There were a few football teammates I had, specifically in the grade above myself, that were complete assholes. They were all stupid and sucked at football and I think they took their anger out on us underclassmen. They basically demanded respect from us while simultaneously treating us like shit and never wanting to help us or work with us. I can remember shoulder pads being thrown in the toilet, people being pushed out of their way during games because they were doing bad, and us being yelled at for no reason by them. I personally had stickers that I earned, peeled off my helmet and stolen. I know it was one of them.
I've obviously moved on since then and am not particularly angry at any of them still, but the way they treated myself and my teammates, I'll never forget. I'm sure PSU will see this and have something useless to say but I think my complaints are valid. 3460

Doesn't really relate to the existence of a deity. 3462

Religious organizations can be highly manipulative
Most Americans are highly influenced by propaganda Mainstream American media is a terrible place to go for information 3463

(spoilers)« on: May 25, 2015, 04:41:20 PM »Cleganebowl unconfirmed?>Still thinking the show has any indication on where the books are heading I doubt the accuracy of these statements considering how tight-lipped the actors have to be. Why all of a sudden is Brienne dropping major spoilers? Seems unlikely. 3464

Ad hominem and Strawman.
My favorite is when whoever I'm arguing with can't make a point without relying on either of these but still believes that they are correct. I know I need to stop posting on youtube comments but I can't. 3465

Serious / Re: What do you think of these "rights"?« on: May 21, 2015, 11:32:30 PM »Quote The right of prisoners to have the vote.Only if they'll be out before the next election. Quote The right of prisoners to have children via artificial insemination.No. Quote The right of individuals who promote hatred and intolerance to not be deported if their original country will not respect their human rights.Tough one. There clearly has to be a line drawn at some point, but I don't know what point that would be in this case. I feel like you're specifically referring to Arabian immigrants promoting terrorism, in which case I'd say get rid of them. Quote The right to not be sentenced to life in prison. As in requesting death instead? Sure. 3477

Serious / Re: Hillary Clinton had second secret email address« on: May 21, 2015, 02:12:19 PM »When it comes to priorities, for me personally it's simply the fact that you must have a stable and functioning economy before you can address social or environmental issues. I'm not saying they're unimportant, per se, merely that a rational expectation of and confidence in long-run prosperity and stability has to be there before you can realistically form policy about much else.I have the same philosophy. It's just that we have been in a state of recovery for years now and the economy is very functional for the time being. In my opinion, environmental concerns are what need to be addressed immediately. 3479
Serious / Re: Hillary Clinton had second secret email address« on: May 21, 2015, 09:33:16 AM »I'm talking about broad macroprudential policies, not microeconomic policies which affect a certain market.I see your point, but how much of and effect does the president really have on macroeconomics and why would stances on social issues and the environment be considered unimportant by comparison? 3480
Serious / Re: Hillary Clinton had second secret email address« on: May 21, 2015, 09:14:59 AM »Not really. . .How not? I think every Republican candidate is dead set on repealing Obamacare asap. |
