I can give you guys actual reasons why the website is dying in terms of interactivity, but nobody likes or ever liked Deci so its best that I don't share it.
Could it be because we're a niche community that has nothing to draw new members?

Surprisingly the most online ever for this site apparently was September 19 or something of this year.

The Flood / Re: Joker movie (2019) - - - no mass shootings yet

Well what I thought was going to happen didn’t happen so I’m not sure how this warrants controversy. I was really enjoying the first 2/3 of the movie and then thought it all started to crumble once he becomes the Joker. I’m honestly not sure what they were going for in some places but I’m pretty sure they failed.

I’ll say 6/10 for Joaquin and the cinematography. Can’t wait for Joker 2 since WB has no idea what to do with these properties.

It was really solid and I’m glad they made it. I was a little underwhelmed when it was over but you have to look at it more as an epilogue to the show rather than a feature film.

Pretty crazy, as soon as I finished the movie I read that Robert Forster died. RIP.

I'll have to check it out, but if what I'm guessing happens is what happens then I kind of get the controversy tbh.

Still don't know much about the plot but I'm sure it will be great. Better Call Saul does really well on its own without indulging on Breaking Bad nostalgia.

I can make one if there is a demand for story time. It definitely would warrant its own thread because it was one wild ride and that bitch tried to do some insane shit to me (and failed fantastically).

is there a thread for this?

I’ve never been to one. I thought it was just a black people thing.

i've never seen such a meme tier fast food spot have cult appeal like that
Canes is pretty overhyped for how bland it is but I’m not sure if they even exist outside of Ohio.

OP: I used to keep silverware, pans, and paper plates in my room when I had to deal with difficult roommates.

In seeing a lot of people who - not here specifically - will discuss what political statement was made when something like this happens, I'll just say that I find it preferable to not give mass shooters the dignity of politicizing them beyond their philosophical violation of human rights. I think that if your idea of accomplishing political or religious goals is by means of massacring innocent people, you simply aren't worth listening to beyond how long it takes before we can figure out what exactly is going wrong in your sick mind. Because I don't believe that people who think it accomplishes anything are in touch with reality.
What if the attacker was clearly influenced by political groups?
Arguably, I've already addressed this question. But I don't know because the stated query is vague. Please elaborate.
Looks like Flee pretty much covered anything I would have said. It would be irresponsible to dissociate the shooter from their ideology when the ideology has such impact on their actions.

Not sure if you guys have seen this already but I can't recall there ever being a thread or anything on it. I was watching a couple "creepypasta" type videos over the weekend and just found this in my recommendations:

Cameo by Jive @5:32

Turns out Clockman was actually real the whole time.

And here's the actual clip:

Movie of the Decade: Blade Runner 2049

I struggled coming up with much for this category. It does seem like there's less to choose from compared to previous decades. Not saying that the movies were worse, just safer.

Doesn't look like anyone's going to disagree with me on this one. 2049 ticked all the boxes for me and was the first movie in a while where I felt blown away while walking out. It kind of surprises me that it's become so popular on this forum: I saw it in an empty theater and two people in my party fell asleep through it.

Some of the other movies I could have listed were the Social Network, Inception, Django Unchained, the Wolf of Wall Street, and Nightcrawler.

Series of the Decade: Mr. Robot

I’m not sure if Breaking Bad even counts since it started in the previous decade but I still like Mr. Robot better, regardless. This seems like a show that everyone was raving about back in 2015 and subsequently forgot about; which surprises me because season 1 is an almost beat-for-beat ripoff of a very popular movie, whereas the next two seasons are more original while maintaining the same level of quality.

Breaking Bad is easily my second favorite show of all time and I don't think much else can compete. Every list on the internet has the same exact shows listed as the best (I just haven’t seen Sopranos or the Wire). BB is still the only show I've watched that finished without there being a significant dip in writing quality.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare miniseries’ with long-running shows, because we can see how many shows these days go downhill after only one season, so I'll say that Chernobyl and True Detective S1 are tied for best miniseries. I just started watching Better Call Saul last night, and it's pretty good so far.

Album of the Decade: no clue 🙈

Game of the Decade: Grand Theft Auto V

Like with albums, I don’t have much insight on this topic. It’d be like a guy that’s casually watched a handful of movies picking the best one.

I personally judge games by how much time I got out of it for the price. So games that I played for a couple days and never touched again are at the bottom. In this regard, both of Rockstar’s games stand out above all others. The Rockstar games have a massive amount of content and seem to have the longest playthroughs of any games.

I liked Red Dead 2’s story better but the multiplayer was pretty bad when I tried it. Despite all the criticism it got, I loved GTA Online and kept going back for years. I thought the game modes were really fun and not at all grindy like everyone said they were. I’m sure the only reason they did it was so kids would keep buying those shark cards (in game currency) but I personally never bought those and I really appreciated how GTA Online was updated for years and for free.

I'd like to give the Witcher 3 another try, since it's pretty widely regarded as one of the best. I've tried to play it a couple times but got overwhelmed. Aside from that, I just played through Dark Souls III for the first time a couple days ago, which is probably my favorite From Software game and the only one I've beaten. Trying to decide if I want to go to NG+ or buy Serkiro. I'll also give Skyrim an honorable mention.

Are the older seasons any good? I tried watching the first episode and didn't make it far.
