Just trying to point out that we're criticizing a particular group by referencing the actions of separate groups, in which this would otherwise probably be a solid thread.
Um. . . Where?
We're criticising both the insurgency, specifically its snipers, and militant Islam in general. I'm not exactly seeing the conflation here with any other group.
Well if we're just bunching them all together then there's not really a problem, but I thought the discussion was specifically about the insurgents that Chris Kyle fought.

Another way to look at this is how the US military likes to turn turn tales like his into propaganda stories. Just conveniently leave out the things that should have any decent person outraged and hype up the heroics, and you have the basis for another recruitment drive.
It's not the first time they've turned a military horror story into pro-war propaganda.
Hey, at least we don't behead journalists and use it as recruitment material.
Did the Iraqis do that before ISIS?
AQ specifically.
So not the Iraqis that Chris Kyle was killing, specifically.
What's your point? Nobody's a Chris Kyle fanboy here.

the other two sequels aren't canon in this universe
Oh really?
They are canon, just fairly irrelevant [the third movie is actually completely irrelevant as of now] as they're dealing with Site B. JW is back to the original island.
Ah, the premise for the film made me think JP was the only canon movie in JW.

I can confirm. I picked up tNotW and liked it quite a bit so I picked up the sequel but I got busy and stopped reading it. I need to start it again.

Everyone on here hates it because you have a finite supply of cash and you actually have to play the game to make money that might not last you long if you spend like a retard. As long as you don't see playing missions as a chore, you should be able to have fun with it.
I'm not opposed to doing missions as long as it isn't just the same thing over and over again.
There's like hundreds of different missions but not as many that will get you any decent cash. There's plenty of different ways to play and different teammates with different play styles so it shouldn't ever feel repetitive.

Why would I give myself up for ugly earth girls when there's 100's of billions of other planets with hotter alien babes to lay?
Your sexual organs would not be compatible and you would likely get some kind of alien std.

I'm already pissed-right-the-fuck-off enough that they completely cut out Aegon and Jon Connington's stories from the show,
wat Are you sure? How could they?!
Fans have been assuming the worst for months now since we didn't see Lady Stoneheart at the end of season 4, Arianne and Quentyn seem to have been cut, and they haven't announced any casting for characters like the Greyjoys or the Griffs. They referenced the Golden Company twice in season 4, so I thought for sure they were trying to get that name out there for it to be relevant in Season 5. But with that line by Varys, it seems that the character's been cut (because Varys is pretty clearly NOT team Daenerys in the books). If it was just one of those cute little nods to the source material and then they decide not to include them, that would be pretty dirty.

People clapping at the end. Does this really happen?
Not really but this is a limited release and many of those people probably went just to see that trailer.
You're the second person I've seen point that out. Why is it a big deal?
Who are they applauding? The actors? Directors? If they're not there to see it then what's the point? You wouldn't do it at home. Though maybe it's just American culture. I heard they clap when their flights land too, which is just as bad since you're praising someone for doing their job.
I dunno, it was probably just their way of expressing excitement. Like I was getting at, these would be the most hardcore fans at this screening so it's not likely that they would have just sat there quietly after the trailer. I've never watched a movie in the theater and the audience applauded when it was over and I've never heard of people clapping after a flight.

Let's hope it rights the wrongs of last season and D&D don't go overboard with the appealing to the masses bs that Season 4 was full of.
Hard to tell. Looks likes the story's going to be condensed a ton starting this season.
