The Flood / Re: What does your name mean?

My family name is derived from a word meaning "Great cheif, world mighty". My first and middle names don't really fit me/are meaningless.

I figured this was going to be satire. If this is serious, I would recommend not starting with C++ if possible.

  • Marijuana - Ballot Initiative in Ohio would make it the 5th state to legalize recreational marijuana legal for adults over the age of 21, while authorizing ten locations to grow marijuana for sale. An alternate ballot initiative seeks to nullify this by adopting a ban on amendments creating monopolies.
Voted no just to piss my friends off.
That's kind of shitty tbh
yeah

Crossing the street to avoid a black guy and all that.
I'd say that's pretty overtly racist
He's referencing the subconscious impulse to cross the street when walking alone on the sidewalk on an empty street and seeing a black man coming to avoid possible confrontation that has been observed. Hardly racist at all.

The Flood / Re: Anyone ever seeded a lawn before?
« on: November 02, 2015, 03:56:53 PM »
I've seeded a couple times but literally all I did was scatter seeds on the dirt. When my dad had me do it at our house, we also covered the dirt with straw so it would grow faster. I live in Ohio so I get pretty consistent rain. If this won't work for you I'd recommend moving to a better state.

Hope this helps.

The Flood / Re: Why Are Group Projects a Thing?
« on: November 01, 2015, 10:52:09 PM »
I had to be a part of a group paper. Sounds weird but it actually went really well.
Group things are cool if they are graded individually and everyone does their part. I just think that it's too likely that, if you're assigned to a group with five other people, at least one person is going to try to literally do nothing but put their name on it.
Yeah. We have one guy that I suspect put maybe 30 minutes max into the project. It doesn't really matter though because it was so easy.

On another note, why are people voting Rand? I know you like him, but he won't see a bump anywhere.
He's the only one that didn't spew retarded shit

The sad fact is, I don't foresee him dropping til Iowa.
Keep in mind, he started off this race leading in the polls. He's not going to call it quits until he knows he can't gain it back.

I think Kasich's pretty much done. I don't think anything he's said tonight is going to land with Republicans and he's distanced himself too much from the other candidates.
Which is a shame because he brought up a lot of good points that people need to look at themselves about.
Agreed. I think on both sides, the the voter base is looking at candidates that are more extreme and the candidates that are closer to the middle are being ignored compared to past elections.

For Kasich specifically, I think he had some bad luck tonight. His strategy was to go on the offensive, which has worked wonders for Trump and Fiorina, on the one debate where all the other candidates decided they should stand up against that. I also think not answering a couple of the questions adequately was a poor decision as well.

Everyone had a strong moment except for maybe Jeb. It's hard to pick a "winner" here. I think Rubio and Fiorina made the most waves and will probably rise a bit in the polls as result. Other than that things should roughly stay the same. I feel very disconnected from the Republican voter base so my predictions probably aren't worth much but I can see Huckabee and Jeb falling in the polls a bit. I think Kasich's pretty much done. I don't think anything he's said tonight is going to land with Republicans and he's distanced himself too much from the other candidates.
