It was "meh" for me. Some cool ideas but very poor execution and little to no suspense.

It also amazes me how 20+ years later, the effects from the original still are leagues better.

Meh. With respect to Timm, I'd like to see some movies written by Paul Dini.

Seems like they have quite a lot to wrap up in one episode.

Not as punishment, but as a solution to a problem.
This.

Well, that's interesting. I wonder what could be on the Bastard Letter in the show because 90% of what was on the book's version would apply to the show. I'm just glad to see Jon won't be stabbed over the Wildlings like I said wouldn't make sense.
it could very well be similar to the version from the novels. "weve fucked stannis in the arse, BASTARD, and ive also been fucking your cousin sister in the arse, BASTARD, and you cant do anything to stop me, BASTARD"
I figured it will be something similar to that. I wonder if they'll make it clear who wrote the letter.

Gotta admit though, I'm not too excited for this episode after the last one which had the same writers/director.

The Iron Fleet says otherwise....

Can't wait to see the show butcher my homeboys next season.

Characters and groups are as powerful as the plot needs them to be. This is where the show has come to.

Though on the “inside the episode” feature that aired on HBO, creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff said they were ”shocked” to learn this information from author George R.R. Martin, implying that the burning of Shireen Baratheon is a joy book readers may yet get to experience in The Winds of Winter.
I'm convinced this information was highly fabricated and I can guarantee Shireen will not be burned in Winds.

I think my favorite part of the episode was when Dany, Hizdar, and Tyrion were discussing the psychology of the typical soldier and fighting for what they believe in...directly following the scene where an entire army stands by and watches a little girl, their princess, get burned alive.

Yeah Stannis gonna die. Don't want him to die but they've had him sink to this low, I see that as preparation for killing him off.

On a more important note, who /hype/ for Cleganebowl 2016 next season?
After burning Shireen I doubt Stannis will die this season now that the lord of light is with him.
>believing in god

lol
Except the lord of light clearly has a lot of power
The power to make Stannis into a complete zealot with as little evidence as possible, apparently.

In the behind the scenes they say GRRM planned it this way.
I don't believe them. Not joking, I really don't.
It's going to happen in TWOW
No it won't.

The Flood / Re: Jon Snow's fate in the show

I feel like it's basically been thrown in our faces all season that the little kid will be a part of it. Even my mom has picked up on it. A lot of us have also noticed the line from Sam when he said "Jon always comes back" as a sort of foreshadowing.

The thing that confuses me is that all season, Jon has made it very clear that they need to bring the Wildlings south of the wall to keep them from turning into wights. Yet the little kid has basically ignored this point because he doesn't think it's worth it. So when they come back with the majority of the Wildlings slaughtered and turned into wights before their very eyes, and they find out Jon's concerns were completely legitimate, just to have that kid will stab the shit out of him anyway? Because I truly doubt the bastard letter is going to happen. Ah well, probably just going to end up being another inconsistency to add to the list within show-canon.
