One is a direct representation of America, the legal system, and the government. What happens reflects on the nation as a whole.
But for this one, very crucial job that has several strong arguments against bringing in women?
It's the same exact thing. The military is a government job. You don't just stick to your principles when they re convenient for you.
I don't see why I would stubbornly stick to my principles if there was nothing but negative outcomes to be gained.
Equality is inherently morally positive, and morality supercedes earthly negative outcomes.
I just don't see how you can jump to this appeal to morality given the potential increase in death and sexual assault rates.

What was wrong with that one?
I didn't like how close it was to my real name, also I used it on various social media pages and was uncomfortable with people potentially googling my username and finding my forums profiles and vice versa.

If one demographic has access to a legal privelege, every demographic is entitled to it.
It's not a legal privilege, it's a specific job the the government specifically is looking for men to fill.

Kind of like if a tv show is looking for a female to fill a host position.
Not at all. Government jobs are legal privelges.

Game shows are private enterprises.
What makes them so different? Both are looking for people to fill a role to get the best results they can.

I just love how little importance conservatives place in social equality, even though it's literally the most integral cornerstone of a developed society.
It's such a superficial and inaccurate way to gauge societal equality. Women aren't entitled to be allowed in roles that could compromise its effectiveness.

And yes the military's efficiency should be considered by the government well before some pseudo-equality bullshit.

That is pretty cool

I first came up with my name after the b.next update (when you could change your name) and now it's my go-to username for various places. I kind of wish I came up with something more unique. I've been in a Youtube comment section with three other "Maverick"s all talking to each other. But I've been using it so long, I'm probably not going to change it.

Been kicking around the idea of an off topic thread that doesn't contribute towards post count that everybody can just post anything in as long as it doesn't break any of the really serious rules. This allows people to just carry on random conversations, post things they might not feel deserves and entire thread, image dump, et cetera. I'd need to talk to cheat about setting it up though and see if people would actually be interested in it.
I think this would just further kill incentive to make threads, if anything.

This is just fucking depressing at this point.

Your entire lifestyle is fucked up and the fact that everything you do revolves around improving your relationship status is wrong on so many levels. I can't believe that this is advice that needs to be given but set some goals for yourself and do some things that you enjoy. Make some friends or try to get back with your older friends if you ever had any. Your life isn't going to magically improve by getting a girlfriend and it's stupid that you still think it will after all these years.

Since you're just going to ignore this and only want tips for picking up girls I might as well give some. Midget is 100% right, it has nothing to do with your looks. Your personality turns off women and don't even bother trying to blame it on your job or living with your parents because it's not that. Nothing you've ever done has ever worked for you and what little advice you've taken hasn't worked either. If you want any substantial advice, you should really consider setting up a hidden camera when you do social interactions with women and posting the footage here because I guarantee this is the root of your problems.

This has to be the most overrated Marvel movie. I enjoyed it quite a bit but I wouldn't even call it one of the best Marvel movies, let alone comparing it to the most classic movies of all time.

When I was around 17, I got in a fight with my brother, for which I can't remember why. He was a pretty shit fighter but he was always a pretty big guy (for you). His strategy was basically just throwing wild haymakers which I was mostly able to avoid. My dad got in between us and then my brother hooked me in the temple. It hurt for a few days after that.

Just gotta point out that this last part isn't necessarily true. When chik-a-filet's more anti-gay stance became public, they saw a massive spike in popularity and had some of their most profitable periods in ages (over a 30% increase in profit during those few months), all due to increased support from others with the same opinion who went to eat there just because they were against gay marriage themselves. Below is a picture of the establishment the week after the whole controversy, with people lining up around the block just to support them.

And while I'm sure some businesses went bankrupt because of it, I remember several other instances where small businesses received a lot of support and tens of thousands of dollars in donations from people who were overjoyed by them 'resisting gay marriage' by refusing to serve gay weddings.
Fair enough. I was honestly not aware of this case. I would argue that societies opinion on LGBT issues has changed quite quickly over here in America since 2012, and I'd honestly be surprised to see a similar outcome today. It will only keep improving as time goes on.

A lot of people are stupid and hateful. That's just reality. And without getting into the particulars of this case, I do believe that sometimes governmental and legislative interference is necessary to combat and overcome that and protect human rights.
I agree with this. If there are situations like some have described on this page, where people are basically oppressed by society, legislation would be called for but I find it to be a bit of a stretch in the world we live in today. I take my position because I don't believe forcing people to take part in services that they aren't comfortable with to be the perfect decision.

I think we can all agree that businesses should not legally be allowed to discriminate against customers based on sex, race, religion, age, or disability.
I disagree with this. Being able to deny business seems like a pretty basic right for a businessowner to me, regardless of whether they're wrong or not.
Gee, it's almost as if we tried that already, which resulted in entire areas where certain people would not be served by any business, which is how we arrived at the need to have these laws on the books to begin with.
I figured you were going to take us back to Jim Crow with your response. We don't live in the '50s any more; it's not like your description is even plausible in today's society. The few businesses that deny services to homosexual weddings get ridiculed by the public and just put themselves at a competitive disadvantage. Seems entirely unnecessary to get the state involved.
What makes you think entire areas of the South wouldn't all refuse services to LGBT people, just like entire areas refused services to blacks?
Haven't these places already had these rights in the past? I can't recall ever hearing about a southern coalition come together to not serve the gays. In any case, public opinion of the LGBT group is vastly changing, and like I said they'll just get ridiculed and put at a disadvantage.
