The Flood / Re: Your most radical belief?
« on: March 20, 2015, 06:04:09 PM »
In some, if not most, cases, it does.
Can you give examples of this?
he's correct in saying some moderates are fence sitters who can't pick a side or put value in constantly being middle of the road. But then takes that and extends it to most moderates and implies it's a bad thing on the whole.

All moderation is is weighing both sides of an argument and not being an ideologue. Though ideologues would obviously disagree.

The point is that people often use the term "moderation" to obfuscate their fence-sitting tendencies, because it's a nice cozy word that everyone likes to hear, and you're supposed to agree with it.

It's for pussies. And twelve-year-olds.

It's not difficult to pick a fucking side.
again implying moderation means not picking a side.

As it should be. Fence-sitting is one of the most insufferable things one could ever pursue.
Anyone who sees moderation as fence sitting, and therefore bad, lacks enough intelligence for rational discussion. Not that this needs to be pointed out with certain individuals since they make it abundantly clear to every community they enter.

I shouldn't have to point out that being moderate is not the same as fence sitting, but then you're just proving my point that moderation is often treated like a radical position by extremists.

Tough question. I'm generally pretty moderate and compromising by nature. Most of my 'radical'  beliefs like transhumanism stuff are generally things that won't effect my lifetime.

I suppose gamergate stuff gets treated like a radical opinion, but it's all pretty moderate and reasonable in reality. Same with muh atheism.

I genuinely can't think of one. I'm pretty boring and rational when it comes to political beliefs. I tend to despise extremists on both sides. Moderation gets treated like a radical notion often enough anyways.

Damn us horrible menz why can't we just stop being pro-rape.

Thank Allah there are these remarkable hipster douche bags to teach us morals via pad-light pole questions. They truly are making a huge difference in the world, and are totes not just acting like a wakadoo in the street.

On mobile so can't type for shit until I get a new laptop. So ignore spelling for like a month or two.

Gonna be stuck with 30fps since it's open world. Not much can do there.

You do have to use abilities or power attacks to do any real damage. Dragoon Jump and thrust take some good chunks away if you can land them. Otherwise ye you just chip at em. The cave was a nightmare. Way too many enemies with poison constantly drawing health. The ghost swords helped. But you still blow through all your potions.

Still hate those wolf things the most tho.

Didn't mind the voice acting either. Prompto is definitely the most annoying personality wise.

I think the demo tempered my expectations without dashing my hype. Got the combat down, but it took a while. Just want them to move that camera back a bit, and put some holes in those rock walls.

I couldn't really care less. So far I'm enjoying the game.
Its a relatively minor part of the game, and I'm still enjoying the game despite it, but it still annoys me to no end. Especially knowing that it was the localization team that did it rather than translate correctly.

Feeling pretty good about the game. Has a few negatives. Combat takes some getting used to. I'm a fan of the turned based games so this was a bit of a change. The camera needs some works. Very easy to lose faster enemies in combat, or get caught on allies in smaller spaces. Can get frantic and frustrating at times when you're still learning the flow and your team is getting slapped around. That and poison is a major bitch.

The only other negative is the mountain region and the long rock walls that force you to detour for half an hour across the entire map just to get to a point on the otherside. Very annoying. The plains and marshes are much better.

Game is fun and gorgeous though. Once you learn your moves the combat gets a lot smoother and less button mashy. Summons are AMAZING.  :o Holy shit. Ramuh rekts everything nearby including the forest.

Also Cindy is best gurl.

From here just gonna finish up side quests and find the easter eggs. Got type-0 to play through and still need to wrap up X and X2 HD.

The joke isn't 'preordering is bad'. The joke is that they're asking you to preorder something based on nothing but two letters. You have no idea what a NX is.

Definitely venison. I have yet to rationalize why we aren't breeding deer on farms like cattle.
Pretty much what some hunting areas are really.
Meat tastes better wild anyways. Leaner and more muscley.

I'm fine with this. The gba4ios emulator kicks ass on the iPhone for playing Pokemon ROMs, so I would expect this thing to work the same or better.

Not big on my list atm, so pobably not. Other shit for me to play.
Possible I might change my mind tho.

Maybe

It's a maybe for me too. I'll need a decent number of people to play with to get it
I really have zero time for mmos, and if I did I'd want to get back into FFXIV.
