The Flood / Re: Do you own any weapons? (Knives, guns, etc.)

A couple multi-tools and folding knives but no real weapons. Used to own a Glock, but that's it.

The Flood / Re: Saying Black vs African American
« on: January 28, 2016, 11:31:18 AM »
I don't use the term African American unless the person I'm talking to specifically asks to be called that rather than 'black', which has only happened once.

pursue something designed to facilitate our making better-informed decision

I think you're getting too caught up in this concept. Science isn't about getting as much information as possible, and the many unethical experiments throughout history are notoriously ineffective in finding meaningful answers. I'm really just struggling to understand what kind of experiments you're even talking about; you've been extremely vague about the particulars of your question.

It's good to finally see less Yharnam-y environments.

How would you like to have the experiments the Nazi's were doing done to you or someone you care about?

But, it seems to me, if we're willing to accept some margin of error in pretty much any routine government function it's not particularly rational to consider how I would personally like it if I fell into the group poorly done-by due to said errors.

Why are you equating adverse effects of these hypothetical experiments to 'some margin of error'?

You know what else isn't weird in the east? Forcing women to wear veils, stoning them for suspected adultery, having sex with 9 year old girls,

None of this has anything to do with Japan, though.
"the east"

Asia

None of that has anything to do with Japan

And Japan is the country of topic

You can't just ridicule Japan because they happen to in the same hemisphere as Muslim nations.

Not anymore... are you my little sister. I want to touch you...
NOPE NO CENSORSHIP REQUIRED AT ALL

I want to nuke this planet, and everybody in it! :D

Serious question to anyone that knows about this issue: why would this be in the game? The rest is mostly harmless JRPG sexbait but the sister thing isn't just a glitch or something, they actually wrote suggestive dialog.

Everything there is pretty good apart from he Grand Budapest Hotel, that's fucking horrific trash.

Was there anything you didn't like about it besides Wes Anderson's typical wackiness? It's a beautifully shot film that isn't nearly as goofy as the trailers make it seem.

The concept, the setting, the actors, everything about it just rubbed me up the wrong way from the beginning. I can objectively understand it was a well-put together film, don't get me wrong, but subjectively I just generally dislike it.

I get you. I generally hate his style (it's just weird and flamboyant), but this one was the only exception (though it's tolerable in Fantastic Mr. Fox because it's animated).

Top 10, no particular order:

Pan's Labyrinth
Moon
2001
Reservoir Dogs/Pulp Fiction
The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Wind Rises
The Big Lebowski
The Untouchables
It's a Wonderful Life

Just what I can think of right now; it changes when I rediscover old movies I haven't seen in a while. Just watched Birdman yesterday and I'm considering adding it to the next list.

How the fuck did "patting a character on the head until they blush and smile" turn into "sexually molesting your little sister"?

Are you just talking about experiments on non-consenting subjects?
Yeah.

Are we talking Nazi gas chamber stuff or innocuous traffic surveys? Clearly there's a spectrum that can't be answered with a yes or no. The only reason utilitarianism works for the military is because it's dealing with a volunteer service fighting enemy combatants; experiments on citizens a la MKULTRA are certainly unethical, and with no exceptions I'm aware of, largely fruitless.

3375
What does classification have to do with it?

Are you just talking about experiments on non-consenting subjects?

Self-censorship for a particular audience is hardly egregious.

Is the a gamecube port or something?

It's on the 3DS, but not the GC.

Does this also mean if a woman calls a man a dick then that's sexist towards him?

Legit curious.

Womyn can't be sexist because Sexism  = Prejudice + Power™

I was a Mythic on Bungie.old, yet I've never played Destiny.

Does this mean I get goodies for being old school?

It's just a couple emblems that aren't available unless you were mythic when B.next happened, so it's pretty rare to see (I've never seen another mythic in the game).
