether it was worth building a Death Star on the same kind of grounds, so...

Quote
The Administration shares your desire for job creation and a strong national defense, but a Death Star isn't on the horizon. Here are a few reasons:

The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We're working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.
The Administration does not support blowing up planets.
Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?
However, look carefully (here's how) and you'll notice something already floating in the sky -- that's no Moon, it's a Space Station! Yes, we already have a giant, football field-sized International Space Station in orbit around the Earth that's helping us learn how humans can live and thrive in space for long durations. The Space Station has six astronauts -- American, Russian, and Canadian -- living in it right now, conducting research, learning how to live and work in space over long periods of time, routinely welcoming visiting spacecraft and repairing onboard garbage mashers, etc. We've also got two robot science labs -- one wielding a laser -- roving around Mars, looking at whether life ever existed on the Red Planet.

Keep in mind, space is no longer just government-only. Private American companies, through NASA's Commercial Crew and Cargo Program Office (C3PO), are ferrying cargo -- and soon, crew -- to space for NASA, and are pursuing human missions to the Moon this decade.

Even though the United States doesn't have anything that can do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, we've got two spacecraft leaving the Solar System and we're building a probe that will fly to the exterior layers of the Sun. We are discovering hundreds of new planets in other star systems and building a much more powerful successor to the Hubble Space Telescope that will see back to the early days of the universe.

We don't have a Death Star, but we do have floating robot assistants on the Space Station, a President who knows his way around a light saber and advanced (marshmallow) cannon, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, which is supporting research on building Luke's arm, floating droids, and quadruped walkers.

We are living in the future! Enjoy it. Or better yet, help build it by pursuing a career in a science, technology, engineering or math-related field. The President has held the first-ever White House science fairs and Astronomy Night on the South Lawn because he knows these domains are critical to our country's future, and to ensuring the United States continues leading the world in doing big things.

If you do pursue a career in a science, technology, engineering or math-related field, the Force will be with us! Remember, the Death Star's power to destroy a planet, or even a whole star system, is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

Paul Shawcross is Chief of the Science and Space Branch at the White House Office of Management and Budget

No it didn't. All it did was give a humorous response, pointed out some of the scientific advances the US has made, and tried to promote interest in NASA.

I mean unless you consider doing simple math to get a rounded cost estimate to be "debate and research".

inb4 people can't detect satire

oh
When there's people like this running around, it's kinda hard for people to tell when a weeb is serous or not.

Spoiler

It's hard to tell when people who are obsessed with western media are being serious with these kind of people running around.

YALL MOTHERFUCKERS CAN'T HANDLE DIS SHIT

YALL MOTHERFUCKERS GETTIN BLOWN THE FUCK OUT TODAY

What can Magical Amber even do?

Like, she's more powerful than all of the aristoteles, but her abilities are never defined. It's gotta be some pretty heavy shit since that's planet busting stuff there.
That's her secret, LC. We don't fucking know.

Then she can probably do anything and everything.

Alright that's a wrap. Magical Girl Kohaku wins.

Everybody dies at the Asylum Demon their first time. Anyone that says otherwise is a liar; it's a rite of passage.

Just because you couldn't beat him on your first try doesn't mean others couldn't.

You probably picked black firebombs as your starting gift you casual scum.

I didn't die the first time.

VR won't be viable for another decade. The price point required to run something like OR is too high for the average consumer that isn't an enthusiast right now and eighth gen consoles aren't powerful enough to run it properly.

I never had autists at my school. Strange it's such a common thing in the US.

They try to integrate them with the normal student body for certain classes instead of keeping them segregated.

Doesn't work very well in my opinion.
