Didn't they censor Gamer Gate conversations? What was that all about?
If deciding that #GG doesnt exactly have a proper board it falls into and saying that it should move offsite is "censorship". The people who are saying 4chan is dead are grossly exaggerating. The place hasn't really changed at all and if anything it actually improved both 4chan and #GG.
A good chunk of the sperglords seem to have left with the #GG crew and now that #GG is no longer associated with 4chan its image has improved quite a bit.
I actually think moot made the right decision on that one.
What was the whole issue with Gamer Gate exactly? Wasn't it related to gaming journalists and devs sleeping with one another for perks and conflicts of interest? The whole issue has just become a mess of conflicting opinions and accusations it seems.
Gamers found out that there were both romantic and monetary relationships between journalists (Zoe Quinn) then the jounalists had a hissy fit and called their biggest viewers, the gamers, a "Dead" group. They then started censoring people and the SJWs started attacking any and all gamers as soon as they bring up a discussion. #GG is created, claiming the gamers, who are fighting against corruption in the industry, are misogynistic for doing so. SJW in full force, NeoGaf bans all discussion, Moot BANS GG discussion on a forum built upon being able to say whatever the frack you want. this pisses people off, they do a bit of mining and find out that moot is a SJW fag. Gamers then find out about the mailing list that Journalists use to collaborate on articles and to push agendas.
One thing though. forum built upon being able to say whatever the frack you want. This was never true. If you think it is you're either a newfag or buying into newfag stupidity. Also if Moot was an SJW you wouldn't have half the boards you do on 4chan and both /pol/ and /b/ would have been gassed long ago.

We've got some #GG threads in gaming that are pretty comprehensive iirc. You should also check out the Internet Aristocrat videos on it as well. I've been out of the loop for a bit so I wouldn't be the best person to explain it to you.
