I can't even imagine how closed-minded and stupid someone would have to be to believe that someone decided to write a script for a tv series, create and cast a black character, kill that character off in a way that forwards the plot, and all because they secretly hate black people. What kind of warped reality some people live in.
I've never actually run into criticisms like this but I've seen people complaining that there aren't enough black actors in a WW2 movie (which wouldn't be historically accurate) and Game of Thrones (which is supposed to be based on medieval Europe). Doesn't surprise me people like in the OP exist.

I'd actually be interested in a live-action adaptation of The Killing Joke.
There hasn't been a live action Red Hood movie yet, but it's been in other media a couple times lately. Also they're doing an animated Killing Joke with Mark Hamill and rated R.

You can pretty clearly see that there's going to be a big battle between the Boltons and the Wildlings which tells me they aren't avoiding revealing the plot and semi-spoilery content. So aside from this, what else is going to happen this season? Jon Snow is dead, Arya is with the Faceless Men, Bran is with Bloodraven, Cersei talks about dealing with her enemies, "The dead are coming". Not really seeing any groundbreaking plot advancements.

I'm reserving my judgement until I see the film.
I think the trailers have been decent so far, but nothing has really sold me on whether or not this will be a good movie. I appreciate how little they've given away about the plot within all the trailers but with four months to go I'm sure this will change.
There's plenty of potential for this to be great. Most of the characters have never been on the big screen so it should be a playground for anyone that appreciates the material. The director and cast is solid.
I'm staying optimistic at this point, although if it sucks, this will be DC's third strike for me and I'll have lost faith in the entire franchise.

They imply it by the fact that he was the only one capable of weathering the trench run. He only survived because Han Solo destroyed the TIE fighters on his back. All the training they had to go through as a Padawan just to use the force on a decent level, even Anakin needed training, what makes his son so special? Anakin destroyed a trade federation ship, without any training in the force or in flying, on accident... And survived, Yoda and Ben were practically assuming he was gonna he sent to the emperor. They didn't trust Luke to somehow escape. And he only escaped because Leia saves him. OP wants me to reference the books, but the fact of the matter is for his argument is that you shouldn't have to use external source material outside the story to understand it. As with your argument, what the Hell am I paying this movie ticket for if they aren't going to imagine for me? So you'd rather them show more training that we already saw in Episode V, only so we can see him mastering it now, instead of us just being told that's what happens? Even if that were the case, I hardly see how it can be used to prove he's a Mary Sue. He barely escapes his first duel with Vader, the biggest threat in the Galaxy next to the Emperor, and he derps away for a year and suddenly he's Vader's equal in VI? He was training for that entire year and Lucas has said that Luke is the most powerful jedi. The only flaw I can think of is rushing in to fight Vader in V, but it turned out it was a good thing story wise since he saved almost all of his friends, learned the truth of his family, and proved he was stronger than both Ben/Yoda and Vader thought he was.
He doesn't save his friends though, Lando did. While Luke's choices don't get anyone killed or anything like that, I can't think of a mistake he makes that conveniently moves the plot forward like Rey opening the cages of monsters which only kill the bad guys and lets them escape.

He's the best pilot for the Alliance None of the movies ever say this. He can use the Force after just learning of it that day to blow up the Death Star. When is it ever established that this is an implausible feat for a jedi? Even though he lost to Vader, he proved a point to Yoda and Ben that was capable of handling fighting a Sith on his own. But he lost..... He comes back in Return of The Jedi with all this new skill and power without ever showing us how he got to that point. So? Can't you just use your imagination? He needed fuck all training after his duel with Vader and he somehow is able to stand perfectly toe to toe with him. What? every flaw with luke turned out to be a good thing in the end. How?

I'm sure it wasn't intentional. I thought all of the new characters were weak except Kylo Ren.
They'll probably try to fix it in the sequels anyways.

Robert Downey Jr. already didn't really want to show up for Iron Man 3.
Yeah, I can't really find a reputable source for RDJ's contract. I remember he only agreed to do two other movies after IM3, but other sources are saying he's contracted for Infinity Wars. Same with Chris Evans. Most people believe CW is the last movie he's contracted for, and he once expressed interest in being done with Marvel by 2017, which is why most people think he's going to die. But now he's saying he'll do any movie Marvel wants him for.

This is how I imagine it. I expect Cap or Tony to die at the end somehow by HYDRA.

Most people I know that have taken a "semester off" either never went back or tried but didn't last. Just something I've noticed; although they seemed to have different reasons for it than you. If you're just legitimately burnt out and not questioning what you're doing or anything, then this could be a good move. Based on what you've said about where you're at in your classes, this would probably be a good time to take one. Just taking like two courses and going part time could also be an option unless you're not within commuter distance from your school.

the fact that 50% of people aren't born with terrible eyesight also doesnt do this point any favors
Then women aren't competent enough to to be an infantryman, by that logic. You can grasp at whatever straws you like, my comparison is valid. Also only 35% of adults have 20/20 vision.
