I've skipped what is probably a shitfest in most of the thread.

Good luck going back there.
You're a funny person.

It's actually been a discussion on what can be done to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future for the most part.

Great timing with our recent drama. That'll give a good impression.

EDIT: Cheat I hate to say I told you so, but when we first started considering an Anarchy board I believe I said it would tear this place apart. If you still want to do it it needs to be forced Anonymous all the time.
Or how about instead of no rules, we keep the rules about bashing other members in place there? Nobody wants to be a target, I think I would know.

I'd be fine with that too.

This place is becoming a festering pile of shit...

At least the drama here isn't as bad as real life. Nevertheless, I'm considering a similar departure. The circlejerk is a bit too strong at the moment, alongside of the almost nonexistent logic towards some situations.
this is the third time I've seen someone in this thread mention a "circle-jerk." what the hell are you guys even talking about?

There is a group of like minded users here that dislike another group of users here. The former group feels like they've scored a "victory" against the latter with the recent drama fest that honestly should not have gone on as long as it did.

I'm taking a strong stance on the gloating they might do as I said before this latest Anarchy that this kind of leakage bullshit would not be tolerated.

Also @Elagiac Stop it.

This thread will be locked. Next time you'll receive a warning for trying to drag this drama out.

The Flood / Re: Sup Fate/Flood, Check Out What I've Got
« on: October 06, 2014, 05:33:26 PM »

Alright a bit of an update. I believe I've complete the first route of Hollow Ataraxia. Nearly all of the extra scenes in it were slice of life written by guest authors. I have to say the overwhelming amount of non-main story related bits written by bad-average writers really drug the whole thing down a bit. By the time you get to what's supposed to be the SoL breather for the main story you're so worn out by the rest of the extra SoL stuff that you just don't care and end up skipping through it.

My advice for people who haven't read it yet is to only read the extra bits for the characters you like, it's what you're supposed to do anyway since it's a fandisk first, continuation of Fate/ second. For those of you who want to see everything though my experience for the extra stuff went like this.

Spoiler
Lancer: Consistently solid stuff, I enjoyed all of his extra scenes

Rider: Hit or miss

Saber: Hit or miss

Archer: Doesn't really show up that much

Caster: Hit or miss

Assassin: Doesn't show up that much

Beserker: Doesn't have any extra scenes

Gilgamesh: Hit or miss

Issei: Forgettable for the most part

Ayako: Hit or misss

Kuzuki: meh

Rins Friends: Filler that feels like filler

Illya: Hit or miss

Sakura: HOLY FUCKING SHIT THERE WERE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY ENJOYED COOKING WITH SAKURA!?!? THE ENTIRETY OF HER EXTRA SHIT IS PRETTY MUCH "COOKING WITH SAKURA 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO"!!

Rin: Suffers the most from guest writers. She's pretty much written as a generic tsun in most of her shit.

Caren: Doesn't get any extra stuff because she's main story only. Which is good because guest writers probably would have fucked her up somehow.

The main story for this route I have no problems with. It's actually fairly enjoyable. Decisive Battle was pretty good at showing off what a post F/SN Shiro can do. For context it's a fight with Shiro and Saber vs Archer. Spoilers ahead.

Spoiler

Basically Shiro uses a command spell to make saber "fly" directly at archer a second after he fires Hrunting from his bow. In order to make sure he doesn't die from the shot while saber is "flying" at him he projects Rho Ais to defend himself.

Other than that there were a couple other spoilerific scenes that I enjoyed.

Spoiler

Like the fight between Bazett and Lancer which essentially ends in their mutual death for that cycle.

And while what prelude to the ending was a bit cheesy with the whole "everybody is fighting" trope where all of the masters and servants who were passive end up taking up arms against the shadow beasts in their own areas it did produce a moment where Gilgamesh decides he's had enough of their annoying bullshit and decides to use Ea on them.

Spoiler

The ending itself though was something I very much enjoyed.
Spoiler
There isn't a big battle at the end, it's a conversation between Bazett and Angra Mainyu. Bazett wants to keep the fake grail war in which everyone is trapped in an endless four day cycle because she's scared of having to face the real world. She wants to lose herself in this fantasy because even though she tries to keep up the appearance of having a cold and tough exterior, inside she's little more than an scared little girl who doesn't want to deal with the consequences of her actions  She would much rather endure an eternity of a meaningless repetitive cycle where everything is reset at the end of four days than to be forced to move on to that fifth day and progress through the rest of her life.

However Angra Mainyu manages to convince her to let him pass so that he may fill the gaps in his fake grail and bring the whole thing crashing down so that not just him, but the both of them can finally progress through their lives, so that the actions they take will finally have meaning.

Though in Angra Mainyu's case, he'll only be returning to the void.

The UK
Rare, MS studios, Rockstar, Hello Games, the list is absolutely endless

Sprug, Rare sucks shit now and so does Rockstar. Hello hasn't made anything of worth as of yet and we don't even know if No Mans Sky is even going to be good.

I'm struggling to think of what the MS studios in the UK has even put out, but their headquarters is in Redmond Washington.

The list of good developers in the US and Japan is much longer.

The list of good UK studios is long, and Japan? Seriously, they have very few decent devs left now, as unfortunately console and PC gaming is dead there

lolwut
Don't lolwut me, surely you know how dire it's got for console and PC gaming in Japan over the last few years?

The list of good devs there still exceeds that of the UKs. Just take a look at all of the studios Nintendo and Sony has under them as first party ones. Then you've got a bunch of other ones under publishers like Capcom, Namco, Bandai, et cetera.

There's no shortage of good gaming devs in Japan. The home market may be shrinking, but the foreign one is growing tremendously.

I'm all for the Youtube Idea, reviewing games and doing walkthroughs etc.

We need someone with video editing skills, someone who's good at speaking and anyone with capture cards prepared to upload footage on a regular basis.

>tfw you don't need a capture card on a PC

>tfw PC can't run Shadow of Mordor properly.

But it can. It's just it was terribly optimized and shouldn't require the specs it does.

Also if you plan for this place to get big, Anarchy will probably have to go at some point.
Why? The way I see it, Anarchy is our main draw.

In a word, advertisers. If this place gets big then you'll get a bunch of newer people who are unaffiliated with Bungie.net. Think an IGN or Giant Bomb.

How would it look to potential advertisers and investors if it was widely known that both of those places had unmoderated sections in their forums where users could pretty much post anything except for child porn? They wouldn't have gotten nearly as far as they have today.

Whoa, what the hell? We're NOT allowed to post child porn? I really have to reconsider being here now...

I'm sorry Camnator. I know little boy booty was your thing, but it just can't happen here.

That's what passes for a fracking essay nowadays? Well frack me, I had to write 10 page essays with a 4 paragraph thesis in uni, and that was the minimum..

Depends on the school. There's no way that short thing would fly in my college.
