It's also important to note that I am writing fluff into this to make it more interesting to read for you guys. Personally I feel like having me type out that I made A B and C unit do X Y and Z is a lot less interesting than writing it out as if each one of you have your own agency. This game is a turn based tactical RPG that can be downright unforgiving and we're starting to reach the point where Sep7 people are going to be kicking the bucket. 3123

I should probably let everyone know that we're going south of the border. Two blacksites popped up in South America and we need to destroy them. Pull out your sombreros everyone cause we're clearing Mexico and heading straight into New Brazil.

Mission 12: Disabling Enemy Communications
With Das still in the hospital it was decided to give Ender the role of squad leader due to her rapidly increasing kill count and knack for flanking the enemy. For this mission she put together a team of herself, Baconshelf, Neko, Luci, and the newcomer Azure. The team was deployed to a little town on the outskirts of Seattle. Spoiler Upon arriving Ender lead them stealthily through the town until they came up on the objective. Unfortunately multiple patrols were hugging the abandoned house in which the relay was situated in, not to mention the automated turrets sitting along the roadway. Ender motioned her team into their positions. Everyone save for Baconshelf was to go into over watch and keep their guns at the ready for the inevitable rush of enemies once Bacon had completed his hack of the nearby turret. After a few moments the blare of an alarm sounded success. The turret was disabled and multiple advent came streaming out of the house only to be cut down by a hail of bullets. Spoiler As soon as the final one fell the team rushed up into the next set of cover and prepared for the next wave while Ender snuck around the side to destroy the relay. Spoiler After a short, but intense firefight Ender was given the opportunity to destroy the relay with her mag shotgun. However as if seemingly on cue a viper emerged from bushes and burst through the window to strangle her. Acting quick Baconshelf immediately sent out his combat drone to shock the sneaky snake, freeing Ender in the process. She jumped through the window in order to get some distance between her and her enemy before wheeling around and filling it with a blast full of high velocity super heated lead. She wasn't out of the woods yet though as a sectoid ran around the corner to attack Enders exposed back. A moment of fear Two loud bangs And then a blood-curdling scream followed by the thud of what could have been her killer. Spoiler Mission Results All enemies KIA Enemy communications relay destroyed Zero friendlies KIA Four friendlies wounded Mission success 3130

Yeah, Das took you along for the first Blacksite mission. I did like three missions before an 8 hour shift so I barely remember what happened during them so no updates for those. The only thing I can really recall is that they were a terminal defense and two vip rescue missions. Also Ender nearly killed Neko during one of them due to sectoid mind control. 3131

But the last one didn't do too well on consoles so it made more sense for them to spend as much effort making the PC version as good as possible and then consider porting it to consoles later on. I remember reading an interview a while back where they said they were open to a console port, but for now they're focusing on the PC because it's got the horsepower to essentially make XCOM 2 the way they want it to be. Also it doesn't really retcon the ending, it just makes the bad end canon. 3135

Updates are going to be quick run downs until I get to where I was unless something cool goes down during a mission.
Mission 7: Eastern US Blacksite Cleared Das took a squad comprising of himself, Luci, Bacon, Neko, and Prime to this one. Spoiler Spoiler Once the compound was breached Neko took it upon himself to carry the objective like always. Spoiler After retrieving said objective the 5 of them left the compound and positioned themselves in an area where they could easily gun down the reinforcements as they tried to disembark from their dropships. One the enemy lay dead at their feet they called in for evac and escaped before more could show up. Mission Results 22 enemies KIA Zero friendlies KIA 4 friendlies wounded Blacksite vial retrieved Mission 8: Retaliation With much of the squad wounded from the last mission SuperIrish had to assemble a B-team to tackle this one. The people he chose were Big Boss, Luci, Sandtrap, and Incan. It was a pretty standard rescue the attacked settlement operation. Other than Incan deciding to mano y mano a muton and coming out on top, Luci was able to crit one of the faceless before it could pulverize Big Boss. Spoiler Mission Results All enemies KIA Zero friendlies KIA Three friendlies wounded Resistance settlement defended 3137
YouTube Looks like it wasn't actually removed, they just got rid of the tedious head patting minigame and skipped straight to the end conversation/text/voice blurb. Which I'm personally fine with because that was the bit I cared about anyway. 3138

So the game didn't explain the difference between radio towers and resistance communication towers until the avatar project was about to be completed. Therefore I'm going to have to go back a few hours to a point where I can avert the path we're currently on. I normally don't save scum like this, but because it was the fault of the game not giving clear instructions and not explaining the new mechanics I'm going to do so.
As compensation here are pics of you guys fighting the alien menace. Spoiler 3147
