The Flood / So I'm taking an indefinite sep7 break.
« on: August 11, 2015, 12:34:07 PM »
Just a heads up. I'll probably be on bungle or skype if anyone needs me.

Long story short woke up to find that 'new' rules had been applied to me that had not been applied to anyone else (or that particular gif) previously. My badoo avatar has been deemed unacceptable for this site (despite being an ad run on this site). When I asked why these rules were not applied to previously lewd avatars (loaf, waifu master, tru, etc. etc.), and for a detailed dresscode list for avatars, I've been met with either vague answers or no answers. Evidently these are new rules that were made last night.

Frankly I'm just getting tired of the inconsistent moderation and different rules being applied to different people. Really sucks the enjoyment out of this place. I get that this isn't a professional site or all that experienced of a staff. I expect a certain amount of this stuff to be learned on the fly, but I'm tired of asking mods questions and having to have them wait on Cheat to make it up off the top of his head. Its not enjoyable to watch some users get off on calling people 'cunts' in serious no issue, while another user gets a harassment warning for calling someone an idiot.

Stuff like this has happened consistently and the answers I've gotten for why different users are getting different rules have never been satisfactory. Usually the reasoning is that someone reported them because of muh feels, and so we're changing the rules arbitrarily for this person. I get we're trying to make this place more opening and acceptable, but at this point its steadily stopped being fun for me. Its become more of a chore guessing what the rules are going to be week to week. Its obvious that this stuff is being made up based on who's reporting what rather than what the actual rules say.

Cheat (and Isara) are solid site designers, but the community management here is amateur at best.

Like the community. Like the site. Tired of how its being run. Not enjoying myself because of that.

So that's all I have to say on that. I know this post will make a couple users in particular happy. gg to them. You're slowly getting the strict moderation you voted for.

peace.

What is even happening in those two dance scenes? Is the old guy holding back diarrhea?
The dancer class in FE is used to give units another turn or buff them.

He's the main villian and she appears to be hurting him somehow. The white dress is Birthright version. While black dress is Conquest.

I always want to mimic whatever accent the person I'm talking to has. Have no idea why.
Australians are the worst. Have to stop myself sometimes.

Actually really disliked LC and Lemin when I started out on bnet.
Probably up in my top tier users now.

Verby's improved. Didn't really know him till he got back from the 'perma'. Don't think we get along at all, but we've had our reasonable discussions.

Great idea stealing the stage from somebody that isn't even a bigot for your retarded protest which doesn't even go with the speech he is giving. I love the double standards they are using or implying. They're pretesting black lives matter but what about the other non-black lives that were lost to police bullshit? I take it black lives are the only ones that matter to these people?
They literally called everyone at the rally a white supremacist, and regularly boo anyone who says 'every life matters' (netroots conference). I think they're staking out their position pretty clearly.

The 4min silence for Michael Brown was weird. I'd think there are plenty of better examples of police brutality against blacks than a man committing a crime and attacking a cop. Then unsurprisingly getting shot.

But going by their actions none of it seems all that well thought out. They pretty much just wanted to scream at people. Bernie handled it pretty well I think.

Serious / Alleged BLM protestors hijack another Bernie Sanders rally.

Summary
Quote
A recap of what happened: As Bernie was being introduced by rally organizers, a few BLM protesters got on stage and demanded the mic. What appeared to happen was this: the organizer didn't want to yield the mic, but Bernie went ahead and told them to give them a chance to speak. Bernie stepped off to the side of the stage. The speaking protester brought up incarceration rates, gentrification, etc. in Seattle, and then asked for a four and a half minute moment of silence for Michael Brown. The crowd managed to keep quiet enough, and the moment of silence was held. The speaking protester then began to make accusations against Bernie, at which point the crowd grew very restless and wanted to listen to him speak. The speaking protester was approached by one of the rally organizers and managed to get the mic from her, and attempted to give it to Bernie. Bernie seemed to have wanted some kind of resolution to the protest before he spoke, and gave the mic to another person on stage who did not appear to be a BLM activist or a Sanders campaign person (I think she was a rally organizer). She began to speak on how everyone there is supportive of the BLM movement, and how there is an issue with incarceration of minorities. There were several discussions between the BLM protesters and the new person speaking, and it seemed that the BLM protesters were not going to leave the stage until they got another chance with the mic. After several side discussions with campaign workers and others, Sanders appeared to have come to the conclusion that he would not have the chance to speak at the rally, and decided to leave the stage and then made a long walk weaving through the crowd shaking hands with supporters. The stream then ended.

Its hilarious because Bernie literally marched with Martin Luther King. Yet they seem to be targeting him over Clinton or the Republicans. Curious.

Rally was originally set to discuss Social Security and Medicare.

I thought Slash did it too though. Also that was before the mods had clear guidelines on what they were and weren't allowed to do, when outing people is pretty explicitly against the rules.
Don't remember Slash's name ever coming up in that, and the 'clear guidelines' was always a poor defense. But that argument has been had and resolved.
Slash didn't necessarily reveal who was posting dick pics, but he was revealing anons who were posting things that should've been kept private. And it's a perfectly justifiable defense, whether what she did was shitty or not, because there were no rules saying you can't do it. The entire point of Anarchy was no rules, and we all knew that applied to the mods too.
Meh. Not gonna get into a giant debate about Kiyo's shenanigans. Really don't care. What's done is done, and I think it ended with the proper outcome.

I mean kiyo did out anon dick pics so its hard to be symp

Yeah, but at the same time, putting your dick up on the internet is about as smart as Kinder taking a picture of himself on the shitter.

And not even putting up your dick on an obscure site, but amongst a community of people that you frequent among.

Not saying both were justified but the whole thing was stupid to begin with.
Didn't say I felt sympathetic for them either. Just don't feel all that bad over the kiyo jokes itt.

Most of the people who storm off create a lot of their own problems. As for the 'lol trans' stuff its gonna keep popping up for as long as it gets the reaction it does. Dingo in another costume.

Way too many. I hate being stuck in a car for hours on end.
Teleporters when?
with modern technology, road trips are nowhere near as grueling as they used to be
Don't need to tell me. We drove to Montana once when I was a kid.
All I had was a coloring book....for multiple states.
