Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! started in January. It's been a good show thus far; it's pretty wholesome and inoffensive.

Honestly I don't want to watch Marriage Story because I know it's just going to stress me out.

I finished building the Zaku II FZ. It was pretty fun, but I slightly fucked up when applying the sticker to the mono-eye. It's very slightly positioned to far to one side and there's a tiny tear. Not too noticeable though. I really wish the mono-eye component was flat rather than rounded, if it was this might have been avoided.
I also picked up the recent HG Char's Zaku II from the Origin OVA series, and a set of panel line markers. Zakus are meh tbh, especially the RE/100, the proportions of it are all fucked, and snoots in general are a lame design. Kämpfer and Hygogg are where it's at doe. Eh it doesn't bother me too bad. Those are pretty cool mechs too. 282

The horror elements are in the form of the tension and anxiety that pervade the film's atmosphere. There's no jump scares or gore intended to shock. 284
The Flood / I started watching the Mobile Suit Gundam series« on: January 14, 2020, 08:55:04 AM »
I'm not really into mecha, but I started watching the Mobile Suit Gundam (Universal Century) series with a friend recently, and have found it surprisingly enjoyable. The story and characters of the various series have been enough to overcome my general lack of interest in mecha.
So far I've watched:
I've recently started watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam as well. I'm impressed that the series partly responsible for popularizing people fighting wars with giant robot suits has such strong anti-war themes. War in The Pocket was especially poignant. I enjoyed it enough to buy a model of the Zaku-II FZ featured in this series, I'll post pictures when I'm done building it. The Zaku and a couple other Zeon mobile suits are really the only ones that I find visually interesting enough to consider buying as models. I want to get Char's Zaku-II and maybe a couple other variants in the future. 285

1917 was really good. I didn't know about the talent behind it until the credits and I should've known Roger Deakins was involved given how gorgeous it was. Definitely a movie you want to see in the theater.
I really enjoyed The Lighthouse. I'm not a horror guy, usually, but this film is intelligent, well made, and more "horrific" in nature than the majority of horror imo. Pattinson and Dafoe are amazing. It's definitely a movie you want to watch in theater-like conditions (rather than on your phone or something) as presentation is a big part of this movie. 287

So much for judged not You were ranting about politics in a star wars discord server and it was bumming everyone out; I had received several complaints. I should have been more clear that I don't want people talking about that stuff, but I'm pretty sure I had asked you not to in the past. That isn't even touching on what those political statements were. 293
