Like I suspected, the problem is the image itself. Weird that it even happened in the first place.

Yeah I have no idea how that happened, it was fine for years.

243
But what is the utility of putting all other races into a single category separate from whites instead of just viewing each one as their individual race? That seems very weird to me.
for those contexts in which referring to non-white races collectively would be convenient, especially when whites are a majority

"black people need more representation in government" is one statement
"asian people need more representation in government" is another
"indigenous people need more representation in government" is yet another

you could say these one at a time if you wanted, or you could save time with a catch-all term such as "people of color"

Or you could use the established term "ethnic/racial minorities" when stating the need for greater representation.

244
off topic but the term "people of color" always sounded dumb to me.

Esoteric 4chan memes huh
if that's all you're going to give me, i can't be expected to give much back

and i'm much better at it, so why not
If you're gonna meme your way out of defending a milquetoast, haphazardly constructed film then might as well as respond accordingly, no?
do you know what milquetoast means, or is it just a word that you like to use? because you could justifiably use that word to describe TFA if you wanted—i would still disagree, but i'd be able to see where you're coming from, at least

what exactly did you find "milquetoast" about Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017)

it couldn't have been the film's uniquely aggressive and unwelcoming tone, or the relatively cutthroat script, because those traits would tend towards the opposite of that term you used
It's milquetoast for the wrong reasons whilst simultaneously being incredibly contrarian for also the wrong reasons.

Are you really trying to argue that the self serving, masturbatory "we just gots to save the abwused animals uWu" segment (which we've been subjected to in literally every garden variety disney film before) was narratively poignant in any way shape or form.

Then again, you just opined that TLJ is the best in the franchise, so it wouldn't surprise me if you did.

My favorite part about the save da animals scene is rose saying "this was the real victory" but they left all the little slave children behind

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying the groundwork that was established in FA was completely 180'd in TLJ, making the movie and the trilogy as a whole one big incoherent disconnect.
the most i can agree with this statement is that rian johnson's desire to stick it to the fanboys was markedly transparent over the course of the movie, but that's ultimately the main reason why i like it in the first place

beyond that, i'm not terribly interested in how the films cohere—i'm just glad that johnson did what he did, even if it TRoS suffered for it, because star wars fans are so insufferable that they had this middle finger coming for decades (besides, i think tragic stuff like the unfortunate passing of carrie fisher ultimately did more damage to the film than johnson's writing ever could)

Okay, but I'm sure that you'd admit that your sentiments are the result of spite on your part?

I liked tlj on release, but in hindsight I don't find it to be a narratively satisfying film.

Yeah I agree that BCS is better than BB. I think one of the things I like about BCS is that Jimmy is surprisingly a tragic figure. Saul was fun in breaking bad, but after watching BCS his scenes in BB kind of make me sad.

A tiny detail that I appreciated is the differing aesthetics of the three main law firms in the show. HHM's building was slick and modern, Davis & Maine had that single-story, southwest motif, and Schweikart & Cokely has a classic "old money" law firm vibe going on, with its padded arm chairs and dark wood interior.

finally, I have justification to continue work on my yaoi fantasy novel without paying heed to such accusations

I still occasionally read the message he had his friend forward to me after his passing. I think he had one prepared for everybody he felt close to when the time was right.

That half finished message still hits hard to this day.

He sent one to me. When I received it, I wasn't in a great place emotionally, and was pretty closed-off. Because of that his message and the sentiment it conveyed didn't really sink it, or maybe I didn't let it sink in.

Nowadays I'm doing better, but that makes it more difficult to think about. It upsets me that I wasn't receptive to his message when I received it.

This kinda helped re-invigorate work on my 40k projects. Yesterday I built another Sword Brother (veteran/squad leader) for my Black Templars kill team, which I have decided to dub "Super Sword Bros. Melee".

Part 5 released yesterday. The creator said that he may continue the series.

I'm still stunned by the quality of it all. Part 5 has some incredible shots

My god, Eternal is like Doom (4) on steroids and ten cups of coffee injected directly into the cock. I played it at Quakecon and that felt like it was faster. The final version is balls-to-the-wall. Doom (4) feels like a walk in the park by comparison.

My copy of the deluxe edition gets here tomorrow and I'm so hyped.

Ordered Animal Crossing, hopefully should be something to keep me busy that isn't endless Destiny 2.

hit me with that friendcode my dude, mine's SW-6863-5956-0779.
