I love how an atheist book thread got turned into 9 pages of vegan enemies.
So many gems. gg.

Congress legalised gay marriage
Time to learn the 3 branches of the American government again!

Eww, Naoto is a Jim and needs to kill himself too.
I mean I'm aware of a lot of things. I can't help it that I'm intelligent and worldly.

Welcome to the party. Glad you could make it.
Are you implying that you too have a mommy fetish and have watched Tara Tainton videos?
Merely that I'm aware of Tara Tainton's existence.

188
Glad I didn't bother with this one. Made for a fun read.
Most people seem to be on the same page anyway.  ;)

Every time I see their name all I can think of is that UVA rape story.
Quality journalistic outlet. /s
To be fair, didn't they follow up in an article and apologize to those unfairly judged?
Everyone else followed up on it, and they didn't punish or fire the journalist for fucking up.
They ran an article calling people rapists (when they weren't), without any evidence, and without interviewing the people they were accusing.

Don't know how you can be fair with that.

Congress legalised gay marriage
The supreme court did (thankfully). Good luck getting that shit through a conservative controlled congress.

So is this going to another Mighty Number 9? I heard that was kind of bad.
I mean action platformer vs open world rpg. Different director and artists.
Not sure on writers.

Guess is as good as mine on quality. Won't know until it happens. Don't think they'll reach their ps4 stretch goal :(

Goddamn I love puush.
You do realize we are talking about two different games yes?

They are publishing Red Ash themselves.

They've got a publisher, part of their budget should be coming from them. If you don't have the money wait until your other project goes on sale. Begging for more at this point is just plain taking advantage of people, I'm pretty sure that's not acceptable by societal standards.
??? They are publishing this game themselves what are you talking about?

i just don't like the idea on principle

if you can't fund your own shit, people shouldn't be expected to pick up the tab for you--and while they're not exactly forcing anyone to donate anything, they know people are going to at this point

i can't comprehend why anyone would spend their hard-earned money to fund a project that isn't guaranteed to be, you know, worth it

at least they made it a fixed funding campaign
Crowdsourcing is always a gamble. Not a massive fan of it myself, but you have to weigh the risk of wasting money to the chance to fund something new and worthwhile that would otherwise not happen.

Again no one's forced to donate. I'm just sharing the game because it looks cool. Should of put up a trigger warning I suppose.  ;)

he's right though
How so? Just because they have another game coming up soon doesn't mean they have the cash to make a new different game. Especially open world. Running a kickstarter to shore up your funds is not some great evil. If people want to support it they will and if they don't they won't. No need to rage, but I guess its the internet.

Edit - For the record these are the games they've made. Not sure which of these has them rolling in cash like you guys seem to think. Especially since they were all co-developed.
Spoiler

Yes fuck people for asking for money to make things. How dare they force people to donate.
They're a fucking a developer with a hyped game coming up soon. They should be using their own fucking money by now. Anyone funding this is a tool.
You seem upset.

Concept Art:

Quote
Beck: Male, 16 years old

A young boy who teams up with his partner Tyger, aiming to hit it big as Delvers. He is very dexterous and excels in using his fleet-footedness in battle, and adept at infiltration into the most heavily guarded areas.

His left arm can be interchanged with different types of tools and weapons, allowing him to adapt to any situation or terrain.

Quote
Tyger: Male, 30 somethin' years old
Beck's trustworthy partner. Although he has a rough way of talking, he also has a wise and level-headed demeanor that belies his tough appearance. He is an adept sharpshooter with incredible accuracy and precision, as well as a talented driver capable of operating a wide variety of vehicles and machinery.

He runs the T&B Company along with Beck.

Quote

Call: Female, 17 years old

A young girl who runs a rinky-dink shop called Bones Company inside Great Slope.

She's run the place on her own since her parents disappeared on her at the age of 10. She's poured all of her time and energy into protecting and improving the shop they left behind, making sure everything is in order just in case they ever come home... Also, she loves money. Like REALLY loves money.

This mechanic specializes in buying lost technology excavated by Delvers and breaking it down into scrap for her own custom weapon designs.
Call seems to have a very bright personality, but she is extremely strict when it comes to matters of money. She's a master bargainer, and never lets a single cent to go to waste.

Utilizing her technological know-how and information network, she has sent Beck and Tyger on a variety of strange missions over the years.

Quote
Gofer: Gender/age unknown

An autonomous A.I.-powered robot created by Call, and official employee of the Bones Company. Seems like it receives a salary, but no one knows the details.

Its face is actually a digital monitor capable of displaying a wide range of expressions or different types of information.
Looks really neat. Hope they get enough funding.

Jezebel
This explains a lot honestly. Gawker is the worst. I assume you saw Jezebel defending their outing of a gay man / participation in black mail recently?
I don't think I have ever purposefully visited Jezebel. I was just trying to think of the most liberal sites.

I don't actually get my news from there.
Aww. No fun.

I think most people have their issues. Its good that you're being proactive in taking care of it.
Just try not to stress too much over it. Its natural to have low points.

Personally I've dealt with my fair share of depression / suicidal stuff in the past. Over the years I've just learned how to deal with myself. Figured out what I wanted and how to move forward.

He's going to be the Jon Huntsman of this election. Somewhat sane guy who would appeal to moderates, but wont get any attention because the clowns are loose. The fact that Trump is leading by almost twice the percentage of the next guy (Jeb) should tell you all you need to know about the current state of the Republican electorate.
