Obviously they need to be able to prove that they thought lives were in danger after using lethal force. I don’t think anyone here would say resisting arrest could warrant capital punishment. People should also be aware that their own negligent behavior could lead to a cop believing they’re in danger.

Weird alien shit in the new Star Wars:
- Rathtars in TFA
- Tentacle monster in Rogue One

Seems to be a pattern here. Wonder what weird alien shit will be in Ep 9.

Ah yes, the family-friendly franchise known as Star Wars has a scene where one of the most iconic characters in the franchise milks a 4-tit alien creature. Totally not weird at all for anybody, especially entire families with little kids watching.
If he just milked the alien and then walked away I wouldn’t have any problem with it. It was him drinking it and the reaction shots that killed it.

Well one thing I've heard is it doesn't go the way you think it will. Just like Luke said in the trailer. So that sounds good to me. My friend said he liked it but wouldn't call it amazing. Saying he felt things TFA was building up too are just handled too easily and thrown out. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'll have to see it first.
I feel like everyone is going to talk about those plot twists when discussing the movie, but I don't really feel like there's a good movie around them. It's like when say they liked Rogue One but only bring up how good the Darth Vader scene was.

Spoiler I agree with a lot of critics that I still need to process it a bit more or see it again but it’s less of a “idk if I liked that or not” and more of a “idk if I hated that or not”. It seemed like every scene had something dumb that would take me out of it, like you mentioned. Every storyline was weak and uninteresting for me. I started getting invested when the twists started happening but they don’t really do anything interesting with them and the story is almost weaker afterward. So IMO it’s a bad Star Wars movie with some bold ideas that don’t really help it. I also felt like he kind of screwed over the writers for the next one. The characters are all pretty much in the same place they were at the end of the last movie but now there’s no potential for anything interesting to happen. They might as well had just wrapped everything up in this one.
