What I want you to take away from the video is that he very clearly is a strong contender for the White House. This is all I wanted to know. I'm not sure if you have me confused with another member but I've never said anything in favor or against Cruz because I don't know much about him. I'm just saying that the guy in the video managed to lose me within the first couple minutes. I'll keep watching though.

You guys should look on the bright side, at least no one is stupid enough to deny climate change in this thread.
You can't just diss our boy PSU like that...

"A comprehensive vision of what the constitution should stand for":
-"Lowering the barriers between church and state" -"Allowing prohibitions on abortion" -"No recognition of rights for gay people" -"Deevolution of power from the federal government to the states"
What are you wanting us to take away from the video, because I only made it to the opening question and I already don't think he'd be fit to lead this country?

And in some Black Helicopter-type scenario (which is what you're probably thinking of), the US would most likely cut out mass media (which is incredibly easy to do), so the population would be deprived of information. And information is power as we all know.
>internet
You do realize how easy it is to blackout the internet in a single country, right?
There goes the entire information network.
It's not something I know much about, but is there no way around a government blackout?

500,000 to a million angry redneck insurgents with shotguns.
Why are you spreading propaganda against a force that doesn't even exist? Are you in the military?

The US military has prepared for literally every contingency, even a goddamn Zombie Apocalypse. What gives you any idea that some crappy conspiracy theorist militia could take down the strongest military on Earth?
Because the U.S. military is composed of those crappy conspiracy theorists and relies on them for funding.

Those incidents happen far less than with guns. Link pls. And gun laws are a big debate in the US right now, so yeah.
Kind of my point.

The reason it was made (to combat oppressive governments) has never been invoked a single time in the history of the US. That must mean it can never happen.
Even if it were to happen, it's not like civilians have the firepower to stand up to the US military. Good luck using your handy shotgun against tanks, helicopters, and drones.
Explosives and computers can take down two of those. We also outnumber them.

Why are there never any of these threads about kids who steal their parents cars and then hurt or kill people?

What about ordering schools on a federal level and making climate change questions a part of Common Core?
Honestly, that sounds ideal (especially to this FEMA stuff), but it's already been pointed out that conservatives think the Common Core is some liberal agenda to indoctrinate our children. And who knows how they'll somehow turn it in their favor?
shit sucks
God I hate the far right.

Is Star Wars even a reboot? I mean it's a continuation of the original series, not a complete redo
Neither of them are reboots wtf even is this thread?
Wouldn't you consider a 10 year old gap and a 30 year old gap a long enough period for the next movie to be a reboot? Mad Max was pretty much dead until this movie came along. Nothing besides a NES game was being done without after Thunderdome.
But they're both still continuing the original story.

lets be honest, LSH was an asspull anyway, who cares if we never get her. RIP in peace Jaime, Brienne, and Brotherhood without Banners storylines. I'm sure GoT writers will do great without following the source material.

I think Aegon /will/ be a major player in the books. Looking at the photos on the site, I honestly think that in the show Trystane Martell is going to be revealed as Aegon. Look how fucking pasty he is compared to Oberyn, Doran, and the Sand Snakes.
Either this or he will just take the role of Aegon, since Aegon will probably ally with the Martells in Winds.

Alright, if denying FEMA funding to them isn't the answer, what is?
Order schools to educate their students about climate change. Encourage rival media outlets to go after conservative sources that try to deny or downplay climate change.
Basically do whatever we can to educate the remaining climate change skeptics so these idiots stop getting elected.
That's what's happening, but it's moving at a snail's pace. As in the case of Texas, climate change deniers have tried to change the curriculum to cast doubt on the veracity of climate change. A similar situation happened in West Virginia. There's very little indication that climate deniers have plans to stop anytime soon. Even universities are pandering to climate deniers. The biggest major news network in the country constantly touts the climate denial perspective. A current member and former chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works receives money from BP. Climate deniers actively attempt to discredit their opponents. (And that's just one example.) Good luck finding a GOP candidate who hasn't tried to cast doubt on climate change.
Climate denial is deeply ingrained in our society, and there's no sign of it going away. Worst case, trying to discredit them will just encourage them to play the victim card, and it'll work just like it always has. There's a strong wave of anti-intellectualism at play here. And a lot of it's not even about 'ignorance,' but about pushing an agenda because there's money in doing so. It's clear that no amount of disasters such as hurricanes will change their minds. How much longer will we wait to do something about it?
What about ordering schools on a federal level and making climate change questions a part of Common Core?

I can't even imagine how that'd be possible. It's hard enough juggling joke classes while being an NCAA athlete.

It's an interesting sentiment, and it may even be true, but I think issues in African American culture are a bit more complex than immigrants and other minority groups face, and thus harder to fix than by having a bidding war between politicians. And in the case of politicians, it's one thing to say you're going to do something, and it's another thing entirely to be willing to take action and have a plan.
I also find it fascinating that some of the members here that will "strongly agree" are also the ones that might "strongly oppose" Affirmative Action.

Is this really just a retort against people claiming America is stupid?
This seems to be about as deep as all his videos that I have seen.
If that's all you get from his videos you're pathetic.
I didn't even watch the one in the OP.
